Statement of purpose
Introducing myself ,my name is Jyoti Neupane son of Ram kumar Neupane and Muna Neupane
permanent resident of kankai municipality ward no.3,Jhapa,Nepal.I was born on the 4th of November
2000 and my passport number is 11445697. Once you stop learning ,you stop dying Albert einsten ,if
one were to ask me to describe myself I would describe myself ,I would describe as very industrious and
enthusiastic learner.
Academic Background
Talking about my educational qualification ,I completed my slc (school leaving
certificate)from kankai secondary school ,lkankai municipality ward no 3 ,Jhapa and secured CGPA 3.60
in 2016 .After that I had joined same school and started my study In science stream .unfortunately,due
to Health issue I was unable to continue my +2 class in 2016 then ,I decided to join the course in 2017
and I did my high schooling from Siddhartha boarding secondary school in Jhapa in same stream .i
completed the program in the year 2019 with CGPA 3.08.
English proficiency skills.
As soon as I completed my higher secondary education I got engaged in ielts to prove my
ability to communicate easy and write more freely in English language .Then after I undertook my ielts
exam in 12th September 2019 and receive overall score 6 each band not less than 5.5.
Why Not Nepal
In context of Nepal ,colleges do not provide the latest version of courses and current industry
requirement with great research study I found that some of the educational provider such as Nepal
college of it ,KIT ,softwarica college of IT etc do not provide the latest courses and the courses available
here are not capable and they are not designed in accordance to meet the industry demands .besides
these all Nepal is fully based on theoretical education rather than practical education .Mostb of the
college provides superficial knowledge to the students .As far as I know many important and latest
courses curriculum required for higher education are not taught at all .they deliver the courses in
traditional way lacking practical education as per the current market demand to students.i got interest
in IT since from my childhood so,I want to achieve practical based education which can be identified
worldwide by all kind of IT companies .furthermore the degree of education achieved in Nepal do not
have all over recognition .Nowadays ,there is an increasing demands for information and technology
expert with international educational degreewho can handle work efficiently.Thus ,due to such reason I
decided to study abroad.
Why Not Other Country Besides New zealand
With my great research and study ,I have decided to study in
Newzealand for my higher studies ,There are plethora of reason ,that influenced me to choose
Newzealand instead of other countries too such as UK,Japan, Australia,USA,china,Germany and France
before selecting Newzealand but yhe tution fees,living expenses,weather and temperature,cultural
diversity of those countrymade unsatisfied .The colleges available in those countries are not stable for
longer period of time as compared to Newzealand .Thus ,considering all these factors Newzealand is the
best suitable destination for me to achieve good quality of education at affordable free structure .
Why New zealand
There were plethora of reason for choosing Newzealand as the destination for my
further studies ,one of the main reason is that because of it academic excellence world class
and globally recognized education ,with as many as 15 of its university ranked in top best
universities in the world .it sis only obvious that I would choose Newzealand to be my next
destination .It is well known that ,cost of education can be determining and challenging factor
in students receiving quqlity education for their betterment ,but the cost of study and live in
Newzealand is affordable in comparision to the other countries moreover ,international
students are allowed to work part time during their study period which only helps to gain
expirence to adjust with local people but also it will boost my language and communication
ability .In the same way ,the climate condition is similar to Nepal which helps me to adjust in
Newzealand.Safety and security of my rights as international students is the strong reason for
me to select Newzealand .further more ,Newzealand has special health insurance coverage for
international students that will cover any unexpected sickness or emergency care that might
occur in future ,so with those specific aspects outstanding reputation and high quality teaching
,I decided newzealand for my further studies.
Why NMIT
Selecting the right college is one of the most important decision for pereceiving career dreams
.i was in delima to choose where to study among many college in Newzealand.In Nelson ,there
are various colleges which provides my course in IT such as waimea college Richmond college
etc but the fees structure of those college are not reasonable.after spending tedious time and
effort on researching various college and the well qualified faculty mambers of each one,Icame
across NMIT college .The updated version of IT courses at NMIT college along with highly
recognized and authorized faculty members makes it one of the best college in the country .this
college has comfortable size classrooms with fully equipped and facilities which ensures that
every students gets the attention and all the needs of the students claim that is a hands on
teaching expirence where teachers actually want studentto understand concepts being taught
at (NMIT act nz 2020) talking about the fees structure of NMIT ,fees are reasonable as well as
affordable .Every international students should pay 18900 per year along with 240 as student
services levy fee .Besides these all,I personally believe that with the knowledge and expirence
garnered from here can help me to tackle any obstacles related to the courses .This college
mainly focuses on the practical education and expirence through research and training
opportunities furthermore ,NMIT college has selected and designed the course syllabus and
units with wider study scope as per need and demand of business market .Thus,I made it’s a
excellence place to complete bachelor level study.
My course Details
My course is bachelor of information technology (level 7) which is conducted over
three year of full time study .This program focuses on the theoretical and practical
aspects of computer and their application in business and industry provides entry to
post graduate study .Moreover ,the NMIT bachelor of information technology is
accreated by ITprofessionals Newzealand .Turning towards the program it is of total 360
credits in which the first year consists of eight compulsory courses at level 5 .In years
two and three I will have to choose a major courses to complete one of the three majors
(information systems,system development or ict infrastructure )and some elective
courses to complete total of 120 credits .The fee structure of bachelor of
technology(level 7) I which I have to pay year is 18900 plus &240 student service levy
fee .this course will build my knowledge within the IT field and prepare me to join the
workforce in a range of IT related Jobs.
My Career Plans After Graduation
After the completion of my course in Newzealand I intend to
become a well skilled IT expert with international qualification and updated skills and
knowledge ,IT is regarded as one of the stable career thouhout the world.
In the long- run ,I will deport to my home country and plan to find entry level employment for
position like software developer,IT technician ,etc information and technology sectors in Nepal
such as verisk information technology pvt.ltd.,Deer walk services pvt.ltd.,Mercantile
communication pvt.ltd.,link tree and cloud factory .Furthermore I will also search for job option
in different government offices like various ministry Nepal Electricity Authority ,Nepal Telecom
etc ,with international qualification and updated skills .it automatically increases my demand in
Nepalese market .Talking about salary ,I would I will earn salary of around NPR 50000 Per
month in beginning and later on it may raise high as per my dedication and skills .Similarly
Information and technology is handled manually in different technical sectors in my home
country.so ,I want to improve it by introducing computerized technical methods in different
sectors ,which ultimately helps to perform regular IT functions ,IT research with the support of
IT software or application tools.Nowadays in this modern world cybercrime is one of the big
problem,mainly in my home country .The rate of such crimes are increasing day by day so,
inorder to prevent cyberattacks,I will play a vital role in designing software which helps in
minimizing such problems Besides these all I will provide direct support to user across the
organization .This can include helping set up hardware or software Moreover i will work to
moniter and manage computer hardware ,software and networks within an organization .As
Nepal being a nation undergoing rapid development in all sectors including IT ,there a lot of
opportunities for me to grow within industry .Finally if I get a chance to study in Newzealand
then I will be able to gain vast knowledge in the field of IT as per the latest needs and demand
and boost up my ability as well.
