Lesson Topic: Spanish introduction-evolution of the second most spoken language in the world.
Learning outcome: Students will be able to identify the main features of the Castilian language and
how other cultures have influenced its evolution
Materials: Book of the computers room, CD with Spanish/Latin-American music, signs with Spanish
basic words (Bienvenidos, mapa, name of countries, etc.), bocadillos, Maps with historical
evolution of Spanish, tape, Muppets for theater presentation, map of Spain, worksheets for Spanish
variations, handout with interesting facts about Spanish.
