Lower Kindergarten known as LKG is a primary education which is very important as it helps

build a strong foundation of education and makes children more comfortable towards higher
education. LKG contains the basic sessions of writing, playing, singing, painting, music, etc. It is
an important basic building block that prepares the kids for primary education. At this stage, the
main focus of education lies in intellectual, physical and linguistic growth of a child. LKG students
mostly learn bits and pieces of alphabets and numbers verbally.
So, keeping the tender age of kids in mind the Council has prepared LKG syllabus ICSE in such
a way that students love to read it. For every child, the first part that constitutes the compulsory
education is Kindergarten. It prepares the children for the primary level of education. So, special
attention has been given while framing LKG syllabus ICSE. To develop writing and reading skills
at the LKG level, LKG syllabus ICSE includes subjects which are mentioned below:
