A NEW PROGRAMMING TOOL FROM ALERTON
SETTING UP CONTROLLERS ACROSS A CAMPUS OR FACILITY IS NOW AN EASIER TASK WITH
THE LAUNCH OF VISUALLOGIC AX.
VisualLogic AX is a programming tool that can be installed and licensed to run in an Alerton Control Module (ACM),
Niagara AX JACE, or on a Niagara AX-Supervisor. Utilizing visual flowchart tools, simple drag-and-drop menus, and clear
task incorporation menus, any Alerton controller can be fully programmed using Alerton’s VisualLogic DDC programming
functions within the Niagara wiresheet programming editor.
ALERTON CONTROLLERS THAT CAN BE PROGRAMMED USING VISUALLOGIC AX TOOL INCLUDE:
• All unitary field controllers, e.g. VLCs, VAVs,
and VLD-362/362W
• VLCA-1688
• ACM (all variants: GC, VLX, Modbus, and TUX)
• BCM-ETH, BCM-MSTP, BCM-TUX, BCM-
FPCS, and BCM-HOTEL
• VLX and VLX Platinum
ALERTON DDC FILE FORMATS ARE SUPPORTED:
• BD3 (Global Controller DDC)
• BD4 (VLC DDC)
• BD6 (VLCA DDC)

HOW VISUALLOGIC AX MAKES PROGRAMMING EASIER
DRAG-AND-DROP FUNCTIONALITY
A programming blocks palette contains all of Alerton’s iconic
VisualLogic functions. Simply drag-and-drop the functions onto the
wiresheet page and define the parameters – much the same as you
would when using Alerton’s VisualLogic programming tool.
Function blocks in the wiresheet editor have Alerton’s VisualLogic DDC
function icon – making it easy to quickly recognize and differentiate the
function blocks from one another.
ACTION PROGRAMMING FOR DDC
The VisualLogic AX tool allows different tasks to easily be implemented
from within the Niagara wiresheet editor when creating or editing DDC,
including:
• Set Program Type
• Read from Controller
• Read from File
• Write to File
• Write to Controller
• Send DDC to Controller from File
DEVICE MANAGEMENT FOR ALERTON CONTROLLERS
The VisualLogic AX tool enables facility engineers and programmers to
manage Alerton controllers from within the Niagara wiresheet editor,
such as:
• Set Device Instance
• Send ROC File
