GUIDELINES ON TOWER BUILDING COMPETITION
Venue: N-17 (Moot Court)
Participants
Each student chapter can send a maximum of two (2) teams with a maximum of five (5)
members for each team. Team members must be registered participants in the Regional Civil
Engineering Students’ Summit 2020.
Registration fee of ₱850.00 shall be charged per team. Accomplish the entry form together with
the school ID of team members and proof of payment (copy of deposit slip) for the registration in
the competition and email it at lykalouise.torrado@gmail.com not later than 5:00 pm on March
21, 2020. Membership will be validated as soon as the registration form is received. Below are
the bank details for the payment.

Purpose of the Activity
This activity is a great tool to demonstrate the value of Planning and Teamwork, and
experiencing the importance of paying attention to work processes and team relationships, as
well as results.
Objective of the Activity
To build a free-standing tower using only the materials provided.
Ground Rules
Each team will have one (1) hour to plan and one (1) hour to build the tower. Each team is not
allowed to touch the materials during the one (1) hour of planning.
Awards and certificates for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd winning teams shall be given. Cash prizes to be
given to the winning teams: 1st – ₱5,000.00, 2nd – ₱3,000.00 and 3rd – ₱2,000.00, respectively.
