CHAPTER III
Methods of Research
This study presents the research design, participants, sampling procedure, research instrument, data gathering procedure and data analysis of our study.
Research Design
This study is a qualitative research as it uses the interview method to access sociodemographic profile such us about what’s your name, how old are you, where do you live the top three question preference of students of choosing working that affect the studying of senior high school students of BTECH school yr. 2019-2020. Descriptive research is a purposive of data gathering, analyzing, classifying and tabulating data bout prevailing conditions, practice, beliefs, process, trends and cause effect relationship.
Participants of the Study
The participants of our study are the students of 11th grade academic strand of Baliwag Polytechnic College (SY.2019-2020) who are working and studying at the same time. The respondents will provide us the data we need for the said study.
Sampling Procedure
The population of the subject for this study will came from the Baliwag Polytechnic College specifically from the Acads students. Researchers used Non-Probability (purposive) sampling that is capable for this study. Students having part time job working students from Baliwag Polytechnic College are the subjects that the researchers' selected.
Research Instrument
The research instrument used in our research was an interview to collect the data and information needed for the study. The research question tried to explore the perception of BTech students on working while studying. The questionnaire was the main instrument used to gathering of data. In the formulation of questionnaire items, the researchers used a simple and clear language to enable the respondents to understand and answer the question adequately.
Data Gathering Procedure
After the problems were identified, a survey of related literature and studies, from foreign source, was conducted. Based on these related sources, the statement of the problem was constructed of which then, became the basis for the construction of the research questionnaire. Answered questionnaires then, will be gathered, responses coded and will be subject to the appropriate statistical computation for reliability. The students name will then be deleted from the list of the total population so as not to include them again in the selection of the sample population.
Data Analysis
The researcher will have an interview to gather all the data. After the interview on the respondents-grade 11 Acads students in BTech, the researcher will combine all the answer of the chosen students. Fixing it in a proper way without changing its thought. To analyze the data, the researcher will make a transcription, so that the topic of the study and the answer of the respondents will be related or connected to each other.
