Course Title: COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING I (INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY)
Course No.: NCM 104
Course Description: This course deals with concepts, principles, theories and
techniques in the provision of basic care in terms of health promotion, disease
prevention, restoration and maintenance and rehabilitation at the individual and family
level. It includes the study of the Philippine Health care Delivery System, National
Health Situation and the global context of public health. The learners are expected to
provide safe, appropriate and holistic nursing care to individuals and family as clients in
community setting utilizing the nursing process.
Course Credit: 2 units (36 hours)
RLE: Skills lab. – 1 unit (51hours) Clinical-1 (51 hours)
Pre-requisites: NCM 101, NCM 102, NCM 103
Course Objective: At the end of course, the student will be able to:
