Wedding Reception Program
Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, friends and loved ones, welcome to
Jeffrey and Marissa’s Nuptial Wedding Reception. We are extremely delighted that you
all are here to celebrate this important milestone on our newlywed’s life.
Food will commence very soon, so we ask that everyone make their way to their
seats and make yourselves comfortable as we begin our celebration with an opening
prayer.
Heavenly Father,
Love has been your richest and greatest gift to this world.
Love which matures into marriage.
Today, we celebrate that love,
Lord, we thank You for the joy of this occasion.
For your presence here and at all times, we thank You.
Protect, guide and bless the newlywed and everyone present here
as well as the people we left at home.
Surround us with Your love now and always.
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Again, a very good afternoon to all of you. We are done with the solemn part of
the celebration and we thank those people who were with us earlier at the church for
the wedding ceremony. And for those who just joined in, welcome and grab a seat. And
so here we are for the most exciting part- the Wedding Reception of our newlyweds in
celebration of the beginning of their new life together.
Before anything else, we would like to acknowledge the key persons who took a
great part of this joyous affair. For without their support, this event would not be made
possible. Ladies and gentlemen, it is with great pleasure to introduce to you the parents
of the Bride and the Groom _______________________________________.
.And now, may we introduce you to the people who stood witness to the couple as they
took their vows: The Principal Sponsors;
And finally, may we request everyone to stand up as we introduce to the
newlyweds. Ladies and gentlemen, family and friends, may we present to you Mr.
Jeffrey and Marissa Ilao. Let’s give them a warm round of applause.
Adlib about a wedding thing…..
Today is indeed a special day and will forever be etched in the memory of our
beloved couple. For today is the beginning of their new life together. From this day
forward they shall be one, and in this joyful beginning what could be more fitting than
to celebrate it with their first dance. THE FIRST DANCE is symbolic of the
consummation of their wedding vows. This dance is the wedding couple’s first
cooperative engagement and joint endeavor. As the saying goes, “It takes two to
tango.” Ladies and gentlemen once again, it is my privilege to present to you Mr. and
Mrs. Ilao on their First Dance.
While the food is being prepared for all of us, we would like to proceed with
some speeches from the friends and relatives of the couple. These are the people who
literally saw the romance that sprang on the hearts of our newlyweds that blossomed
into a serious relationship. May we call on
________________________________________ (1 boy/ 1 girl) to share with all of us
what they know about the couple.
Alright! Dinner is served ladies and gentlemen. You are all hereby invited to
partake dinner. You may now get your food at the buffet table. Please enjoy your meal.
And as always, “ladies first.”
A celebration is never complete without a TOAST AND A BOTTLE OF GOOD
WINE. Let us now prepare our FIRST TOAST to the newlyweds. May we call on Mr.

We will now resume with our program and it’s time for desert. We have here a
beautiful wedding cake. May we request the newlywed to prepare for the cake cutting
ceremony. The cake, which has been part of a wedding celebration since the Roman
times, is a symbol of good luck and fertility. The sharing of this food symbolizes the
couple’s willingness to fulfill each other’s needs, creating a bond so simple yet so
strong.

We will now proceed with some of the most awaited part of this ceremony. The
next tradition is for single ladies only. May we request all the single ladies to step
forward for the BOQUET THROW. Well, our lovely bride has been practicing this
throw for quite some time lately. So ladies, give yourselves some elbow room. That’s it
I see some determined faces there. So ladies, take your place behind the bride. Well
fortune favors the brave one! At the count of three, the bride will throw the bouquet.
Let’s all count together, in ONE, TWO, And THREE!
Now let’s proceed with the GARTER THROW. Congratulations!
There you have it ladies and gentlemen. Our new lovely pair! We hope to be
here on the next wedding ceremony.
GIVING OF TOKENS
The day and this celebration are almost come to an end but for our newlyweds it
is just the start of their new life together. And to personally convey their heartfelt
gratitude, let us now lend our ears to Mr. and Mrs Castinno.
(Speech of the newlywed)
Well I guess that’s about everything ladies and gentlemen we have finally come
to the end of our program. It has been a great day and a wonderful evening with you
all. Again thank you all for your presence. We hope that you had a great time.
