It’s okay not to be okay

We as humans, we can’t avoid having different kinds of emotions especially, in our current situation
today where we have to change a lot when it comes to our daily lives. It is normal to feel something you
not often to felt before for example, being sad, anxious, confuse and a lot more. It is normal because our
feelings or emotions are valid ofcourse , we live as humans.

Some have the ability to have a strong personality where they are able to hold their emotions in
every situation, on the other hand some have this kind of personality or what so called ‘soft-hearted’
people. They can cry easily, can be sad easily and can be jealous easily and I think we should normalize
that. We are not born to be happy always nor to be excited always infact, we are living in this world to
face several challenges and problems that someday, who would know? Those challenges and problems
can be our lifetime lessons, also, it can become our motivation in life to keep going and pursue our
goals.

Korea once published a drama titled ‘Its okay not to be okay’ where it shows mental health
awareness for everyone, ofcourse it is not easy and will never be for the people who experienced and
still experiencing this, but according to the drama “The first step is always the hardest. But once you
take your first step, things will get easier from then on” inshort, we need to overcome it slowly but
surely. Maybe today we are not satisfied on the things that are happening around us but how about
tomorrow or in the other day? No one can tell what may happen in the future, therefore we need to
trust Father God who is always guiding us and more importantly our self, we can’t overcome something
if we always doubt.

I always remind my self these 3 quotes , as well as, you and all of us together should remember this
everytime when we feel that things are not going well according to our expectations. First, ‘Surround
yourself with people who make your heart smile’ we can absolutely relate to this because their
happiness always affects our feelings as a result, the negative thoughts will just disappear. Second, ‘We
are not okay today, but today is not forever. We will be okay again’ moreover, being a positive thinker
can help us to be okay again. Lastly, ‘It is okay. Your feelings are valid. We are valid’ We must prioritize
our feelings first before others. Remaining silent and draining yourself from sadness will never be a
solution, in contrast, we must endure it wait patiently until the time we are waiting have come. Enduring
your feelings can build you to become a stronger person in future.

They say that everything happens for a reason, some will stay and many will go in our life. We have to
give ourself a permission to unplug others when we know that they are not good for our emotional and
physical health anymore,otherwise, you will be always a person whose soul never grows. Above all, If we
want to make people around us happy, we have to find our own happiness first. No pressure, slowly but
surely.
