EMOTIONAL CAUSES

Aurum Met: for great depression and possible self-harming or suicidal

thoughts in generally melancholic types.

Calcarea Phos: ailments from grief and unhappy love; sudden intense
unexpected grief; loss of motivation in life; leucorrhea like white of egg
results; love for animals. – for fretfulness, skin problems, vertigo, migraine
and rheumatic problems, coming on after unrequited love. They are often
worse the more they think about the problem. They are better on their own,
although they cannot settle and move from room to room. Anaemic children
who are peevish, flabby, have cold extremities and feeble digestion;
Numbness and crawling are characteristic sensations; Always wants to go
somewhere. Headaches of school children about puberty. Diarrhea from
juicy fruits or cider; during dentition. Green, slimy; menses early, excessive
with violent backache. Nymphomania with weakness in uterine region (Plat)

Causticum: for illness or ailments after disappointed or unrequited love in

oversensitive types who are always sensitive to the plight of others,
despite their own cares and woes.

Hyoscyamus: for severe restlessness, even amounting to fits after a

disappointed love affair. May become jealous, suspicious or angry and
may tear up love letters or destroy all reminders of their former partner or
lover

HATE

Anacardium orientale: is a very useful remedy in easily offended,

hypochondriacal types. They become vindictive and malicious in their hate,
although they often seem to vacillate in their decision-making. They may be
subject to mood swings; at times being vitriolic with a desire to swear and
rant, while at other times they seem on the point of forgiveness. This polarity
is characteristic, as is a basic inferiority feeling. They may secretly feel
inferior to the object of their hatred.

Cuprum metallicum: for hate in those people who get fixed ideas in their
mind. They become suspicious and spiteful. If they can even a score they
most assuredly will. They tend to suffer spasms and cramps and may be
aware of a metallic taste in their mouth.

Lachesis: for hate in talkative or loquacious types. They can become

extremely angry and will look for a means of verbally hurting the target of
their anger, and then when they have them at their mercy they go that bit
further. It is as if they have a desire to put the knife in (figuratively
speaking) and then give it a twist for extra measure. They may feel bloated
at times and generally hate having constrictive clothing about their necks.

Natrum muriaticum: for hate in melancholic types who are easily offended
and who tend to hold grudges, often for years. They can actually seem to
nurture their hatred, which they find totally justifiable. They are worse for
consolation and generally have a craving for salty foods

Nitric acidum: these people cannot and will not forget a slight, and may feel
totally unable to forgive. They themselves find it difficult ever to apologise.
They cannot let matters drop and may be incessantly bringing the subject up
with family and friends, to the point of losing sympathy. They are generally
prickly in nature and may pester people about their problems and their
health.

Phosphorus: hate in creative, artistic types who are very sensitive. They
generally like being the centre of attention and dislike being shoved from
that position, easily developing a hatred of the one who upstages them. They
may hold grudges and their temper may erupt swiftly like a newly-struck
match.

Sulphur: for those people with a strong sense of justice. They can develop
hatred of institutions and organizations. They may be of a philosophical
nature, with a tendency to slouch, lean and fidget. They can be extremely
good campaigners, because they are so passionate in their hatred.
JEALOUSY

Apis mellifica: for those who tend to be as “busy as bees”. They can be
workaholic, controlling types who can be very irritable when crossed. They
can be “stung” by jealousy and be very protective of family and loved ones.
When anyone threatens their security, their home, their relationship, they
will be prepared to sting back. They have a highly suspicious nature.
Physically they are subject to problems with mucus membranes, skin and
joints. They tend to be clumsy.

Arsenicum album: for fussy, tidy, restless people. They may become jealous
of anyone who possesses neater or more aesthetically refined things than
themselves.

Hyoscyamus: for talkative, suspicious types who tend to be immodest. Their

jealousy may be so intense that they may act rashly and make a fool of
themselves. They may go into fits of laughter about inconsequential matters.
They may also develop a fear of being poisoned, so will become suspicious
of food, medicines and drinks.

Lachesis: for talkative, suspicious people who often experience bloating.

They are highly susceptible to jealousy and may be driven to fits of temper
which comes out as verbal abuse. This jealousy pattern may be apparent in
females premenstrual, or around the time of the menopause.

Lycopodium: for worried, highly-strung individuals who anticipate events

with fear, often for a disproportionately lengthy period of time beforehand.
They may envy people who can carry off any situation, while they agonize
for days. They tend to be professionals and may become acutely jealous of
their colleague’s attainments or popularity.

Nux vomica: for fiery, irritable types who tend to use stimulants. They are
constantly pressured and are often high-achievers. Their jealousy smoulders
on and they are liable to bouts of irritability. They are impatient, never
satisfied with their lot and prone to jealousy. They are often plagued with
digestive problems.

Pulsatilla: for timid, weepy types who are very changeable. They are easily
influenced by others. They get peeved at people, become jealous very
swiftly, yet will tend to bottle their emotions up. They are rarely thirsty and
have to be reminded to drink.

Stramonium: for intense, talkative types. They tend to have rapid mood
changes and although they may seem placid, they can flare up and feel as if
they could do violence. They can bite, scratch or strike out when in such a
mood. They tend to be full of fears; of the dark, of animals, and of being
alone. Jealousy may seem totally out of context. They may be prone to
stammering

INCREASED VERBAL ACTIVITY

Sings

Belladonna: suddenness, heat, congestion, redness, desires lemonades

Opium: sleep overpowering, difficult to awake

Stramonium: panic in dark, aversion to bright light, chilly, thirsty, sings or

talks on same subject, face panic stricken, dull, anxious

Veratrum Alb: loves cool refrershing drinks, chilly, colapse or perspiring,

otherwise hot, haughty, hopeful, slanders, curses and prays

ANGER
Platina: anger from hurt of ego, pride; Irresistible impulse to kill; pre-
eminently a woman's remedy. Strong tendency to paralysis, anaesthesia,
localized numbness and coldness are shown. Hysterical spasms; pains
increase and decrease gradually (Stannum). Tremulousness. Sleeps with
legs far apart (Chamom).

Staphisagria: violent outbursts of passion, diseases of the genitourinary tract

and skin, most frequently give symptoms calling for this drug. Acts on teeth
and alveolar periosteum. Ill effects of suppressed anger and insults.
Sexual sins and excesses. Very sensitive. Lacerated tissues. Pain and
nervousness after extraction of teeth. Sphincters lacerated or stretched.
Recurrent styes, Prostatic troubles; frequent urination, burning in urethra
when not urinating (Thuja; Sabal; Ferr pic). Ineffectual urging to urinate in
newly married women. Eczema of head, ears, face, and body; thick scabs,
dry, and itch violently; scratching changes location of itching. Fig-warts
pedunculated (Thuja). Muscles, especially of calves, feel bruised. Backache;
worse in morning before rising. Crural (leg) neuralgia.

SLEEP

and the pain is unbearable boils, carbuncles, with bursting sensation, special
influence on kidney and liver (Eel serum); sleepiness only in the
beginning of summers

ANGER

Cimicifuga: wide action upon the cerebrospinal and muscular system, as

well as upon the uterus and ovaries. Especially useful in rheumatic,
nervous subjects with ovarian irritation, uterine cramps and heavy limbs.
Agitation and pain indicate it. Pains like electric shocks Great depression,
with dream of impending evil. opening and shutting sensation in brain.
Intense aching of eyeball. Pain from eyes to top of head. Amenorrhoea
(use Macrotin preferably). Pain in ovarian region; shoots upward and down
anterior surface of thighs. Irregular, slow, trembling pulse. Tremulous
action. Angina pectoris. Numbness of left arm; feels as if bound to side;
Stiffness and contraction in neck and back. Intercostal rheumatism; Jerking
of limbs. Stiffness in tendo-Achilles. Heaviness in lower extremities. Heavy,
aching, tensive pain

Phosphoric Acid: Whenever the system has been exposed to the ravages of
acute disease, excesses, grief, loss of vital fluids; "debility" is very
marked in this remedy, producing a nervous exhaustion; Listless.
Impaired memory (Anac). Apathetic, indifferent; crushing in temples,
Vertigo toward evening, when standing or walking; Blue rings around eyes.
Pain as if eyeballs were forcibly pressed together and into head. Symptoms
following sour food and drink. Enlarged spleen (Ceanoth). Aching in
umbilical region. Loud rumbling. milky. Diabetes. Micturition, preceded by
anxiety and followed by burning. Frequent urination at night. Phosphaturia.
swollen glans penis. Sexual power deficient; Parts relax during embrace
(Nux). Weak feeling in chest from talking (Stann). Pressure behind the
sternum. Falling out of the hair (Nat mur; Selen).

THIRST (Thirsty, Thirstless)

JEALOUSY

(coughing blood), paralysis, retention of urine;
fright, agony, restless. Acute rheumatism, inflammation in tooth, eye, facial
neuralgia, agony, intolerable pain.

HOT WEATHER

Baptisia: dysentery in summers; great muscular soreness and putrid

phenomenon; septic conditions, chill with high fever, extreme prostration

Carbo Veg: esthenic fevers due to summer heat, feels lifeless; billiousness,
adynamic state (dull), due to abuse of cold drinks, chaffing rawness of anus;
summer asthma, head and toothache. Epistaxis, skin blue, cold, ecchymosed,
varicose veins, asthma of aged with blue skin.
Gelsemium: general depression from the heat of summer, dizziness,
drowsiness, dullness and trembling; motor paralysis, muscle weakness;
aloof, isolated, detached, stupor, marginally conscious, sleepy, sedantry
people, completely fagged out, also in hot humid weather;
remittent or intermittent fevers, colds in summers, ENT affected, throat
pains extend to ears; meningitis, head hot, feet cold, stupefaction;
Influenza, vertigo, band feeling around; occipetal headache. Wants to be

Kali Bicchromicum: fleshy, fat people; complaints in extremely hot weather,

FEVERS

1. Camphor: If fever comes along with chillness and the patient suffers
from these symptoms in the early stage of fever as sensation of fever or
coryza, watery nose and aggravation of the symptoms of fever by doing a
little labour, the patient should take one drop Mother Tincture of the
medicine Camphor thrice a day.
2. Ipecac: Intermittent fever: in beginning of irregular cases; with nausea,
or from gastric disturbance; after abuse of, or suppression from quinine.
Intermittent dyspepsia, every other day at same hour; fever, with persistent
nausea. Oversensitive to heat and cold. Adapted to cases where the gastric
symptoms predominate. Tongue clean or slightly coated. In all diseases with
constant and continual nausea. Nausea; with profuse saliva; vomiting of
white, glairy mucus in large quantities, without relief; sleepy afterwards;
Aggravation; periodically; from veal, moist warm wind, lying down.
3. Aconite: Fever: Skin dry and hot; face red, or pale and red alternately;
intense nervous restlessness, tossing about in agony; becomes intolerable
towards evening and on going to sleep. Complaints caused by exposure to
dry cold air, dry north or west winds, or exposure to draughts of cold air
while in a perspiration; bad effects of checked perspiration. Great fear and
anxiety of mind, with great nervous excitability; Restless, anxious, does
everything in great haste; must change position often; everything startles
him. Tongue coated white. Intense thirst. Thirst for cold water. Bitter taste of
everything except water. Aggravation Evening and night, pains are
insupportable; in a warm room; when rising from bed; lying on affected side.
Amelioration In the open air Aconite should never be given simply to
control the fever, never alternated with other drugs for that purpose. If it be a
case requiring Aconite no other drug is needed;
4. Belladonna: Fever: A high feverish state with comparative absence of
toxaemia. Burning, pungent, steaming, heat. Feet icy cold. Superficial blood-
vessels, distended. Perspiration dry only on head. No thirst with fever.
Belladonna always is associated with hot, red skin, flushed face, glaring
eyes, throbbing carotids, excited mental state, hyperaesthesia of all senses,
delirium, restless sleep, convulsive movements, dryness of mouth and throat
with aversion to water. Worse; touch, jar, noise, draught, after noon, lying
down.
5. Glonoine: If fever comes because of sunstroke and the patient suffers
from severe pain, he should take Glonoine 30.
6. Ferrum Phos: If the patient has no symptom of fever, this biochemical
medicine should be given to the patient at the regular intervals of 2-3 hours.
Take this medicine until fever subsides completely.
7. Rhus Tox: If a person becomes the victim of fever after wetting in water,
the use of Rhus Tox 30 provides a lot of relief. The medicine Dulcamara
also can be used for the treatment of fever. Adynamic; restless, trembling.
Typhoid; tongue dry and brown; sordes; bowels loose; great restlessness.
Intermittent; chill, with dry cough and restlessness. During heat, urticaria.
Chilly, as if cold water were poured over him, followed by heat and
inclination to stretch the limbs. Ailments: from spraining or straining a
single part, muscle or tendon; over lifting, particularly damp ground; too
much summer bathing in lake or river. Great restlessness, anxiety,
apprehension; cannot remain in bed, must change position often to obtain
relief from pain. Corners of mouth ulcerated, fever blisters around mouth
and on chin. Tongue: dry, sore, red, cracked; triangular red tip; takes imprint
of teeth. Great thirst, with dry tongue, mouth and throat. Aggravation; during
sleep, cold, wet rainy weather and after rain; at night, during rest, drenching,
when lying on back or right side. Amelioration; warm, dry weather, motion;
walking,change of position, rubbing, warm applications, from stretching out
limbs.
8. Nux Vomica: If the cause of fever is constipation, the use of Nux Vomica
30 provides a lot of relief. This medicine is cold natured but it is used in that
condition when the patient feels cold and heat alternately. Fever; Cold stage
predominates. Paroxysms anticipate in morning. Excessive rigor, with
blueness of finger-nails. Aching in limbs and back, and gastric symptoms.
Chilly, must be covered in every stage of fever. Perspiration sour; only one
side of body. Chilliness on being uncovered, yet he does not allow being
covered. Dry heat of the body. Oversensitive: to external impressions; to
noise, odors, light or music; trifling ailments are unbearable; every harmless
word offends Bad effects of: coffee, tobacco, alcoholic stimulants; highly
spiced or seasoned food; over-eating; long-continued mental over-exertion;
sedentary habits; loss of sleep; aromatic or patent medicine; sitting on cold
stones, especially in warm weather. Aggravation; morning, mental exertion,
after eating, touch, spices, stimulants, narcotics, dry weather, cold.
Amelioration; from a nap, if allowed to finish it; in evening, while at rest, in
damp, wet weather, strong pressure.
9. Lyco: If the woman suffers from fever in the evening from 4 to 8 ‘o’
clock, the medicine Lyco can be given to her. Fever; Chill between 3 and 4
p.m., followed by sweat. Icy coldness. Feels as if lying on ice. One chill is
followed by another. Neglected pneumonia, with great dyspnoea, flying of
alae nasae and presence of mucous rales. For persons intellectually keen, but
physically weak; upper part of body emaciated, lower part semi-dropsical;
predisposed to lung and hepatic affections. Ailments from fright, anger,
mortification, or vexation with reserved displeasure. Intolerant of cold
drinks; Craves everything warm. Aggravation; right side, from right to left,
from above downward, 4 to 8 p.m. from heat or warm room, hot air, bed.
Warm applications, except throat and stomach which are better from warm
drinks. Amelioration; By motion, after midnight, from warm food and drink,
on getting cold, from being uncovered.
10. Bryonia: If fever comes again and again after disappearing once, the
patient should take Bryonia 30 for relief. This medicine is also useful in
typhoid too. Fever; Pulse full, hard, tense, and quick. Chill with external
coldness, dry cough, stitches. Internal heat. Sour sweat after slight exertion.
Easy, profuse perspiration. Rheumatic and typhoid marked by gastro-hepatic
complications. Complaints: when warm weather sets in, after cold days;
from cold drinks or ice in hot weather; after taking cold or getting hot in
summer; from chilling when overheated; Lips parched, dry, cracked. dryness
of mouth, tongue, and throat, with excessive thirst. Tongue coated yellowish,
dark brown; heavily white in gastric derangement. Bitter taste. Aggravation;
warmth, any motion, morning, eating, hot weather, exertion, touch. Cannot
sit up; gets faint and sick. Amelioration ; lying on painful side, pressure, rest,
cold things.

MATERIA MEDICA

HUMID WEATHER (BEFORE THE RAINS)

Bryonia: biliousness in humid weather, also in hot weather

Carbo Veg: Sore throat in humid weather, hoarseness, prone to protracted

sultry weather; cold, cough, indigestion, gas, pain in epigastric region, better
passing gas, sour, rancid. Flatus mostly moist, burning; feels suffocated,
wants to be fanned.
Calcarea Flour: headaches in sultry weather; ascending or descending
aggravates.

Gelsemium: Anxiety, worried in humid and also wet weather.

Glonine and Lachesis: headache in sultry weather

Iodium: croupy cough, pain in throat, in humid weather

Kali bichromicum: constant sneezing

Magnesium Phos: difficult breathing in sultry weather, give in warm

weather

Magnetis polus Arcticus: humid weather causes debility; languid due to

sultry weather, feels opressed

Natrum Carb: sudden anxiety in sultry weather

Natrum Mur: Amenorrhea in sultry weather (follow with Kali Carb)

Sepia: feels oppressed in sultry weather (Gels in hot)

Syphillinum: asthma in hot sultry weather, also Ipecac with rattling in cheast

Aloe: irritability, gas, diarrhea, large flatus (Arg. Nit- Eructation like soda

Borax: pain swelling in decayed tooth in rainy weather

Cholerstinum: Erratic, unpredictable rheumatism in rainy weather

bathing, washing, open air and talking aggravate, joints feel sprained, stiff,

Hepar Sulph: Irritable, Over dressed to keep warm, no endurance to cold,

inflammatory catarrahal states re-appear,
can't bear to be covered (Psorinum), starts with sneezing, watery nose, which
turns thick in a day or two, tickling cough.
Croup (upper respiratory track inflammation) Aconite first, Hepar later.
Asthma in dry or wet cold (NS in wet cold),
Recurring bronchitis, hoarseness, aphonia (Causticum with stomach
complaints), glandular problems, sprained like pain,
worse from cold and at night.

Ipecac: Oversensitive to heat or cold, nausea, sore throat at the end of cold,
hoarseness, cold food and drinks disagree,
cough causing pain in head and stomach, cough morning and evening and
when sleeping, nausea, retching, rattling mucous
in chest causes breathlessness, always cold especially near fire, nose
blocked, haemorrhage. External cold, internal heat,

Mercurius Sol: feels dull, lethargic in cold weather, discharge thick

(Pulsatilla)
Nux Vomica: Bad effects of sitting on cold floors, tendency to take cold,
pain in head, laryngitis, toothache and asthma aggravated,
stuffy cold, nose blocked, better open air, worse in door, cough dry at night
fluent during day. Shivering after dinner, stomach ache.

HOT WEATHER

Aconite: blindness due to summer heat

Antimonium Crudum: ailments from excessive summer heat or radiating

heat, does not want to be touched (Arnica from trauma)
or talked; biliousness, summer diarrhea, loathing for food, stools solid and
liquid mixed, from eating sour foods, vinegar, cold bathing,

Swelling of axillary glands. Inflammation around root of nails. Burning in
soles; edema of feet; itching between toes . Worse, music (makes her sad);
lying on left side; dampness of basement, damp weather

Natrum Nitricum: in hot weather, profuse perspiration and also urination.

Hemoglobinuria. Uric acid diathesis. Asthma with urine supersaturated with
solids

Nux Vomica: looseness of brain sensation on moving head. Thin, spare,

quick, active, nervous, and irritable. easily chilled; Sullen, fault-finding.
Headache in the sunshine (Glon; Nat carb). Vertigo, with momentary loss of
consciousness. better in damp, wet weather (Caust), strong pressure.

Podophyllum: summer diarrhea, stomach upset due to fruits, Thirst for large
quantities of cold water (Bry). Vomiting of hot, frothy mucus.
Heartburn; gagging or empty retching. Vomiting of milk.

Ranunculus Bulb: pains and soreness, as if bruised feeling in the sternum,

ribs, hypochondria, intercostal rheumatism, pain in chest worse respiring,
feeling of ulcers below the skin. Bad effects of Alcohol; delirium tremens.
Chilliness in chest when walking in open air; Herptic eruptions,

Selenium: irrestible desire to lie and sleep; strength leaves suddenly; feels
better as the sum begins to set; summer headaches with melancholia,
(Laches, Natrum Mur, Camphor) pulsating, compressive, vertigo, easily
fatigued; Hoarseness of singers. Much clear, starchy mucus (Stann).
liver enlarged, with fine rash over liver region. Stool constipated, hard and
accumulated, Loss of sexual power, Worse, after sleep, in hot weather,
draught of air ; sleep disturbed.
Vipera: sycotic, varicose veins, loss of elasticity, in the beginning of
summers, pain in stomach, ovaries; swelling of extremities, legs, annually;
skin yellow, jaundice; liver enlarged, uterus sore; haematuria, extremities
When they are allowed to hang down, it seems as if they would burst,

EMOTIONAL CAUSES

Aurum Met: for great depression and possible self-harming or suicidal

results; love for animals. Fretfulness, skin problems, vertigo, migraine and

the more they think about the problem. They are better on their own,

who are peevish, flabby, have cold extremities and feeble digestion;

Causticum: for illness or ailments after disappointed or unrequited love in

oversensitive types who are always sensitive to the plight of others, despite
their own cares and woes.

Cimicifuga: for depression and the feeling of impending doom after an

unsuccessful romance. They may develop painful conditions that feel like
electric shocks. Women may suffer gynecological problems

Hyoscyamus: for severe restlessness, even amounting to fits after a

disappointed love affair. May become jealous, suspicious or angry and may
tear up love letters or destroy all reminders of their former partner or lover.

Ignatia: contradiction of symptoms; thirst during chill; lying on painful side

relieves; grief, disappointed love; melancholic. Ideal lover; spinal
symptoms; ticks, twitching due to emotional trauma (Natrum Mur is
chronic), loses all charm in life, hysteria; Sighing and sobbing; Headache as
if a nail were driven out through the side. Prolapse painful constriction of

Natrum Mur: Inequitable love with wrong person (Aurum Mur Natronatum),
one sided love, catalepsy (unconscious with body stiff); menses suppressed
due to disappointments in love (Helleborus); grief due to death of loved one;
jealousy in love (Hyoscyamus); sick due to separation from loved one
(Ignatia); ticks, twitching (after Ignatia)

Platina: religious haughtiness, traveller's constipation; localized numbness

and coldness; contempt for others. Arrogant, proud. Menses early dark-
clotted, nymphomania, Smoking aggravate

Sepia: for loss of interest in everything and indifference to everyone, even

their loved ones. They may have a general tendency to be “brown and
down”, but some physical activity (classically dancing) may transiently lift
them.

Silicea: can't stand contradiction, Diseases of bones, caries and necrosis.

Intolerance of alcoholic stimulants. Vertigo from looking up; better,
wrapping up warmly; when lying on left side (Magnes mur; Strontia).
Profuse sweat of head, Roaring in ears. Sensation of a hair on tongue.
Violent cough when lying down, with thick, yellow lumpy expectoration;
sexual erethism (Sensitive)

Staphisagria: love with someone not attainable, same sex, writes poetry in
memory; Ill effects of anger and insults. Sexual sins and excesses. Very
sensitive. Recurrent styes. Chalazæ (Platanus). Constipation (2 drops
tincture night and morning), hemorrhoids, with enlarged prostate; Sensation
as if a drop of urine were rolling continuously along the channel,burning in

HATE

Hate is one of the hardest emotions to live with. Whereas love is associated
with the heart, hate has been associated with the soul. When it persists for
long enough it can almost literally seem to eat away at the soul. All positive
emotions become forfeit to the unrelenting burning heat of hate.

When hate rears its head it can never do the individual any good. All sorts of
ailments may arise, yet not be linked up with this emotion. It is one of the
negative emotions that the individual needs help to release. Homeopathic
remedies may help, along with other psychological or counselling
techniques.

Anacardium orientale: is a very useful remedy in easily offended,

hypochondria cal types. They become vindictive and malicious in their hate,
although they often seem to vacillate in their decision-making. They may be
subject to mood swings; at times being vitriolic with a desire to swear and
rant, while at other times they seem on the point of forgiveness. This polarity
is characteristic, as is a basic inferiority feeling. They may secretly feel
inferior to the object of their hatred.

Cuprum metallicum: for hate in those people who get fixed ideas in their
mind. They become suspicious and spiteful. If they can even a score they
most assuredly will. They tend to suffer spasms and cramps and may be
aware of a metallic taste in their mouth.

Lachesis: for hate in talkative or loquacious types. They can become

extremely angry and will look for a means of verbally hurting the target of
their anger, and then when they have them at their mercy they go that bit
further. It is as if they have a desire to put the knife in (figuratively
speaking) and then give it a twist for extra measure. They may feel bloated
at times and generally hate having constrictive clothing about their necks.
Natrum muriaticum: for hate in melancholic types who are easily offended
and who tend to hold grudges, often for years. They can actually seem to
nurture their hatred, which they find totally justifiable. They are worse for
consolation and generally have a craving for salty foods.

Nitric acidum: these people cannot and will not forget a slight, and may feel
totally unable to forgive. They themselves find it difficult ever to apologies.
They cannot let matters drop and may be incessantly bringing the subject up
with family and friends, to the point of losing sympathy. They are generally
prickly in nature and may pester people about their problems and their
health.

Phosphorus: hate in creative, artistic types who are very sensitive. They
generally like being the centre of attention and dislike being shoved from
that position, easily developing a hatred of the one who upstages them. They
may hold grudges and their temper may erupt swiftly like a newly-struck
match.

Sulphur: for those people with a strong sense of justice. They can develop
hatred of institutions and organizations. They may be of a philosophical
nature, with a tendency to slouch, lean and fidget. They can be extremely
good campaigners, because they are so passionate in their hatred.

JEALOUSY

Apis mellifica: for those who tend to be as “busy as bees”. They can be
workaholic, controlling types who can be very irritable when crossed. They
can be “stung” by jealousy and be very protective of family and loved ones.
When anyone threatens their security, their home, their relationship, they
will be prepared to sting back. They have a highly suspicious nature.
Physically they are subject to problems with mucus membranes, skin and
joints. They tend to be clumsy.

Arsenicum album: for fussy, tidy, restless people. They may become jealous
of anyone who possesses neater or more aesthetically refined things than
themselves.

Hyoscyamus: for talkative, suspicious types who tend to be immodest. Their

jealousy may be so intense that they may act rashly and make a fool of
themselves. They may go into fits of laughter about inconsequential matters.
They may also develop a fear of being poisoned, so will become suspicious
of food, medicines and drinks.

Lachesis: for talkative, suspicious people who often experience bloating.

They are highly susceptible to jealousy and may be driven to fits of temper
which comes out as verbal abuse. This jealousy pattern may be apparent in
females premenstrual, or around the time of the menopause.

Lycopodium: for worried, highly-strung individuals who anticipate events

with fear, often for a disproportionately lengthy period of time beforehand.
They may envy people who can carry off any situation, while they agonise
for days. They tend to be professionals and may become acutely jealous of
their colleague’s attainments or popularity.

Nux vomica: for fiery, irritable types who tend to use stimulants. They are
constantly pressured and are often high-achievers. Their jealousy smoulders
on and they are liable to bouts of irritability. They are impatient, never
satisfied with their lot and prone to jealousy. They are often plagued with
digestive problems.

Pulsatilla: for timid, weepy types who are very changeable. They are easily
influenced by others. They get peeved at people, become jealous very
swiftly, yet will tend to bottle their emotions up. They are rarely thirsty and
have to be reminded to drink.

Stramonium: for intense, talkative types. They tend to have rapid mood
changes and although they may seem placid, they can flare up and feel as if
they could do violence. They can bite, scratch or strike out when in such a
mood. They tend to be full of fears; of the dark, of animals, and of being
alone. Jealousy may seem totally out of context. They may be prone to
stammering.

ANGER

Chamomilla: Spiteful, snappish. Complaints from anger and vexation -

metorrhagia, uterine disorder, threatened abortion; uncivil, fever after breast
feeding, mastitis, puerperal convulsions, suppression of milk, brought by
anger; facial neuralgia due to vexation.
Cimicifuga: wide action upon the cerebrospinal and muscular system, as
well as upon the uterus and ovaries. Especially useful in rheumatic,
nervous subjects with ovarian irritation, uterine cramps and heavy limbs.
Agitation and pain indicate it. Pains like electric shocks Great depression,
with dream of impending evil. opening and shutting sensation in brain.
Intense aching of eyeball. Pain from eyes to top of head. Amenorrhoea (use
Macrotin preferably). Pain in ovarian region; shoots upward and down
anterior surface of thighs. Irregular, slow, trembling pulse. Tremulous
action. Angina pectoris. Numbness of left arm; feels as if bound to side;
Stiffness and contraction in neck and back. Intercostal rheumatism; Jerking
of limbs. Stiffness in tendon-Achilles. Heaviness in lower extremities.
Heavy, aching, tensive pain

Coffea: Great nervous agitation and restlessness. Extreme sensitiveness

characterizes this remedy. Neuralgia in various parts; always with great
nervous excitability and intolerance of pain, driving to despair. Unusual
activity of mind and body. Bad effects of sudden emotions, surprises, joy,
anger. Nervous palpitation. as if brain were torn to pieces, as if nail were
driven in head. Toothache; temporarily relieved by holding ice-water in the
mouth (Mangan opposite). Hypersensitive vulva and vagina. Voluptuous
itching. Sleepless, on account mental activity; Crural neuralgia better
pressure.

Colocynth: irritable, vexed, easily angered, impatient, throws things in

hands, morose (ill tempered), diarrhea, colic, better bending double.

Crataegus: Produces giddiness, lowered pulse, and air hunger and reduction
in blood-pressure. Acts on muscle of heart, and is a heart tonic. Irregularity
of heart. Insomnia of aortic sufferers; anemia; edema; cutaneous chilliness.
High arterial tension. Is a sedative in cross, irritable patients with cardiac
symptoms. Arteriosclerosis. Said to have a solvent power upon crustaceous
and calcareous deposits in arteries. Diabetes; Cardiac dropsy. Fatty
degeneration. Aortic disease. Extreme dyspnoea on least exertion

Nux Vomica: thin, spare, quick, active, nervous, intolerant and irritable.
Feels cheated, feels deprived of due reward, very irritable, Sullen, fault-
finding. Headache in the sunshine (Glon; Nat carb). Stuffy colds, snuffles
nausea in the morning, after eating. Weight and pain in stomach; worse,
eating, some time after; region of stomach very sensitive to pressure (Bry;
Ars). Epigastrium bloated, with pressure s of a stone, several hours after
eating. frequent ineffectual desire, or passing stool; Itching, blind
hemorrhoids, Irritable bladder; from spasmodic sphincter. Asthma, with
fullness in stomach, morning or after eating. Cough brings on bursting
headache Chilliness on being uncovered, yet he does not allow being
covered blueness of finger-nails.

Phosphoric Acid: Whenever the system has been exposed to the ravages of
acute disease, excesses, grief, loss of vital fluids; "debility" is very marked
in this remedy, producing a nervous exhaustion; Listless. Impaired memory
(Anac). Apathetic, indifferent; crushing in temples, Vertigo toward evening,
when standing or walking; Blue rings around eyes. Symptoms following
sour food and drink. Enlarged spleen (Ceanoth). Aching in umbilical region.
Loud rumbling. milky. Diabetes. Micturition, preceded by anxiety and
followed by burning. Frequent urination at night. Phosphaturia. swollen
glans penis. Sexual power deficient; Parts relax during embrace (Nux).
Weak feeling in chest from talking (Stann). Pressure behind the sternum.
Falling out of the hair (Nat mur; Selen).

Platina: anger from hurt of ego, pride; Irresistible impulse to kill; per-
eminently a woman's remedy. Strong tendency to paralysis, anaesthesia,
localized numbness and coldness are shown. Hysterical spasms; pains
increase and decrease gradually (Stannum). Tremulousness. Sleeps with
legs far apart (Chamom).

Silicea: can't stand contradiction, violent anger, Diseases of bones, caries

and necrosis. Intolerance of alcoholic stimulants. Vertigo from looking up;
better, wrapping up warmly; when lying on left side (Magnes mur; Strontia).
Profuse sweat of head, Roaring in ears. Sensation of a hair on tongue.
Violent cough when lying down, with thick, yellow lumpy expectoration;
sexual erethism (Sensitive)

Staphisagria: violent outbursts of passion, diseases of the genitourinary tract

and skin, most frequently give symptoms calling for this drug. Acts on teeth
and alveolar periosteum. Ill effects of suppressed anger and insults. Sexual
sins and excesses. Very sensitive. Lacerated tissues. Pain and nervousness
after extraction of teeth. Sphincters lacerated or stretched. Recurrent styes,
Prostatic troubles; frequent urination, burning in urethra when not urinating
(Thuja; Sabal; Ferr pic). Ineffectual urging to urinate in newly married
women. Eczema of head, ears, face, and body; thick scabs, dry, and itch
violently; scratching changes location of itching. Fig-warts pedunculated
(Thuja). Muscles, especially of calves, feel bruised. Backache;
worse in morning before rising. Crural (leg) neuralgia.
