The RDCO modules are add-on communication modules for ABB frequency drives that provide fiber optic DDCS channels. There are different module types that support various optical component and communication speed combinations on channels 0-3. The modules install directly into the drive and provide connectors for fiber optic cables to external devices to connect to the drive via the channels for applications like fieldbus communication, I/O modules, or PC tools. Proper installation and handling of the fiber optic cables is important for safety and performance.
