DLL Creative Writing Week 5

This document contains a daily lesson log for a 12th grade Creative Writing class from July 8-12, 2019. The objectives are for students to understand poetry as a genre and analyze its elements, and to produce a well-crafted poem. Each day focuses on a different element of poetry - forms and conventions, typography, genre-crossing texts, and innovative techniques. Lessons include presentations, discussions, examples, and exercises. Students write poems throughout the week, culminating in a poetry slam performance on Friday where their works will be evaluated. The teacher reflects on students' mastery, difficulties encountered, and effective teaching strategies.
