INTRODUCTION:
Teen age pregnancies among young adults are often unplanned and challenging for
the future life of mother and child. The increase of health problems for both mother and child
occur during teen pregnancy. Teen pregnancy impacts adolescent development in all aspects;
physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development. The negative consequences result from
teen age pregnancy like, low income, increased school drop-out rates, lower educational levels,
and increased rates of substance abuse. Teen age pregnancy will lead to risky behaviours that
increase the like hood of teen pregnancy. The primary risks are; poverty, low socioeconomic
status, limited maternal education. Every teen has a dream to graduate in high school and
college, but some teens are not willing to take the challenge some of these teens want to drop out
of high school and other teens want to keep furthering their education. For some students there
are obstacle that life throw at them to be able to accomplish their goals. Earning an education is
challenging enough. When there is a teen parents trying to finish their education it become more
difficult of them to attend classes than as a ordinary teens. In education there is a big impact on
teen parents for trying to accomplish their goals in schooling. There is interventions that shown
to address the issues related to teen pregnancy sexual behaviour such as reducing sexual partners,
reducing unprotected sexual intercourse and decreasing teen pregnancy. There is a teen outreach
program for healthy teen transition. It is an intervention program that some schools already
offered, after school programs and community settings. The outreach program of healthy teen
transition goal is to help teens build relationships with supportive adults, build interpersonal
skills and critical thinking. The effort of program, the adolescents will develop a positive view of
their future through various opportunities and experiences.
Teenage pregnancy will effect on students’ academic progression. There will be
association between teenage pregnancy and academic progression place evidence that education
should put height on sociality adhering to teenage pregnancy. Understanding teenage pregnancy
with UK context is adamant to the purpose of study. Thus the expectation that teenage pregnancy
will be reduced by proper academic programs, school based prevention ways towards teenage
pregnancy. The need to find out basis if such teenage pregnancy has positive effect on academic
progression, meaning towards a positive behavior of teenagers’ are having academic life.
Nowadays, we have been facing the most rampant issue, concerning today’s society,
which is called early or teenage pregnancy. As an individual, we are also concerning of this
certain issue so we want to make actions to create changes in the continuous growth in our
population, especially in our society by implementing this Early Pregnancy Awareness Seminar.
Early Pregnancy Awareness Seminar is a project with the motto to educate people, especially
teenagers for them to obtain knowledge and full understanding about early pregnancy. Our main
aim is to prove awareness and self-prevention of the consequences regarding early pregnancy
and to reduce the continuous growth of early pregnancy within our country.
Background if study
Here in the Philippines, we believe in the saying of our national hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal that
"Youth is the Hope of our Motherland". In their hand lies the future generation to follow.
But as we see from the situation nowadays, what we’re expecting from the youth is the
contrary if the saying. Teenagers are prone to pregnancy. Almost every year there is a rapid
increase on the number of pregnant youths. One if the major causes of this problem is that most
of the youths nowadays grew up in broken homes. Parents either the father or mother of the
youths chose to leave their children behind, because of the fact that they cannot handle anymore
their obligation as parents.

Teenage pregnancy has a direct implication on school dropout among girls and a
subsequent contributor to the disparities experienced in the education of both girls and boys.
Teenage pregnancy causes personal, family and societal problems. For example, when a teenage
girl gets pregnant, she suffers serious consequences. She also makes her family members to
suffer. The girl’s carelessness forces her family members to intervene so as to help her cope with
the pregnancy. This ends up overburdening her family members. Therefore, it is the role of the
person who impregnates the girl to cater for her financial and emotional needs so that she can be
