General Notes:

1. All fresh PILs shall be listed before the Bench presided over by the Chief Justice.

2. Mentioning of urgent matters will be before DB-I.

3. Matters other than part-heard, presently pending before various Benches shall stand
transferred to the respective Benches as per the above roster.

4. Regular/final hearing matters would be listed chronologically so that old matters can be
given priority in disposal.


 
5. Specially directed matters may be assigned by the Chief Justice to any of the above Benches
or any of the Hon’ble Judges sitting singly or to specially constituted Benches.

6. Fresh Writ Petitions challenging the constitutional validity of any Act, Statutory Rule,
Regulation or Notification other than tax (including Municipal tax) and Service matters
shall be marked by the Chief Justice.

7. Fresh and pending matters relating to street vendors/Tehbazari shall be listed before the
DB presided over by Hon’ble Mr. Justice G. S. Sistani.

8. Fresh Criminal Appeals; Death Sentence References; Criminal Leave Petitions; Criminal
Contempt Petitions and Criminal Contempt References shall, as far as practicable, be
equally distributed between DB-VI and DB-VIII.

9. Fresh Criminal Writ Petitions relating to Habeas Corpus and Preventive Detention shall, as
far as practicable, be equally distributed between DB-VI and DB-VIII.

10. ‘Commercial Appellate Division’ has been constituted with four Division Benches, namely,
DB-I, DB-II, DB-III and DB-IV. The Hon’ble Judges who are members of the said four
Division Benches, as per the present roster, have been nominated to be the Judges of the
‘Commercial Appellate Division’.

11. Matters to be heard by the Commercial Appellate Divisions may be assigned by the Chief
Justice amongst the four Commercial Appellate Divisions.

12. ‘Commercial Division’ consists of seven benches of a Single Judge each. Hon’ble Mr. Justice
Manmohan, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw, Hon’ble Mr. Justice J. R. Midha,
Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rajiv Shakdher, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Jayant Nath, Hon’ble Ms. Justice
Prathiba M. Singh and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Navin Chawla have been nominated to be the
Judges of the ‘Commercial Division’. Hon’ble Mr. Justice Valmiki J. Mehta has also been
nominated to be the Judge of the Commercial Division in respect of matters under Sections
9, 11 and 34 of the Arbitration Act,1940 and Arbitration and Conciliation Act,1996 of the
year 2018.

13. In the event of change in the judges nominated by the Chief Justice constituting the
Commercial Division and Commercial Appellate Division, part heard matters shall stand
transferred to the respective courts which will have power of Commercial Division and
Commercial Appellate Division limited to that case only.

14. Hon’ble Judge-in-Charge, Original Side will distribute fresh Arbitration Matters including
Commercials Matters and Execution Petitions under the Arbitration Act, 1940 and the
Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 between ‘B’ & ‘G’ Court and the court of Hon’ble
Mr. Justice Valmiki J. Mehta.

15. Hon’ble Judge-in-Charge, Original Side will mark matters other than Arbitration Matters,
including Commercial Matters, to ‘A’, ‘C’, ‘D’, ‘E’ & ‘F’ Courts.

16. Fresh Bail Applications shall be equally distributed amongst all Single Bench Judges sitting
on the Criminal Roster.

17. Fresh Criminal Leave Petitions shall be equally distributed between Hon’ble Ms. Justice
Mukta Gupta and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Najmi Waziri.

18. Fresh Criminal Appeals shall be equally distributed amongst Hon’ble Mr. Justice A.K.
Pathak, Hon’ble Ms. Justice Mukta Gupta, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Najmi Waziri, Hon’ble Mr.
Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva, Hon’ble Mr. Justice R. K. Gauba, Hon’ble Mr.Justice Chander
Shekhar and Hon’ble Ms.Rekha Palli..

19. Fresh Criminal Writ Petitions shall be equally distributed amongst Hon’ble Ms. Justice
Mukta Gupta and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Najmi Waziri.


 
20. Fresh Criminal Revision Petitions shall be equally distributed amongst Hon’ble Mr. Justice
A.K. Pathak, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Chander Shekhar
and Hon’ble Ms.Justice Rekha Palli.

21. Fresh Criminal Misc. Main Cases shall be equally distributed amongst Hon’ble Mr. Justice
A.K. Pathak, Hon’ble Mr. Justice R.K.Gauba, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Chander Shekhar and
Hon’ble Ms.Justice Rekha Palli.

22. Fresh cases relating to sexual harassment shall be distributed category wise according to
roster.

23. Jail appeals which are pending for more than 5 years shall be taken up on priority basis by
the courts dealing with Criminal Appeals and every endeavour should be made to dispose
of the same by 31.12.2018.

24. Crl. Misc. Main cases of the year 2018 which were previously on the board of Hon’ble Mr.
Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva will be transferred to the board of Hon’ble Ms. Justice Rekha Palli.

25. Criminal Revision Petitions of the year 2018 which were previously on the board of
Hon’ble Mr. Justice Najmi Waziri will be transferred to the board of Hon’ble Mr. Justice
Chander Shekhar.

26. The entire board of DB-V presided over by Hon’ble Dr. Justice Muralidhar shall stand
transferred to DB-VI presided over by Hon’ble Ms.Justice Hima Kohli except Criminal Writ
Petitions relating to Habeas Corpus and Preventive Detention.

27. The entire board of DB-VII presided over by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Vipin Sanghi shall stand
transferred to DB-VIII presided over by Hon’ble Mr.Justice Siddharth Mridul except
Criminal Writ Petitions relating to Habeas Corpus and Preventive Detention.

28. Criminal Writ Petitions relating to Habeas Corpus and Preventive Detention previously
pending on the board of DB-V presided over by Hon’ble Dr. Justice Muralidhar shall stand
transferred to DB-VIII presided over by Hon’ble Mr.Justice Siddharth Mridul.

29. Criminal Writ Petitions relating to Habeas Corpus and Preventive Detention previously
pending on the board of DB-VII presided over by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Vipin Sanghi shall
stand transferred to DB-VI presided over by Hon’ble Ms. Justice Hima Kohli.
