Mr. P. Guru Prasad, Asst Professor, act as Resource Person for APHRDI
Andhra Pradesh Human Resource Development Institute,(APHRDI) conducted a 2 days Training Program
on “ Analyzing Global Trends for Good Governance”, from March 16th to March 17th, 2017 for Accounts officers, Treasury
officers and Jail wardens of Government of Andhra Pradesh for improving their working skills which is mandatory for
departmental promotions. The APHRDI has been playing a pivotal role in training the Government employees on various
topics. APHRDI is carved out of the prestigious Marri Chenna Reddy Human Resource Development Institution,
Hyderabad when AP was bifurcated into AP and Telangana.
Sri Dittakavi Chakrapani , IAS (Retd), Director General, The APHRDI presided over the inaugural sessions along with the
eminent scholars drawn from various prestigious institutions in Andhra Pradesh for this Training Program. [Link]
Koteswara Rao, Project Director, Department of Online Courses of Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur inaugurated
the program.
The Experts and Professors who attended as resource persons were from national ranking universities such as NALSAR
and Osmania University. Mr. P. Guru Prasad , [Link], S&H Department , VVIT attended as a resource person
for the above program on 16 & 17 March, 2017 to deliver lectures on the following topics.
1. Good Governance and Human Rights and future of Global Governance (16th, March, 2017 at 3.30pm)
2. Global Values & Conflict - Role of cultural diversity, universality & particularity (17th March 2017 at 2pm)
In the first session on 16th of March, 2017, he delivered a lecture on Good Governance and Human Rights and
Future of Global Governance. He discussed the topic with examples and collected from medieval period to current
governance practices. He quoted the UN directions and suggestions in designing the future of Global Governance.
In his second lecture on 17th of March, 2017, he spoke about the role of cultural diversity, and its applications
universally and how to manage the conflict arises from the cultural differences around the world with a power point
presentation. He also discussed the present situation in Indian context about global impact on culture and how to
understand other countires culture and customs with live examples.
Sri Dittakavi Chakrapani, IAS, and Director General of APHRDI appreciated Mr Guru Prasad’s efforts in delivering
lectures to the utmost satisfaction of participants and the holistic services rendered by VVIT management to student’s
community
