             Hi! My n a m e ' s Sonia and I live on an island on
Dal Lake, Kashmir, India. I'm tall and slim with
             dark hair and green e y e s . Every morning I put
on my school uniform - a blue dress and a white
headscarf. Then I have breakfast and wait for my
brother - he can never find his school uniform
(black trousers and a blue shirt). He's short with
             dark hair and brown e y e s .
We are lucky because in my village many people
             don't go to school. We don't go to school by b u s ,
we go by boat! I usually row, while my brother
             does his homework!
            At school, we don't have chairs or d e s k s - we sit
on the floor. We study subjects like Maths, Science
and Languages. I haven't got a computer at home,
but I love playing computer g a m e s at school. And we are doing a project on how to
            keep the lake clean. S o m e t i m e s we have school boat races - it's fun!
At the end of the day we row home and play g a m e s . My brother often goes fishing,
but I like playing cricket. When I grow up I want to be a doctor.

You probably know about Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin - the
first men on the Moon. They landed there in the spacecraft
Apollo 11 on July 20,1969. 600 million people watched them!
But did you know that other Apollo missions went to the Moon?
In fact, Apollo 13 was nearly a disaster.
                                                                                         \ г -•
Apollo 13 left Florida, USA on April 11,1970. It had two parts -
the Command Module and the Lunar Module. There were three * V
astronauts - Jim Lovell, Fred Haise and Jack Swigert. One man,
Ken Mattingly, didn't go because he was ill.
After two days, on April 13, there was an explosion. It damaged
the Command Module. The astronauts were in danger. They told
Mission Control, 'We have a problem here.' There was only enough
air for 15 minutes! So they moved to the Lunar Module.
In the Lunar Module there wasn't much power, food, water or air.
They couldn't breathe, because the air was bad. But they repaired
the oxygen container with a plastic bag and a sock! They could
  breathe again.
Now they had one big problem. They were 321,800 kilometres
from Earth and they didn't have enough power to get back.
Mission Control decided to send the astronauts towards the
Moon. Then gravity could pull the spacecraft back to Earth
  without power.
It was a race against time. Back on Earth Ken Mattingly saved his ,4r •• - ц. Щ а ш

Uncountable nouns don't have plural forms because we can't count them: food, money
We use some with plural countable nouns and with uncountable nouns to talk about quantity:
     some sweets, some ice cream
We use some in positive sentences and we use any in negative sentences and questions:
I've got some photos. There aren't any games. Is there any information?
