Onset and Rime
All single syllable words can be divides into two,the onset and the rime.
An onset is an initial consonant sound. Ex. d in dog, ch in champ
A rime is the vowel and the rest of the syllable that follows.

Realistic and Fanciful
Realistic- an event that can happen in real life.
Fanciful or Imaginary- is a make-believe story and can only happen in
you imagination.
Contraction - is a shortened way of writing two combined words. An
apostrophe is used to take the place of the omitted letters.
