- Slippers that is only for girls.

- No, we are just using our hands to make slippers.

- Yes, we’re selling our slippers in the market. Yes, we’re selling slippers in other places like
Landayan, Cabuyao, we sell in Laguna only.

- None, this business is ours only.
8. As the population increases in Biñan, is are there any direct effect in the demand of shoes in
Biñan?
- I think there is no direct effect because we didn’t change the price of our products.

- It’s increasing when there are people who are ordering slippers and it’s increasing when
September comes up to December, they will buy for Christmas Gifts. It’s decreasing when
there are no people are ordering slippers.
10. In your opinion, do you think Biñan can still be known in terms of shoe-making industry?
- Yes. Biñan is still known especially Dela Paz and Malaban.
11. Is there any difference between the shoe-making industry in Biñan then and now? If yes, what
are the difference? If none, state why does it remain the same?
- In the past, the price is not that expensive. Nowadays, it’s expensive and the materials are
increasing that’s why it’s changing. Before, it was easy. But now, it’s quite difficult because
there are many styles that we used in making shoes. Yes, style. You will own your own style
too, and if your shoes is in demand, you will have to do many samples/designs, different
kind of shoes, slippers.
12. What are the hindrances or factors that affects in producing and selling shoes?
- If you are lack of investment, you don’t have materials too, lack of glue, lack of cloth. That’s
the problem if your sales are not increasing, you can’t make slippers.

- For me I don’t see any problems, just a normal.

- It is weak in the month of August but in September it will increase until January.

- Yes, there is a chance to be known.

- Nothing it just the same, because until today I am a shoemaker. Nothing in productivity.

- I don’t see any effect maybe in making the product sometimes they mistake in cutting, in
materials? Nothing. There’s no problem in the worker.

- In department store footstep, near in SM now I didn’t supply in SM. In Cinco footstep, I
don’t sell here in Biῆan but if someone want to have a custom of their shoes we sell it.

- Yes, solo.

- Yes, because sometimes lack in workers, but sometimes it has a good effect because it has a
good income.

- Our week month is from April until June it will grow in “ BER” months until January to March
and if June it will weak again maybe because it is the start of the school year and they have a
priority.

- Biῆan is well known to it.

- Yes we have because electric machineries unliked before manual.

- Usually quick glue if is not too sticky or sometime they forget to put it but we can make a

- There are some getting orders here. They sell it in Alabang, Batangas, Tanauan and here
hometown Biῆan.

- None, it was owned by one person.

- Any effect? There are so many customer before and other entrepreneur change their
business. Why it decreases? Materials become expensive because of plastic that enter the
market.

- When it’s December, it has ahigh demand. When rainy season enter like June, July and
August, it starts to falls down the production.

- Maybe it is still 50/50 unlike before when you enter here all houses are production but not
much today. My uncles and aunties are also stopped their production, its look like we are
the one where left and the other were closed.

- Yes it has a large difference. It has a much better production in year 1990’s. Baclaran is one
who order from us sometimes other come to order. Today it is gone and change.

- When there is a flood, our production here also stop.The expensive materials in producing
and also those plastic products come from factory unlike us handcrafted.

- Inherited from their mother and father.

- Yes, by looking in some photos until it became a sample.

- Yes ofcourse, all motors are used by males to be become smooth. Lower part of the shoes,
sandals, and rubber are all processed in motor that used electricity.

- This is order from Baclaran sometimes in Tutuban. We don’t sell in Biñan because it’s sold
per dozen like how many dozen they will order. But there are some getting here lives from
San Pedro, Muntinlupa and lesser lives in Biñan buy because some are also shoe-makers.
7. What is the form of business organization are you involved?
- Her, but there is a manager. The manager where the products delivered.It’s only an order to
be manufactured and then needed to sign to get some materials. It’s like partnership.
8. As the population increases in Biñan, is are there any direct effect in the demand of shoes in
Biñan?
- What demand in product? While it gets larger, order also gets bigger because the quality of
the work is what needed to see. Because if there is an error on product the order become
lesser.

- It depends on the work. Sometimes if they are tired, they are given a one day rest to relax.
Today it should have a low productin. Months before has a low production unlike now. But
we have high production when BER months enter.
10. In your opinion, do you think Biñan can still be known in terms of shoe-making industry?
- Yes, because there are still many shoe-makers.

- When Chinese enter the economy, the materials needed become unavailable. But since
today there are no Chinese, we become productive. When it happened, products from China
become less available. The process of our production here is handcrafted but we also have
machinery for budlock that helps the production faster because of technology that process
products effortless.
12. What are the hindrances or factors that affects in producing and selling shoes?
- When the shoe-makers are tardy. There is no problem in terms of materials because we
have partner. In terms of producing only that causes our deliver delayed.
