number day by day and in 2016, it is only 14% of their income.
Cars
There has been a growth in expense of Bangladeshi citizens to buy cars. This can be
attributed to that the people of these days are easy-going. In 1990, Bangladeshi citizens used to
expend 23% of their income to buy cars. But with the passage of time, their expense in the
same sector has increased and has become almost double in 2016 and it is now 45% of their
income.

According to the chart, in 1990, the Bangladeshi citizens used to expend 9% of their
income to get patrol or fuel. There is a steep decline in the expense of patrol or fuel. With the

for cars, restaurant and computers has increased in 2016 much or less comparing with that of
1990. On the other hand, the expense of Bangladeshi citizens for food, patrol/fuel, furniture
and books has decreased much or less comparing with their expense in 1990. It also clear that
Bangladeshi citizens expend more for luxurious things in 2016, but, earlier they used to expend
less for these in 1990.
