The BAY-RAMA Farm was started when the Go Negosyo and Department of
Agriculture were looking for best site for their Techno-Demo for the benefits of the Internal
Displaced Person of Marawi Siege for them to learn how to grow plants and engage in farm
business. Luckily they choose Brgy.BAYABAO,DITSAAN RAMAIN in the Land of
ASALAN M. TAMBILAWAN Family. About 300 IDPs were involved in a Season Long
Training on Agricultural Crop Production from November 2017 to February 2018. After the
successful graduations of 300 IDPs, everyone returns to their respective place to apply what
they have learned during their four months season long training, while the remaining 30 IDPs
and Host Families continued planting and the Department of Agriculture promised to help
support and continue assisting the farmer for the sustainability of the farm. It is now known
as BAYRAMA FARM INSTITUTE

In general, the causes of high poverty incidence are low farm productivity, lack of
livelihood skills, high dependency on government services and goods which are grossly
limited. The Maranao tribe is a business type of person in which mostly relies only on “easy
money business” and some poor families rely only on their wealthy relatives. This project is
an income generating and its focus is to encourage farmers to have their alternative source of
income. It will likewise motivate people, especially the women to be interested in rendering
participation in livelihood programs in their community to have another source of income.
