OVER BLACK

The sound of HURRYING FOOTSTEPS under a NERVOUS BREATH, fast

paced. Then -

EXT. ALLEYWAY - NIGHT

A BALD MAN runs like hell, almost stumbling in the trash

along his way. We do not see his face yet.

EXT. METROPOLIS STREETS - NIGHT

After leaving the alley, the stranger stops in the middle of

the street contemplating his surroundings.

CAMERA PANS 360 FROM the man revealing the city COLLAPSING
INTO HELL - buildings in flames and wrecked, smoke towers
rising to the skies, rubble everywhere, crackling clouds.

It is as if the apocalypse had come to Earth.

Back to the man showing his face: LEX LUTHOR. Gasping. But
there is no time for rest now. As he turns to run again...

... he FREEZES seeing something OFF CAMERA.

LUTHOR’S POV: On top of one of the buildings, FOUR DARK

FIGURES stand on the edge.

Luthor turns around, changing his route, but he finds more

THREE FIGURES on his way. They are SILHOUETTED against fire
light.

Luthor steps back. As he thinks about what to do - BLAM! -

the four individuals in the building LAND on the street
behind him. They are super beings.

The other three come to Luthor and force him to kneel - we do

not see their faces yet. No choices, Lex does and waits.

The four figures approach. Luthor remains head down,

defeated. When the four stop before Luthor, he tilts his head
at them:

SUPERMAN, WONDER WOMAN, GREEN LANTERN and J’ONN J’ONZZ - but

this time without that heroic aura around them, only fear
now. And behind Luthor are BATMAN, THE FLASH and AQUAMAN.

Yeah, it’s the JUSTICE LEAGUE.

No talk. Luthor already accepted his fate. The heroes we know

now act as the worst villains.
 2.

Superman takes a step forward and hauls Luthor by the collar

to his feet.

The arch-enemies face each other. Then Superman’s eyes GLOW

RED - and increase gradually. Luthor closes his eyes, he
knows what is coming.

As Superman FIRES HIS HEAT VISION into Luthor’s face, we -

SMASH CUT TO:

INT. LUTHOR’S BEDROOM - NIGHT

Luthor sudden WAKES UP. Sweaty and panting. It was all a

dream, but it affected him a lot. He grabs his face, is not
the first time that happens.

He picks up his cell phone on the bedside table and dials a

quick number.

LUTHOR
You were right. The dreams came
back, stronger this time.
(beat)
Okay, I’m in. What’s the plan?

Sitting on the bed, Luthor hears the voice on the other end
of the line.

CUT TO BLACK.

TITLE: JUSTICE LEAGUE - WAR

FADE UP TO:

EXT. BERLIN - NIGHT

An AIRBORNE view of the city.

LEGEND: “BERLIN, GERMANY”

EXT. CONSTRUCTION SITE - NIGHT

Completely deserted. A building under construction stands out

in the background. It seems to be a ghost place, but...

... A WORKER races into frame, clearly scared.

He glances back constantly as if he were being chased.

EXT. BUILDING ROOFTOP - NIGHT

In a building in front of the construction site, a hooded

figure appears on the edge: BATMAN.

He eyes the worker running below.

BATMAN
(into comm)
Here is Batman. I’m in pursuit of
one of them. Track my position and
come here.

Batman JUMPS off the building. His bat wings open making him
glide in the air.

EXT. CONSTRUCTION SITE - NIGHT

Still running, the worker looks back: no one. But a huge

SHADOW covers him and descends. As the worker realizes it...

... Batman LANDS his feet into the worker’s chest, knocking
him to the ground.

Before he can rise, Batman steps a foot on the worker’s chest

to keep him down. Then draws a FLARE STICK from his belt.

The Dark Knight IGNITES the flare, STARTLING the worker.

WORKER
No -- wait a minute, please!

Batman points the flame to the worker’s face. In a matter of

seconds, he MORPHS - skin, clothes, hair - everything changes
showing us that he’s a WHITE MARTIAN.

BATMAN
I confess it took me longer than
usual to find you, but I did it.
Now, I want you to tell me where
are the others you know.

The Martian gives a sarcastic smile. He was just acting.

WHITE MARTIAN
Do not you think I brought you
here for a ride, isn’t it?

Batman senses something behind him. As he whirls around...

... WHAM! Batman receives a surprise PUNCH right in his face

that sends him away.

Batman spits his own blood as he gets up. There, he comes

across THREE MORE WORKERS.

The TALLEST WORKER steps forward.

TALLEST WORKER
Look what we have for dinner,
guys.

The three new workers become White Martians too, and the
tallest one reveals to be an ALPHA WHITE MARTIAN - more
robust and strong than the others.

He CHARGES Batman like a wild animal, ready to hit him a

mortal blow. But before that...

... KA-BLAM! A BLUE AND RED BLUR LANDS between Alpha and
Batman, like a meteor. A FIGURE GRABS Alpha’s fist before hit
the Dark Knight: SUPERMAN.

The Alpha stares stunned. Superman WHACKS Alpha Martian in

the face so hard, he flies across the site through some walls
and rubble. Batman approaches Superman.

SUPERMAN
Sorry for the delay. Fire in
Thailand.

BATMAN
Let the story for later.

The other three White Martians look at each other somewhat

insecure, but decide to stay.

WHITE MARTIAN
Attack!

The three advance together. Superman DASHES forward, taking

two of them in mid-flight into the building under
construction.

The third one LASHES OUT at Batman, who DUCKS letting the
Martian hit a steel beam.

The Martian is ungainly in his moves, unlike the precise and

experienced Batman, who hits him several times on the face
and the ribs.

But in an oversight, the White Martian grips Batman’s heel

and throws him into some barrels.

As Batman recomposes himself, the White Martian LEAPS toward

him for an ultimate attack. Batman rolls away as the Martian
SMASHES his fist where Batman stood.

Batman stands and draws from his belt BRASS KNUCKLES with
tiny spikes around it. The Martian looks at that and makes
his CLAWS GROW UP.

Off Batman’s look:

INT. BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION - NIGHT

Following Superman as he ROCKETS through every wall in his

path, carrying that two White Martians in each hand.

Then he STOPS, hurling one Martian against a girder. The

other one, Superman SLAMS him down.

Superman notes a PILE OF REBAR nearby. He picks up one and

WRAPS the White Martian’s torso with it, he does again with
his feet leaving the alien stuck.

SUPERMAN
Stay here. I’ll be back for you.

The Man of Steel walks toward the other White Martian. But
along the way -

- a COUPLE OF HANDS burst out the ground and grab Superman’s

legs. He’s LUGGED through the floor and down to the -

NEXT LOWER LEVEL

- by the Alpha White Martian. While Superman lies on the

ground, the Martian kicks him sending him onto a pillar.

ALPHA WHITE MARTIAN

You know, I wondered several times
when this day would come. What
would I do at the time. Before, I
thought about running away again,
now I know I can kill you.

SUPERMAN
No, you will not kill me, nor
anyone else in this world.

ALPHA WHITE MARTIAN

Really? So you should not have
come with a disadvantage.

SUPERMAN
(smiling)
I didn’t.

Off Alpha’s puzzled look, Superman bends down as...

... WONDER WOMAN BULLETS past over him and PUNCHES the Alpha
White Martian hard enough to make him cross the entire floor.

The Amazon Princess turns to Superman:

WONDER WOMAN
Feeling tired, Kal?

SUPERMAN
I was caught off guard. There are
two more upstairs, you want to
take care of the big one for now?

WONDER WOMAN
If you insist.

They nod. Superman flies upstairs while Wonder Woman moves

after the Alpha.

EXT. CONSTRUCTION SITE - NIGHT

Back at the duel: the White Martian catches Batman by the

throat and slams him on a girder, CHOKING the hero.

Breathlessly, Batman gunslingers his GRAPPLING HOOK and

fires. The White Martian swerves his head as the wired hook
rockets past the alien and into a wall.

WHITE MARTIAN
You missed.

The cable of the gun starts to RETRACT.

BATMAN
Think again.

The hook returns, ripping off a chunk of wall that smacks the
back of the White Martian’s head, shattering into pieces.

Both drop to the ground. Batman pauses for a moment to catch

his breath as the Martian recovers after that blow.

Furious, the White Martian prepares to slice Batman with his

sharp claws. But before he could do something...

... GREENISH HANDS comes from behind grabbing his head.

In the next second, the White Martian sudden CRIES OUT as if

he felt something in his mind.

After a few seconds of agony, the White Martian collapses

UNCONSCIOUS to the ground revealing the man behind him:
J’ONN, THE MARTIAN MANHUNTER.

J’ONN
White Martians always like to
speak beyond what they should.

BATMAN
I had everything under control.

J’ONN
I’m not so sure about that.

A BOOM catches their ears - Wonder Woman and the Alpha White
Martian BLAST out the building and CRASH-LAND on the ground.

BATMAN
Let’s go. The job is not done yet.

ON WONDER WOMAN AND THE ALPHA MARTIAN -

 7.

He lifts her by the hair. Before she could react, the White
Martian HURLS Wonder Woman into a tractor, tipping it over.

The Alpha White Martian turns around to Batman and J’onn

coming for him. His eyes begin to SHINE red, about to fire
his laser, but...

... Superman LUNGES into frame hitting the Alpha Martian’s

face JUST AS he shoots his eye-lasers, which PLOW UP through
the earth missing Batman and J’onn.

The Man of Steel takes distance, and with his SUPER BREATH,
he FREEZES both Alpha Martian’s feet to the ground.

Superman flies toward the Martian to immobilize him, but the

Alpha SWATS him aside in mid-flight.

Before the alien could get rid of the ice, Wonder Woman’s
LASSO ties around his body. In the distance, the Amazon
warrior tightens it keeping his arms down.

It’s J’onn’s chance. He runs up to the Alpha White Martian

and touches his head with his own hands, concentrated.

ALPHA WHITE MARTIAN

No! You bastard green! You should
be dead along with your entire
race --

Alpha interrupts himself with painful screams. J’onn

continues to do his work while the White Martian squirms, but
Wonder Woman retains him there with her lasso.

Seconds later, the Alpha White Martian finally faints down.

The Justice League surrounds that motionless body.

WONDER WOMAN
This your mind trick lasts a long
time, J’onn?

J’ONN
Enough to not worry us.

SUPERMAN
There are two of them passed out
in the building. Let’s take them
to the Fortress and put with the
others.
(to Batman)
Thank you for agreeing to help us
find them.

BATMAN
No need to thank. It’s our job.

Batman turns and starts to walk away.

J’ONN
Do not you want to return with us?

BATMAN
You already know the answer.

SUPERMAN
He never changes.

They watch Batman going alone, with one hand on his ribs
still feeling the pain of fighting.

CUT TO:

A TV MONITOR.

A talk show program. G. GORDON GODFREY - the exalted host -

talks into the camera.

GODFREY
Finally, the time has come that we
expected, ladies and gentlemen.
Our guest today is more than
special. During the day he saves
the innocent and at the night...
well, maybe he can reveal to us.
Welcome, the Plastic Man!

PLASTIC MAN enters in the show. The crowd goes crazy, as if

he were a pop star, and he takes advantage of that.

The hero makes several performances using his elastic powers.

He and the host shake hands and sit in their respective

seats. Palms and scandalous shouts take a while to cease.

PLASTIC MAN
Calm down, girls, have a bit of me
for everyone.

GODFREY
You make a lot of success with the
public, Mr. Plastic Man.

PLASTIC MAN
Maybe it’s my enviable beauty.

Then he MORPHS HIS FACE with his elasticity to become ANOTHER

FACE quite different - a typical look of a handsome model.

Godfrey gives a forced smile, as if struggling to put up with

that man, while the audience laughs and claps.

Plastic Man’s face back to normal.

GODFREY
Amazing. But we invite you here to
discuss some controversial too, if
you don’t mind.

PLASTIC MAN
Oh, I love controversy. I have
some interesting information about
Batman would love to share.

More laughs.

GODFREY
The Justice League has become the
most beloved group in the world,
practically. But there are still
those who think that the League is
being too arrogant to invade
countries and engage in political
problems somewhat indelicate.

PLASTIC MAN
They are people of small minds,
Godfrey. Sometimes we need to
break some eggs to make an omelet,
and because of that the morgues
are vaguer since.

GODFREY
Well, but they care about
terrorists, super villains, but
sick people in hospitals, poor
villages in need of food, street
dwellers... are not getting the
same attention.

PLASTIC MAN
Unfortunately we can’t save
everyone, although we did that
expelling some aliens on Earth.

GODFREY
Good, but the discussion here
is...

Plastic Man gets up from his seat excited.

PLASTIC MAN
And who is not satisfied with our
work, you can come face me. I, the
Plastic Man, spokesman of the
Justice League.

He poses for the main camera as the claps erupt. Godfrey is

practically forgotten.

PULL BACK REVEALING that we are:

 10.

INT. OPS CENTER - HALL OF JUSTICE - DAY

The Justice League headquarters. We are in the brain of the

building.

The place is packed with ADVANCED SCIENTIFIC EQUIPMENT and

FLAT SCREEN DISPLAYS showing charts, news, information from
everywhere.

RAY PALMER - aka THE ATOM - works at his desk while watching
the Plastic Man interview on another monitor. And he’s not
satisfied.

RAY
I can’t believe in this.

Behind him, RED TORNADO walks up to the main console.

RAY (CONT'D)
He said “spokesman”, can you
believe that? Since when the
League accepted him in the team?

RED TORNADO
That is the problem. We didn’t.

RAY
Maybe we should ask for Batman
talk with him a while.

RED TORNADO
Certainly would be something
interesting to see.

EXT. HALL OF JUSTICE - DAY

THE JAVELIN - a high-tech aircraft with the Justice League

logo printed on its hull - ROARS toward the building.

The aircraft lands squarely on the rooftop landing site. The

site descends into the bowels of the building.

INT. OPS CENTER - HALL OF JUSTICE - DAY

When the platform lowers to the end, the Javelin’s back door
slides down. And from there come out...

... GREEN LANTERN, followed by GREEN ARROW and BLACK CANARY

after a successful mission.

GREEN ARROW
Make way! The king and queen are
going through.

The archer takes his wife on his lap and spins around while
kissing her.
 11.

GREEN LANTERN
Imagine having to take it
throughout the flight. It happens
whenever we finished a mission.

RED TORNADO
I’d rather not imagine, Mr.
Jordan.

GREEN LANTERN
How we are today, Tornado?

Red Tornado checks his monitors.

RED TORNADO
We had another report of a
possible group of White Martians
in Midway City. People close a
warehouse warned they heard a
strange movement in place, but the
Hawk Couple found nothing.

GREEN LANTERN
False alarm?

RED TORNADO
Possibly. There was a fire in
Chicago and a subway hijacking in
France. But Captain Marvel, Wonder
Woman and Zatanna have taken care
of that.

GREEN LANTERN
So just another quiet day at work.

BLACK CANARY
The showers returned to work? All
that dust was sticking to me.

GREEN ARROW
No matter, we are heroes, honey,
we solve problems.

They exchange smiles. Green Arrow carries his girl out the
room for the showers.

RAY
Love really has no place or time,
isn’t it?

GREEN LANTERN
Not with these two. News from
Arthur?

RAY
Still enjoying the “paternity
leave.”
 12.

GREEN LANTERN
Good.

Green Lantern strides toward the door, but:

RAY
Hey Hal...
(off look)
... will you ever thought about
it? Form a family... wife and
children. Pretending to have a
normal life.

Green Lantern thinks a moment about this.

GREEN LANTERN
In the old days, yes, Ray, but
nowadays... we are what we do and
will be until the end of our life.
(beat)
Indeed, it was like you said. It
would just be pretending.

RAY
Of course. Perhaps you are right.

Green Lantern heads off as Ray lets that words sink in.

EXT. OCEAN - DAY

A big cargo ship churns through the calm waters. As it sails

across the screen, CAMERA MOVES DOWN INTO THE SEA -

EXT. UNDERWATER - OCEAN - CONTINUOUS

- DIVING fast in the water, going deeper at high speed and

passing by many marine animals while the ambient light
decreases. Finally, arriving at...

... TWO ATLANTEAN GUARDS. Using a sturdy corals armor,

wielding a spear each and mounted in HUGE SEA-HORSES.

They patrol that area as usual. But during the journey back
to the kingdom, both spot an intense commotion of fishes
away.

ATLANTEAN GUARD #1
You see that?

ATLANTEAN GUARD #2
Yeah. Whatever it is, it’s
disturbing the animals.

ATLANTEAN GUARD #1
Let’s take a look.
 13.

The Atlantean Guard #2 nods. Both change course, heading

toward the strange problem at a distance.

As they move on, every marine animal around flees in the

opposite direction.

The guards notice those fishes swimming really FRIGHTENED.

Something quite unusual even for them.

Arriving at the heart of the problem, the guards look with

FEARED wide eyes something OFF CAMERA which we do not know
what it is.

Off the perplexed stare of them...

EXT. ATLANTIS - DAY

The great sunken city, glorious as always.

INT. ROYAL BEDCHAMBER - ATLANTIS - DAY

CLOSE ON MERA’S FACE: Eyes closed, sleeping sweetly on her

bed. We enjoy this view until she begins to wake up.

Mera sits up still sleepy, and notes that she’s alone in bed.
There are only messy sheets beside her.

The queen’s eyes are drawn by a not-so-distant voice from...

... AQUAMAN, standing on the balcony with his baby son ARTHUR
JR. in his arms. He speaks excited with the child, as if he
understood everything.

Mera stares at them with a smile in the face. Finally,

Aquaman notes she’s awake.

AQUAMAN
Look, Mom finally woke up.

He walks back into the room and kisses Mera.

MERA
What you guys are talking about?

AQUAMAN
I was showing his inheritance,
actually. And telling him to be a
good king.

MERA
Do you think that all people will
follow a king with one year old?

AQUAMAN
He is strong. He will be able to
gain respect from anyone.
 14.

Mera takes her son in arms.

AQUAMAN (CONT'D)
I just do not want he to forget
the surface world.

MERA
Hey, no need to worry so much,
okay? He has us to guide him.
Nothing will be forgotten.

AQUAMAN
Neither I nor this realm would be
nothing without you two.

Aquaman leans to kiss her again, but KNOCKS ON THE DOOR

interrupt the moment. Aquaman opens the door to find an army
MESSENGER.

AQUAMAN (CONT'D)
I hope it’s important enough to
interrupt my family moment.

MESSENGER
I apologize for the inconvenience,
sir, but I bring an emergency
warning two of our guards.

AQUAMAN
Tell me.

MESSENGER
During the patrol in the
boundaries of Atlantis, the men
found something... really big.

AQUAMAN
What exactly?

MESSENGER
That’s the problem, my king, they
don’t know. The only description
we heard was about a dome of
enormous size.

Aquaman pauses a moment and glances at Mera, who just nods at

him to proceed.

AQUAMAN
Call again the two men who found
the thing and wait for me at the
gate. I am on my way.

MESSENGER
Yes, my Lord.

The messenger leaves. Aquaman closes the door and heads for
his scale armor and trident.
 15.

AQUAMAN
(suiting up)
I’m sorry, darling. I promised you
I would be more father than king
when our son was born.

MERA
No need to apologize, you should
continue doing your work, attend
your people.

After finishing dressing, Aquaman takes the last piece: his

golden trident.

MERA (CONT'D)
But I demand you only one thing...
(off Aquaman’s stare)
... come back safe to us.

He touches Mera’s cheek tenderly.

AQUAMAN
I always come back to you two.

One last kiss and the King walks out.

EXT. GATES OF ATLANTIS - DAY

Those same two guards who find the thing stand at the gates
of the city, waiting.

Aquaman joins them.

AQUAMAN
It was you both who found the
thing in my domain?

ATLANTEAN GUARD #2
Yes, sir. We don’t know where it
came from or who put it there,
that just came up.

AQUAMAN
All right. Lead me there.

EXT. UNDERWATER - OCEAN - DAY

At top speed, the two guards mounted on their seahorses guide

Aquaman toward their find.

EXT. CLUSTER OF ROCKS ON A HILL - UNDERWATER - DAY

Later, Aquaman and the guards reach the edge of the hill. The
King takes a step forward, GAPED seeing something beyond.
 16.

ATLANTEAN GUARD #1
We did not know what to do and
decided we’d better warn you.

REVERSE ANGLE REVEALS to us what they see -

A MASSIVE, OMINOUS BLACK DOME ALMOST THE SIZE OF A TOWN LYING

ON THE SEABED.

Impossible to see anything inside. It’s like a black pearl in

colossal size.

ATLANTEAN GUARD #2
It’s almost the size of Atlantis
itself.

AQUAMAN
Let’s find out what it really is.

As they start to walk down the hill:

EXT. DOME - UNDERWATER - DAY

Around the dome, Aquaman and the two guards analyze the
enormous sphere. Its surface is smooth and polished.

AQUAMAN
Any sign of any entrance door?

ATLANTEAN GUARD #1
Nothing, sir.

AQUAMAN
This thing is emitting some kind
of interference that I cannot
contact the fishes.
(beat)
Let’s go back to Atlantis, reunite
more men and...

Suddenly, a DOOR automatically slides open in the dome

surface near them. The three men draw their weapons, wary.

Before entering, they look at that passage: it is a long,

dark corridor.

AQUAMAN (CONT'D)
Stay close to me.

Aquaman leads the way into the dome.

INT. NARROW CORRIDOR - DOME - DAY

Total darkness. The Atlanteans walk down blindly.

 17.

The door behind them SEALS. Aquaman gets on alert. Something

is not right. Then LIGHTS comes on.

AQUAMAN
Be ready!

With their weapons drawn, Aquaman and the guards wait the
enemy to come at any moment.

But some SLOTS in the corners of the corridor begin to DRAIN

all the water in there. It’s not long until the entire
hallway gets dry.

ATLANTEAN GUARD #2
What the hell...?

SUDDENLY -

- a low-frequency SONIC SHRIEK sounds in the corridor, hard

enough to make the three men fall on their knees clutching
their own ears.

Aquaman turns to his men and uses all his strength to speak:

AQUAMAN
Go back to the exit door!

But his words are in vain under that agony.

AQUAMAN (CONT'D)
(shouts)
Go back to --

ENERGY BLASTS hit both Atlantean guards off their feet,

dropping them DEAD on the floor.

As Aquaman turns around, to where the shots came, he takes a

surprise PUNCH right in the face that knocks him down.

Dazed on the ground, Aquaman turns his head to his attacker,

discovering BLACK MANTA, his deadliest enemy, flanked by two
THUGS.

AQUAMAN (CONT'D)
Manta...?

Black Manta kicks Aquaman’s chin, making him faint. He

presses a secret button on his belt and ceases the sonic
shriek.

Then Manta grips Aquaman’s ankle and starts to drag him.

INT. HALL OF DOOM - DAY

A wide space, like a government conference hall. The walls

are surrounded by windows where we can get a glimpse of
BUILDINGS outside like an ordinary city.
 18.

The heavy entrance doors split open. Black Manta walks in

trailing Aquaman, who is still unconscious.

At the center of the hall, Manta stops and drops the hero.
Then removes his helmet, revealing the face of DAVID.

DAVID
He tried to resist.

LUTHOR (O.S.)
You don’t say.

REVEAL -

- Luthor also in the room, gazing the landscape through the

windows while he waits Black Manta.

LUTHOR (CONT'D)
How are your nights sleep?

DAVID
I’m actually trying to sleep
lately. Sometimes I feel like my
brain will be broken apart.

LUTHOR
You and everyone else.

DAVID
So how long do we have? How long
until... until the end of the
world happen?

LUTHOR
Sincerely? I don’t know. All I
know is that the Justice League
does not have a good plan for
humanity, and it behooves us to
free the planet from them. All
depends on us.

DAVID
(re: Aquaman)
What about him?

LUTHOR
You do not need to worry. Choose a
seat...

WIDEN TO REVEAL where they are -

The classic HALL OF DOOM - with a semi-round counter where

the villains meet.

LUTHOR (CONT'D)
... we are the first to arrive.
 19.

EXT. MOVING OVER GOTHAM - NIGHT

LEGEND: “GOTHAM CITY”

From the top of a brick building a SHAFT OF LIGHT comes on.

EXT. ROOF - POLICE STATION - NIGHT

COMMISSIONER GORDON enjoys the view of the city at the roof

edge. For a moment he forgets all the chaos and danger lurk
down there.

Behind him: THE BAT SIGNAL switched on.

Then:

BATMAN (O.S.)
Commissioner.

Gordon whirls around to Batman, coming out the shadows.

GORDON
Honestly, I thought it would be

comes to Gotham.

Gordon grabs an envelope from his coat and hands it to

Batman.

GORDON (CONT'D)
Check this out and tell me what
you think.

Batman removes some files from the envelope and flips through
them. All show reports and criminal records.

BATMAN
Crane, Poison Ivy, Nigma... all
escaped from Arkham on the same
day.
(beat)
Joker?

GORDON
I think he did not get involved
this time around. But it’s the
others that make me worried.

BATMAN
How they did it?

GORDON
That’s what I expected you to
answer. In a moment they were all
lying in their beds, and in the
next, they were all gone.

Batman thinks a second.

GORDON (CONT'D)
What do you think?

BATMAN
(hands the envelope back)
It’s too early to get conclusions.

GORDON
Whatever these three are planning
will not be good.

BATMAN
I know, so I will be
investigating. I keep you
informed.

The Dark Knight vanishes in the shadows.

INT. BATCAVE - NIGHT

In the COMMAND CENTER of the cave...

... BRUCE WAYNE - no cowl but with the suit - investigates

all cases of escaped prisoners on his computer.

ON THE MONITORS: FOOTAGE from Arkham Asylum’s SURVEILLANCE

CAMERAS. Three screens switch to the camera inside the cell
of Edward Nigma, Poison Ivy and Jonathan Crane. All resting
on their beds.

Wayne watches it intently. Then he fast forwards the footage.

ON THE MONITORS: Nothing unusual in the cells, until - STATIC

in all three screens. When back to normal, the three
prisoners are gone.

Wayne leans on his chair. No idea where the prisoners can be.
ALFRED comes in with Batman’s cape in hands and puts it at
the next table.

ALFRED
I sewed the latest bullet holes,
sir. But if you want advice, it’s
better to exchange a new one.

WAYNE
Three villains. All escape the
same day at different times
without leaving any trace. What it
should mean...?

Alfred stands beside Wayne.

ALFRED
Scarecrow, Poison Ivy and the
Riddler. If I remember correctly,
these three never got along very
well.

WAYNE
Maybe I’m looking at the wrong
point. Maybe there’s someone else
in this equation that we don’t
know.

ALFRED
Or maybe a rest will do better see
what we do not see now, sir. It’s
been three days since I’ve seen
you sleep properly.

This time there is no escape to Wayne. Alfred is right and he

doesn’t deny it.

WAYNE
Okay Alfred, you won.

Wayne gets up from his chair. He and Alfred begin to walk

away. But AT THAT MOMENT -

- the computer sounds a WARNING ALERT. Wayne halts.

COMPUTER VOICE
Warning. Primary computer systems
violated.

Quickly, Wayne runs back to his computer to find out what’s

going on there. He frantically types on the keyboard.

ALFRED
Master Bruce...?

WAYNE
Someone is trying to hack into my
system.

ALFRED
There is nothing you can do?

WAYNE
Maybe trace the source of the
problem.

Moments later, one monitor shows images from the surveillance

camera of the WAYNE ENTERPRISES, where THE RIDDLER is with
his men.

WAYNE (CONT'D)
Nigma.

COMPUTER VOICE
Alert. Corrupted files. Broken
encryption.

WAYNE
Damnit! Activate self-destruct
system. Erase all data.

But “ERROR” flashes in the screens. Wayne begins to think of

an alternative solution, and only one thing comes into his
mind.

He picks it up his chair and SMASHES the computer with it.

Sparks and metal shards fly.

The monitors flicker and finally, shut off.

BEAT.

WAYNE (CONT'D)
Alfred... replace the main
components for the backup
computer. I have to go.

ALFRED
Where to, sir?

Without answering, Wayne takes his cape on the table and

steps down the stairway, exuding fury.

INT. CLARK KENT’S APARTMENT - NIGHT

CLARK KENT enters in his simple and humble residence. He

turns on the lights and locks the door.

As he takes off his work clothes, Red Tornado sounds over his
comm:

RED TORNADO (V.O.)

Here is Red Tornado, Superman.

CLARK
I’m listening. News about Aquaman?

RED TORNADO (V.O.)

Mera contacted me again. No sign
of him so far. Since it’s been
eight hours since his
disappearance.

CLARK
Have you tried to track his
signal?

RED TORNADO (V.O.)

Yes, twice. And in both cases I
got “lost signal”.

CLARK
All right, let’s act. I’ll call
Green Lantern to help me in the
search. Contact J’onn too, he will
be useful.

RED TORNADO (V.O.)

Understood.

The conversation ends, Clark heads for his closet. He opens

it revealing the Superman suit.

INT. SERVERS ROOM - WAYNE ENTERPRISES - NIGHT

The Riddler and his armed thugs wait the HACKER finish his
job on the computer.

Riddler constantly checks his watch, as if expecting

something.

RIDDLER
He should already be on the way.

Seconds later, the hacker pulls the PEN DRIVE from one of the
server machines and hands it to the Riddler.

HACKER
I think we have all here, sir.

RIDDLER
Excellent. Soon we will have the
biggest riddle of all revealed.

INT. HALLWAY - WAYNE ENTERPRISES - NIGHT

Riddler and his gang exit the servers room and walk toward
the elevator, past some stunned security guards on the floor.

INT. UNDERGROUND PARKING LOT - WAYNE ENTERPRISES - NIGHT

As the elevator door opens, Riddler and his men move for an
UNMARKED VAN.

RIDDLER
Hurry, they want the files as soon
as possible.

They get into the vehicle and pull away.

EXT. GOTHAM STREETS - NIGHT

At high speed, Riddler’s van zigzags through the traffic.

INT. RIDDLER’S VAN - NIGHT

In the back compartment, Riddler plugs the pen drive into a

LAPTOP. He’s excited.

RIDDLER
How could I not have thought of
this before? Find the richest man
in the world and use his computer
to invade Batman’s.

ON THE LAPTOP: A window appears on the screen - “uploading

data...”

EXT. GOTHAM STREETS - NIGHT

As the van makes its way, the BATMOBILE ROARS from an

alley...

... skidding on the street, causing several civilian cars to

barely swerve from that monster on wheels.

The Batmobile now pursuits Riddler’s van.

INT. RIDDLER’S VAN - NIGHT

Seeing the Batmobile right on their tail, the thugs get

nervous.

THUG #1
What are we going to do now? What
will we do?! He is right behind
us!

THUG #2
You have seen the size of that
thing, he’ll speed up over all of
us!

RIDDLER
Silence! I just need a little more
time.

ON THE LAPTOP: The upload bar is almost over.

Riddler removes something from his coat - A SYRINGE. With a

clear liquid inside it.

INT. BATMOBILE - NIGHT

While Batman drives, Red Tornado displays on the Batmobile

panel SCREEN.

RED TORNADO
(on screen)
Batman, we’re still without
information about Arthur’s
whereabouts.

BATMAN
What Mera has to say?

RED TORNADO
(on screen)
Arthur is gone before, but that
does not make things any easier. I
supposed that your collaboration
would be of great effectiveness.

BATMAN
Arthur is my friend and I will do
everything to find him, but not
now. Meanwhile, call Superman.

RED TORNADO
(on screen)
I’ve done this.

EXT. OUTER SPACE - NIGHT

In the distance, Earth. Superman hovers in the solitude of

space, as a silent guardian.

He is focused, eyes closed as we hear:

RED TORNADO (V.O.)

He is right now trying to hear
some Aquaman signal all over the
globe.

INT. BATMOBILE - NIGHT

Batman keeps listening.

RED TORNADO
(on screen)
Green Lantern and J’onn were also
called.

BATMAN
Listen, Tornado: The Riddler
somehow managed to hack the
information from my computer.
(MORE)

BATMAN (CONT'D)
And until I get him, this will be
my priority.

RED TORNADO
(on screen)
But Aquaman is a founding member
of the Justice League and --

BATMAN
(cutting in)
On my computer there is crucial
information about the members of
the League and the Hall of
Justice. If the Riddler able to
share it with someone else, there
will be no more Justice League!

Before Tornado Red can respond, Batman cuts off the

communication. He turns his attention to the pursuit.

BATMAN (CONT'D)
Time to end this.

Batman presses a button on the steering wheel. At the same

time, the Batmobile fires a HOOK toward the van.

INT. RIDDLER’S VAN - NIGHT

CLANK! The Batmobile’s hook STABS THROUGH the van doors

abruptly and gets stuck.

Everyone inside STARTLES.

INT. BATMOBILE - NIGHT

After seeing that the hook was a success...

BATMAN
Enable containment brakes.

Batman’s voice command triggers something on the panel.

CAMERA PANS DOWN through the car floor to -

UNDER THE BATMOBILE

From the car’s floor thrusts out HYDRAULIC ARMS that STICK
INTO THE GROUND and make the vehicle HALT abruptly.

EXT. GOTHAM STREETS - NIGHT

Once the Batmobile stops, the hook cable stretches and JOLTS
violently the van back in a forced brake.

The inertia makes the thugs driver and passenger SLAM on the
windshield SPIDERWEBBING the glass. One of the van’s rear
doors FLIES OFF. Tires now crooked.

BEAT as both vehicles stop in the street.

Batmobile’s canopy opens, Batman hops out his car striding

toward the van as the pedestrians on the sidewalks watch the
whole situation.

A stunned thug tries to get out of the van, but he cannot

even stand.

Batman aggressively pulls the man onto the street and climbs
into the van.

INT. RIDDLER’S VAN - NIGHT

Everything inside is trashed. The two men in the front seats

are faint. Three more on the back are in the same state,
including the Riddler.

Batman walks past the thugs and hauls the Riddler to his feet
by the collar, slamming him against the van sidewall.

BATMAN
Wake up, Nigma.

Riddler wakes up slowly, but Batman is out of patience. He

HEADBUTTS Nigma, which wakes him up immediately.

BATMAN (CONT'D)
I want all the files that you
have, now. Then I find out how you
got it.

RIDDLER
You don’t know even what is
happening, isn’t it, bats?

BATMAN
Do not test my patience now,
Nigma! Give me the damn files
before I break your jaw!

However, the Dark Knight does not notice one of the bad guys
on the ground regaining his consciousness. He grabs a
Batman’s leg trying to help his boss.

Batman loses attention off Riddler for a moment to give a

single kick in that thug’s face, making him sleep again. As
Batman turns back to Nigma...

... he INJECTS THE SYRINGE into Batman’s shoulder.

Instinctively, Batman drops Nigma and removes the syringe.

He notes that almost all the content was injected and tosses
the object away.

Batman grabs the Riddler again.

BATMAN (CONT'D)
What is that? What you, Poison Ivy
and Crane are planning?

RIDDLER
(smiling)
It seems that you have accumulated
riddles enough, Batman.

Batman realizes that Riddler will not tell anything.

BATMAN
You are a sick and will go back to
the Arkham.

With a sharp punch in the face, Batman makes the Riddler fall
unconscious.

Batman scans around and finds the Riddler’s laptop on the

floor. He picks it up and sees on the cracked screen a
message.

ON THE LAPTOP: The image is locked in the upload screen that

we saw earlier, this time with the message: “upload
complete.”

EXT. CANYON SKYLINE - DAWN

MOVING over that beautiful natural landscape of rocks and

sand, we hear a mix of random VOICES going out over the
ether. CLOSE IN a lone figure at the top of the cliffs.

It’s J’ONN J’ONZZ. Standing and listening to all the voices

in his head. He looks like a living statue.

Green Lantern and Superman hang in front of him, but the

Martian does not seem to realize the heroes.

GREEN LANTERN
We can interrupt when he’s like
that?

SUPERMAN
J’onn?

J’onn backs to reality, as if awakened from a sleep.

J’ONN
Oh, Superman. Hal. Forgive me, I
was scouring the human mind for
some Aquaman signal.

GREEN LANTERN
Some success?

J’ONN
Nothing. I went as deep as I could
but found nothing with my specific
skill. This is very unusual to me.

GREEN LANTERN
I used my ring to check all of
North America and parts of Europe.
Nothing too.

SUPERMAN
Arthur would never disappear that
way, not about to leave his wife
and child concerned.

GREEN LANTERN
Do you believe he was... abducted?

J’ONN
Arthur is a strong man, he would
have resisted to his last breath.
I’m going to scan around his
kingdom and see what I find.

GREEN LANTERN
Need help?

J’ONN
I’d rather do it in disguise.

SUPERMAN
I will be with the communicator
always online if needed. Hal?

GREEN LANTERN

SUPERMAN

J’onn gives them a nod. Superman and Green Lantern fly away.

AQUAMAN’S FACE.

Filling the screen. His eyes are closed.

THEN - they SNAP open. Totally confused, Aquaman moves his

eyeballs trying to identify that place he is.

PULL BACK to reveal we’re in a -

INT. SURGERY LAB

A creepy, dark lab. No windows. Aquaman lies on an operating

table, with his limbs and head wrapped by leather straps.

There is only a single focus of light coming from the

spotlight above Aquaman and nothing else.

Aquaman tries to free himself from his bonds, but he does not
seem to have enough strength for it. He feels weak and tired.

Trying to look around, Aquaman only gets glimpses of

dissected BRAINS on trays, some surgical tools and medical
equipment.

AQUAMAN
Where... where am I?

FOOTSTEPS sound around, but he’s not sure exactly where they
are coming from. Aquaman tries to break free again, but in
vain.

AQUAMAN (CONT'D)
Damn -- I can hear you, son of a
bitch! Show yourself!

VOICE (O.S.)
Do not be nervous, Aquaman. You
are here for a great purpose.

AQUAMAN
Whoever you are, you made a big
mistake in capturing me. If you
are allied with the Black Manta,
I...

VOICE (O.S.)
Black Manta was just one piece
more in the set.

We get the glimpse of a FIGURE in doctor’s robes passing

behind Aquaman, but without showing his face.

AQUAMAN
Pray that the Justice League will
catch you before I break free,
otherwise I’ll make you pay for
all of this.

VOICE (O.S.)
No, your friends will not get you.
No one will come. I disabled the
tracker in your belt a long time
ago.

Angrily, Aquaman tries to move again... and nothing.

I ensured that you were sedated
enough that you could not use the
full potential of your strength.

The stranger steps out the revealing to be BRAINIAC - dressed

as a doctor ready for surgery.

BRAINIAC

Brainiac.

BRAINIAC
You don’t know how important you

you, understand you.

Brainiac reaches out to grab something...

BRAINIAC (CONT'D)
As the Earthlings say it?

... and he brings a SURGICAL SAW.

EXT. CENTRAL CITY STREETS - DAY

BARRY and IRIS ALLEN walk hand in hand laughing quite the
conversation. They go toward a RESTAURANT with a brash neon
sign: PLANET KRYPTON.

IRIS
-- You love to give that kind of
answer, is not it?

BARRY
The robber had a bomb in the teddy
bear, I had to say something.

When they arrived at the restaurant entrance:

IRIS
Would you ever get tired of coming
here?

BARRY
Come on, it makes me laugh. By the
way, I’m starving.

They push the revolving doors into -

INT. PLANET KRYPTON RESTAURANT - DAY

- a big, busy nationwide CHAIN RESTAURANT. Upscale family

dining with a SUPER HERO THEME. Walls lined with
reproductions of capes, masks, weapons. Artifacts.

And the staff all in COSTUMES. “Green Lantern” waiters pass

“Wonder Woman” waitresses. “Aquaman” busboys clean tables. A
“Martian Manhunter” tends bar.

Barry and Iris sit at a table. A WAITER in ill-fitting Flash

costume comes to serve them.

FLASH WAITER
Hi, I’m Flash and I’ll be your
server today.

They check the menu.

BARRY
Hi there, Flash. Let’s see... two
KryptoBurguer platters, both
Superman-sized and a large
Wonderslaw. Plus, let’s go ahead
and add an Aquaman. Just the
sandwich. And coffee.

The waiter stares. Barry shrugs.

BARRY (CONT'D)
Fast metabolism.

IRIS
I wanna the Chicken Caesar.

BARRY
And Flash... make it quick, will
you?

Barry smiles, Iris rolls her eyes. The waiter, too.

FLASH WAITER
Funny. Never heard that one...

And he ambles off to put in their order. Slowly.

BARRY
Sorry, but I needed to say.

IRIS
News about Aquaman?

BARRY
Superman said J’onn is looking for
him. If he doesn’t find anything,
a meeting will be convened with
all members of the team.

IRIS
I hope he’s all right. He has just
become a father, wasn’t it? A
child growing up without a dad
presence would be horrible.

BARRY

We’ll find him. Arthur is a tough
guy.

IRIS

The Flash waiter arrives with the orders and puts it on the
table.

BARRY (CONT'D)

IRIS

BARRY
I see you in a blink, Flash.

The waiter gives a clearly forced smile and leaves.

FLASH WAITER
(muttering)
Asshole.

The couple eats that tasty food.

IRIS
Where I was? Oh yes, Sissy plans
to come next month, so I was
thinking that maybe we...

Iris notes that Barry is distracted again.

IRIS (CONT'D)
Barry, if it’s Wonder Woman again
I swear for God...

BARRY
No. Look.

Iris turns to the TV too, surprised.

ON THE TV SCREEN: AERIAL FOOTAGE over the desert, but with

something strange there - a GIGANTIC ICEBERG.

TV VOICE
-- So far no one has found a
plausible explanation for this
amazing fact.

A witness in the place reported
seeing a man just point to the
sand and in seconds the ice was
formed...

Back to Iris and Barry.

IRIS
How could this have happened?

She turns back to Barry and sees him preparing to leave.

BARRY
I’m sorry, Iris, you know how I
hate to interrupt our times.

Iris just accepts, she already imagines that this would

happen.

IRIS
Of course. Go save the world.

Before leave, Barry leans closer to her face.

BARRY
I love you.

After a kiss, Barry sets off.

EXT. OPEN SEA - DAY

WHOOSH! A CRIMSON BLUR races through the calm waters, plowing

up water walls sideways along his path.

It’s THE FLASH.

He BOLTS away, vanishing from our sight.

EXT. ICEBERG SITE - DESERT - DAY

With a swirl of sand, Flash arrives at the site of the huge

iceberg.

Then he surveys his surroundings: several reporting teams

settling in, helicopters making an air cover of the place.
And right ahead, the iceberg.

In fact, not just the iceberg but a small OASIS around.

Plants and vines that never grow up in a place like this.

THE FLASH
You got be kidding me...

Flash walks through that forest, amazed and puzzled at the

same time as he sees it. He touches some leaves. They are
real. Natural.

VOICE (O.S.)
Look, it’s one of them!

ARAB CHILDREN swarm Flash talking at the same time excited.

An OLD ARABIAN man approaches Flash, he soothes that children

and drives them away from the Speedster.

OLD ARABIAN
Forgive me for this, it’s because
they are still quite shaken by
what happened.

THE FLASH
If I heard right, they said I’m
more “one of them.” Anyone else
like me came here?

OLD ARABIAN
Yes, it was he who made the
miracle on this earth. He must
have been sent from heaven.

THE FLASH

EXT. DESERT - DAY (FLASHBACK)

vast desert. A Jeep parks in the middle of that land and two
men get out it.

One of them is the same old Arabian, and the other is LEONARD
SNART, THE CAPTAIN COLD - wearing a light outfit and toting
his ICE GUN.

OLD ARABIAN (V.O.)

He took me to the middle of the
empty and told me to just observe.

CAPTAIN COLD
I want you to pay close attention
to what you will see now, old man.
Then you will spread it to
everyone, will make them believe,
do you understand?

The old man just nods. Captain Cold takes some steps forward
and aims his gun at the ground.

OLD ARABIAN (V.O.)

And he just pointed that tool to
the ground and in a matter of
seconds...

Captain Cold fires an ICE BLAST in the sand. Manipulating the

gun, he gradually creates and shapes the iceberg.

OLD ARABIAN (V.O.)

... he created the impossible.

BACK TO:

EXT. ICEBERG SITE - DESERT - DAY

Back to present. Realization hits Flash.

THE FLASH
Snart... what are you planning
now?

OLD ARABIAN
And then came a woman.

THE FLASH
What woman?

OLD ARABIAN
Yes, she did this... the trees,
flowers, plants... she did all
born around. And she did the same
thing in my village. Now we have
fruit for the rest of the year.

Flash reacts, more intricate than before.

THE FLASH
(to himself)
What hell is happening here?

OLD ARABIAN
And you, Red Man?
(off Flash’s stare)
How you will bless us?

Off that:

EXT. LIBYA VILLAGE - DAY

A poor and abandoned place. Children play in the mud, people

walk here and there.

LEGEND: “LIBYA, AFRICA”

The roar of car ENGINES draws everyone’s attention. And from

the jungle road comes a CONVOY of vans and trucks that enter
the village.

Villagers stop what they were doing to watch that.

The vehicles park there. Uniformed men exit from each of them
and begin to remove several boxes out the trucks, whose make
reads “LEXCORP”, as well as in vehicles bodywork.

A particular man coordinates everything: WINSLOW SCHOTT, THE

TOYMAN.

WINSLOW
Okay, let’s begin.

EXT. UNDERWATER - OCEAN - DAY

Following a strange MARINE CREATURE - unlike any other we

have ever seen before, otherworldly.

It swims in the depths of the ocean with incredible ability,

through rocks and coral.

After passing over a cliff, the creature encounters the black

dome at the seabed, the same as Aquaman investigated.

The being approaches the structure. It smoothly touches the

dome surface, feeling it.

The thing becomes INTANGIBLE and slips through the dome

surface, flowing into it.

INT. ACCESS RAMP - DOME - DAY

The creature emerges from the wall like a ghost. As it

touches the ground, it becomes TANGIBLE again.

Then it begins to MORPH its body into something else - in

J’onn. He returns to the shape that we know him.

He climbs the ramp noticing a single exit door at the end of

the path. As he walks, the light intensifies. It’s like
there’s a sun in there.

EXT. NEW COLU - DOME - DAY

J’onn steps through the ramp entryway, realizing a...

... SPRAWLING METROPOLIS around him. This is NEW COLU.

A perfect replica of a typical downtown. The only difference

is that THERE IS NO LIFE. There’s no one over there besides
the Martian.

There is an artificial atmosphere inside and holographic

panels on the ceiling simulating the blue sky.

J’onn wanders through the empty streets always looking

around, intrigued.

BEAT as J’onn stops.

He closes his eyes and uses his telepathy. But there is no

mind for him to read there.

J’ONN
Nobody.

Then J’onn FLOATS up, moving at the height of the buildings.

It’s a great ghost town.

INT. GRODD’S CHAMBER - DAY

A room similar to a laboratory. We hear a quick typing sound.

There is a BULKY FIGURE sitting with his back to us.

Meet - GORILLA GRODD. An imposing ape swarmed by floating

HOLOGRAPHIC SCREENS. One of them shows footage of J’onn in
New Colu.

GRODD
You made a big mistake, Martian.
You should have come with your
friends.

EXT. OVER NEW COLU - DOME - DAY

Back on J’onn, soaring over the city. Suddenly, he feels a

sharp pain in his brain that makes him stop in midair.

GRODD (V.O.)
Martian...

J’ONN
What...?

GRODD (V.O.)

Grodd presses a keyboard button.

GRODD

EXT. NEW COLU STREETS - DOME - DAY

At that same instant -

- an electronic device emerges from the sidewalk next to

J’onn. He stares. It emits a tiny SPARK and -

- KA-BOOM! THE ENTIRE BLOCK IS ENGULFED UP IN FLAMES, losing

J’onn from sight inside the blast.

A FIREBALL lumbers out the fire curtain - it’s J’onn! He is

with his whole body on fire like a human torch.

He runs desperately looking for some way out.

EXT. UNDERWATER - OCEAN - DAY

Just as he entered, J’onn now leaves through the dome thanks

to his intangibility.

His skin was almost a hundred percent burned. He gets

tangible again but motionless.

After seeing that the attack on the Martian Manhunter was a

success, Grodd turns to another monitor.

always. Clark Kent works at his desk.

He hears a BEEP, only him. Clark tries to remain discreet

That voice calls Tornado attention instantly. He turns to

Grodd taps a keyboard button displaying several CRIMINAL

PROFILES on all his screens. All are known SUPER-VILLAINS,
arch-enemies of our heroes.

And in another monitor, the Batcave’s files show the profile

of each hero from J.L.

GRODD
I will be forever grateful, Mr.
Wayne.

INT. OPS CENTER - HALL OF JUSTICE - DAY

Red Tornado checks again the strange warning in the ocean

that he received early.

On the screen, he makes a deeper analysis coming to the

conclusion that the commotion of fish pointed to a specific
point in South America.

We hear the door opening, then oncoming footsteps of someone

OFF CAMERA.

Red Tornado notes his presence, but we do not see the

stranger yet.

RED TORNADO
Oh, it’s you. I have good news, I
probably found something that
could get us to Aquaman. Still,
not sure, so I do not want to warn
others. Maybe you can help me.

As the android turns around, the stranger throws an

ELECTRONIC DART that pins into Tornado’s chest.

Before he could react, the dart emits an electric charge.

Tendrils of energy swirling Red Tornado’s body as he
COLLAPSES on his knees.

RED TORNADO (CONT'D)

His power FLICKERS. Red Tornado loses control of his own body
and cannot move.

My system... is being corrupted...

AND SUDDENLY -

- that dart BLOWS A HOLE in his chest, spreading red shards

around the room.

Like a lifeless mannequin, Red Tornado falls face down on the

ground, now just junk.

We hear the door opening again, then closing.

EXT. OCEAN - DAY

An INVISIBLE AIRCRAFT-LIKE SHAPE hovers a few feet above the

ocean, churning the water with its turbines.

It’s Wonder Woman’s INVISIBLE PLANE.

Moments later, the Amazon warrior bursts out the water

wearing a WETSUIT and lands on her plane.

The airplane’s canopy opens revealing the cockpit. As she

strips off her wetsuit, the RADIO sounds:

BATMAN
(over radio)
Wonder Woman, do you copy?

WONDER WOMAN
Batman? I’ve been trying to
contact Red Tornado but he does
not answer. I found nothing in the
sea.

BATMAN
(over radio)
Tornado also did not answer my
calls. But before he disappeared,
he gave me a possible location
from where Aquaman and J’onn might
be. Maybe you wanna check it out.

... as the canopy closes, the plane ROCKETS INTO THE SKY.

EXT. SKY - DAY

WHOOSH! A FIGHTER JET ROARS into frame, TEARING through the

majestic blue sky.

CAROL (V.O.)

INT. FIGHTER JET COCKPIT - DAY

Hal Jordan pilots the aircraft with mastery, always enjoying

the moment.

HAL
Smooth as a walk in the park,
Tower.

INT. CONTROL TOWER - FERRIS AIRCRAFT - DAY

A 360 degree view of the sky. CAROL FERRIS talks to Hal

through her headset.

CAROL
I hope you’re not referencing a
one night we were together.

HAL (V.O.)

But I remember very well.

CLOSE ON HAL’S FACE: His eyes widen after recognizing who is

there.

Sinestro creates a HUGE ENERGY AX with the power of his ring

and swipes it for the jet - Hal does his best to dodge, but
the ax SLASHES A JET WING OFF.

INT. CONTROL TOWER - FERRIS AIRCRAFT - DAY

The communication with Hal is lost.

CAROL
Highball, you hear me?
(beat)
Hal!

She turns to the technicians around.

CAROL
Find out what happened up there!

EXT. SKY - DAY

On Hal’s fighter jet as it DIVES spinning endlessly, smoking

from its shattered wing.

Through the cockpit glass we see Hal trying to stabilize the

jet, but in vain, the aircraft is already lost. Without many
options, Hal EJECTS out the plane.

But he doesn’t activate the parachute, his whole body wraps

in a GREEN LIGHT that garbs him into the GREEN LANTERN SUIT.

Green Lantern hovers in mid-air as his plane crashes into the

ground. Behind him, Sinestro.

Sinestro.

SINESTRO
Jordan. It is always displeasing
see you again.

GREEN LANTERN
I don’t know how you found me but
I will not forgive for what you
did.

SINESTRO
Oh, I’m really scared now.

Sinestro flies away, Green Lantern chases him.

INT. ABANDONED WAREHOUSE - DAY

Alone, Wonder Woman walks across that empty, abandoned space.

Her footsteps echo in the silence.

HIGH ANGLE: From the ceiling, a FEMALE FIGURE moves catlike

through the rafters without Wonder Woman noticing.

Wonder Woman stops walking, she realizes this place is a dead

end. There’s nothing here.

WONDER WOMAN
(into comm)
Batman, I’m in the place you said.
There’s nothing here besides
rubbish. You sent me the right
coordinates?

But there is no reply.

WONDER WOMAN (CONT'D)

Batman?

At this moment, Wonder Woman SENSES something. As she whirls

around, CHEETAH LASHES OUT from the ceiling, sharp CLAWS up.

Wonder Woman SHIELDS with her silver bracelets, making sparks

fly as Cheetah hits her claws on them.

But Cheetah does not give up, she keeps ATTACKING swinging
her claws through the air as Wonder Woman PARRIES and DUCKS.

Wonder Woman seizes a momentum and takes some distance.

WONDER WOMAN (CONT'D)

Priscilla! What are you doing?

CHEETAH
What do you think? Killing you.

WONDER WOMAN
I thought you’d given up this
life. Whatever happened to you,
let me help.

CHEETAH
Help me? There’s only one way to
help me, Diana Prince.

Before the Amazon Princess could say a word, Cheetah CHARGES

her like a fierce beast.

Wonder Woman gets defensive all the time, trying not to hurt
her enemy.

WONDER WOMAN
Priscilla, please...

Wonder Woman manages to CHOKE HOLD Cheetah, immobilizing her

right there.

WONDER WOMAN (CONT'D)

It doesn’t need be like this... I
do not want to hurt you!

CHEETAH
But I do!

Cheetah headbutts with the back of her head getting rid of

Wonder Woman’s grip. In the same instant, she retaliates with
her claws.

In one of those deadly moves, Cheetah’s claws cut some

strands of Wonder Woman’s hair, barely hitting her face.

Only now Wonder Woman realizes that Cheetah is bloody

serious.

INT. SURGERY LAB

The silence is broken...

... by a flickering burst of light, a rip in the air.

Out of that fissure, Lex Luthor appears. He wears a high-tech

without any sign of life. We still don’t see what Brainiac
did in his head.

What is this? Is Aquaman still

Brainiac is standing at his counter, removing the surgical

gloves.

BRAINIAC
(sarcastically)
Your powers of deduction impress
me every time, Luthor.

LUTHOR
Is he dead?

BRAINIAC
It does not matter now, does it?

Now Brainiac removes his dirty dried blood medical robe.

BRAINIAC (CONT'D)
Why are you here so early? Have
you been planning anything against
me, Luthor?

LUTHOR
Are you reading my mind now?

BRAINIAC
No. Even I have limitations.

LUTHOR
Relax, the pawns are already
playing, soon the Justice League
will no longer concern anyone. We
only have to wait the
confirmation.

Brainiac grabs something from his belt and shows to Luthor:

EXT. NEVADA DESERT - DAY

Vast, unending. Mountains rise up from the high desert floor.

WIDE ON: Something in the sky miles away - like a shooting

star - PLUNGES DOWN toward the ground.

ON GREEN LANTERN AND SINESTRO -

In a CLOSE-RANGE COMBAT, exchanging blows as both PLUMMET to

the desert floor.

The ground is getting closer and closer to the two men

without them noticing. They are very distracted in the fight.

And finally...

... KA-BLAM! They SLAM INTO THE GROUND so hard, blowing up

sand and rocks everywhere.

Green Lantern shoots out the dust curtain bouncing across the
ground, like a stone tossed in the lake.

He stops meters away from his crash-site. While Hal

recomposes himself on fours, an ENERGY-YELLOW CABLE wraps his
ankle.

Sinestro TUGS Green Lantern with all his mighty, sending him
into the air.

As Green Lantern flies past Sinestro, he fires from his ring

a HOOK that STICKS into the ground, pulling him towards
Sinestro at speed.

Sinestro didn’t expect that. He tries create a shield, but

before the construct can be finalized, Green Lantern SMASHES
through it, hitting Sinestro’s chest with his both feet.

The Yellow Lantern rolls down the ground. Green Lantern walks
toward him already victorious.

GREEN LANTERN
You shame the Green Lantern Corps,
Sinestro, considering that you
have been one of us. The Guardians
themselves considered you a great
man.
(beat)
So I do.

Sinestro tries to get up but Green Lantern knocks him down

again with a kick.

GREEN LANTERN (CONT'D)

I did not send you stand up.

Green Lantern gazes at Sinestro with disdain.

GREEN LANTERN (CONT'D)

I’ll take you back to the galactic
prison and ensure that you never
escape there again or use the
yellow ring.

He points his bright green ring ready to end the fight, but
Sinestro turns to him with an unexpected smile.

Before the Green Lantern can give the final blow, Sinestro
aims at him a stranger CYLINDRICAL ALIEN DEVICE, which PULSES
a dazzling FLASH OF LIGHT that affects Green Lantern’s face.

Grabbing his eyes, Green Lantern staggers back dazed.

Sinestro rises, wiping some blood at the corner of his mouth.

SINESTRO
I confess I thought it would be
too easy to catch you by surprise,
Jordan, but what good I was wrong.
What is life without its
challenges, right?

GREEN LANTERN
What... what you’ve done to me?

Green Lantern falls on his knees as Sinestro approaches him

from behind.

GREEN LANTERN (CONT'D)

I-I can’t see... I can’t see...

When Green Lantern moves his hands away from his face, we
finally see what happened: HE’S BLIND. Opaque eyes.

Sinestro seizes the moment and SWATS Green Lantern to the

ground.

SINESTRO
I think it’s time to give to you a
lesson about not being too
confident, Jordan.

Shaken, Hal tries to get up but Sinestro drops him again.

SINESTRO (CONT'D)
I did not send you stand up.

Sinestro circles Green Lantern.

SINESTRO (CONT'D)
I want to warn you that do not be
afraid, I’ll not kill you. I
wanted, but not now. However, that
does not prevent I can...

He creates a BASEBALL BAT of yellow energy.

SINESTRO (CONT'D)

Sinestro lifts the bat above his head. As he THWACKS Green

Lantern right in the face, we -

INT. ABANDONED WAREHOUSE - DAY

Back at the fight: Wonder Woman proves to be more skillful

than Cheetah in hand-to-hand. And Cheetah knows that.

Cheetah takes distance and picks up a CHAIN hanging on a

column, she uses it like a whip against Wonder Woman.

Wonder Woman can not defend herself against all the chain
attacks and gets hit in the ribs and the knee, falling on it.

Cheetah whips out the chain again. This time, Wonder Woman
raises her arm making the chain CURL around it.

Wonder Woman grips the chain and LURCHES Cheetah ASIDE,

slamming her onto a column. Wonder Woman stands, dizzy.

WONDER WOMAN
It’s over, Cheetah.

With every step Marvelous Woman gives toward Cheetah, she

feels increasingly sick.

CHEETAH
Yes... to you.

Wonder Woman notices something in her arm - SCRATCHES made by

Cheetah’s claws.

WONDER WOMAN
What do you...?

CHEETAH
Persephone accepted my sacrifice
in exchange for the Lamentation of
Hercules, the poison of the
Centaurs.

Wonder Woman REACTS.

CHEETAH (CONT'D)
Now you will watch your own death
slowly and painfully.

WONDER WOMAN’S POV: She eyes at her hands. Her vision is

getting blurry and the skin paler.

WONDER WOMAN
Priscilla, you --

WHAM! Cheetah WALLOPS Wonder Woman in the face, dropping her

on the ground unconscious.

CHEETAH
Rot until there’s nothing left.

Cheetah heads off leaving Wonder Woman alone.

INT. RAY PALMER’S OFFICE - NIGHT

Ray works at the computer.

His phone RINGS. He checks the call: it’s JANE LORING, his
girlfriend. But Ray doesn’t answer and puts it back on the
desk.

RAY
You will have to wait, honey.

Ray backs to his computer.

EXT. BUILDING ROOFTOP - NIGHT

The door SMASHES OPEN, a sturdy woman takes in the terrace.

This is GIGANTA, wearing a stealth suit and with a SNIPER

RIFLE lying on her shoulder.

She walks up to the edge and sets in there with the rifle.

RIFLE SCOPE POV: Giganta passes by several windows in the

building across the street. She stops right at the window of
Ray’s office, a perfect shot.

INT. RAY PALMER’S OFFICE - NIGHT

At that moment, Ray’s phone rings again. As he bends to pick

up the mobile...

... RAY TAKES A SHOT IN THE SOULDER! Blood splashing on his

computer monitor.

He falls to the ground, dropping the cell phone under his

desk, out of reach.

RAY
Shit!

He glances at his shoulder and sees the blood staining the

floor of his office.

EXT. BUILDING ROOFTOP - NIGHT

Furious for having missed the shot, Giganta drops the rifle
and grabs her pistol as she leaves the roof.

EXT. MIDWAY CITY MUSEUM - NIGHT

Establishing. The museum is closed.

INT. LOBBY - MIDWAY CITY MUSEUM - NIGHT

Carter and Shiera prepare to leave.

CARTER
Are you ready?

SHIERA
Yes. I tried to contact the QG and
no one answered.

CARTER
No matter, we’re going there now.
I’m tired of standing still just
waiting.

As they stride down the hall, Shiera steps on something that

makes a CRACK. Carter keeps moving.

She looks down and sees a TOY SOLDIER under her foot. Shiera
takes it, and Carter realizes that she was left behind.

CARTER (CONT'D)
Shiera?

SHIERA
I think some kid dropped this
during the visit.

Analyzing the toy, Shiera finds a message written on the back

of it: “Bye, bye :)” - and she doesn’t see this with a good
feeling.

Carter hears the sound of running small GEARS. MANY of them.

WIDER TO REVEAL -

The entire lobby hall is swarmed by ELECTRONIC TOYS moving on

their own, surrounding Shiera and Carter. The couple exchange
looks.

SHIERA (CONT'D)
Carter...

CARTER
RUN!

Together, they run like hell. All the toys stand like
statues. In the next second...

... BOOM! EACH TOY EXPLODES in unison, forming a unique and

powerful detonation.

EXT. MIDWAY CITY MUSEUM - NIGHT

The blast obliterates every window of the building.

INT. KITCHEN - QUEEN MANSION - NIGHT

Wearing nightclothes, Dinah prepares some milk and cereal.

She turns around to find Oliver, standing behind her.

DINAH
My God, Oliver! You almost made me
take down the food.

OLIVER
Do not be so dramatic, I know I’m
breathtaking but not so much.

DINAH
I disagree, you already took my
breath away often.

OLIVER
Maybe we should add one more in
the list.

He hugs Dinah passionately, and she likes it.

DINAH
I thought we had agreed to do this
in the room but I love it when you
rush.

OLIVER
I know.

He starts kissing her cheek and keeps sliding down her neck.

While they are excited that sexy time, Dinah does not realize
that Oliver draws a SYRINGE.

Oliver injects the syringe into her neck suddenly. Dinah

pushes Oliver back and pulls out the syringe, confused.

DINAH
Oliver? What...

It does not take long until Dinah feels weird, groggy at the
effect of that substance.

DINAH (CONT'D)
Why you... why...

Dinah COLLAPSES to ground, fainted.

OLIVER
Shhh. Time to sleep.

INT. BEDROOM - QUEEN MANSION - NIGHT

The REAL Oliver Queen lies on the bed watching TV. Dinah
appears on the doorway, pretty sexy in a lingerie.

OLIVER
Wow, you know make a chatterbox
like me speechless.

DINAH
I hope you like, I have a
surprise.

She sensually walks over the bed and sits on top of Oliver.

OLIVER
I love surprises.

They kiss. But Oliver begins to feel something strange. He

looks at his fingers and sees that they are dirty with CLAY.

OLIVER (CONT'D)
Dinah?

Dinah Queen MORPHS in that moment - her body seems to be

melting the first moment, but in fact it’s the CLAY FACE
assuming his original form.

Oliver tries to ward off the villain away but all he does is
to sink more and more like a quicksand. Gradually the hero is
being suffocated.

INT. PLANET KRYPTON RESTAURANT - NIGHT

Barry and Iris dinner. He’s about to finish his food.

IRIS
I accept you like this place but I
do not accept you think the food
names are nice.

BARRY
C’mon, they’re the minimum cute.
You should try the Flash sup. You
will not regret.

IRIS
I think I have too much Flash in
my life.

A WAITER approaches the table - his face off screen - and

delivers a bowl of soup to Barry.

BARRY
Sorry but I did not ask that.

WAITER
This is the house, sir. A small
bonus for our most frequent
customers.

BARRY
Well... thanks.

Barry accepts the soup. As the waiter leaves, PAN UP TO his

face revealing: CAPTAIN COLD, using a hooded cloak that
covers part of his face.

INT. BULLPEN - DAILY PLANET - NIGHT

The office is empty, except that Clark stands there packing

his stuff about to leave.

One of the newspaper EDITOR passes by and notes Kent at his

desk and waves.

EDITOR
Another hard night, Kent?

CLARK
You know Perry, if I do not
deliver this story tomorrow he
eats me alive.

EDITOR
That old man never changes. Good
night to you.

CLARK
You too, Jaime.

The editor enters one of the elevators. Clark goes in the

next one, he taps on the panel button and waits.

Beat.

Moments later, the elevator doors open revealing someone

inside it: METALLO.

METALLO
So it’s here where you pretend to
play the noble hard worker.

SHOCKED, Clark doesn’t note Metallo’s fist STRIKING into his

face, sending him across the room and slamming on a column.

METALLO (CONT'D)
(walking toward Clark)
Really? You could be anything,
anyone in this world and you
decide to live a mediocre life of
reporter. Now I hate you more.

CLARK
(rising)
Metallo... how did you find out?
Who told you about me?

METALLO
Consider this as my little secret.
 69.

Metallo ADVANCES. Clark does the same. Both running straight

toward each other. Clark sends a hook, but...

... Metallo DUCKS and wraps his arms around Clark’s torso,
hustling him backwards.

They move through the office making a havoc.

Metallo POUNDS Clark’s ribs. Clark glances back and realizes

that they are approaching the windows. Then he ELBOWS
Metallo’s back three times hard, knocking him down.

CLARK
Tell me who you’re working with,
Metallo, I know you could not
figure this out on your own. Is it
Luthor?

METALLO
I have seen -- we have all seen
what you will do with the world,
and do not think I would stay out
of the party.

CLARK
What are you talking about?

In a quick move, Metallo grasps Clark’s leg and THROWS him

into upper balcony, losing his sight.

Metallo climbs to his feet. BUT AT THAT MOMENT -

- SUPERMAN BULLETS from the balcony and PLUNGES INTO METALLO

through the floor, down to the -

NEXT LOWER LEVEL

Slamming on the ground. As both men land, they separate

taking distance from each other.

METALLO
Okay, enough of being nice.

He rips the front of his shirt showing his ROBOTIC BODY under
clothing. And on his chest, a HATCH that shelters something
in his thorax.

Superman realizes what Metallo is trying to do. He picks up a

telephone on one of the desks and hurls it straight into
Metallo's forehead, knocking him off his feet.

Superman DASHES to on top of Metallo, who tries to open his

chest hatch but the Man of Steel HOLDS that plate, keeping it
closed.

SUPERMAN
Say what Luthor is planning! Say
it!

The moment is interrupted by a SONIC BOOM from outside. When

Superman faces Metallo, he’s smiling.

METALLO
I also have my reinforcements.

Off Superman’s puzzled stare...

... A TERRIBLE WHISTLE, then a BLUR of RED AND BLUE EXPLODES

THROUGH THE CEILING STRIKING OUT SUPERMAN.

EXT. METROPOLIS STREETS - NIGHT

A piece of the Daily Planet is BLOWN APART by TWO FIGURES...

... that SLAM INTO THE STREET like a meteor! They blow a
CRATER in the ground, STARTLING the pedestrians around.

A cloud of dust swells up.

Some people flee frightened, others stay there, watching or

recording everything with their cell phones.

A pedestrian takes cautious steps toward the crater. He sees

the SILHOUETTE of a man standing in the dust. As the dust
settles, the pedestrian notes the red cape and the blue suit
of Superman.

PEDESTRIAN
Superman?

But this Superman is different. His skin is pale white, the

body is a little bent, his hair is messy - it’s not Superman,
but BIZARRO.

The real Superman lies on the ground.

INT. RAY PALMER’S OFFICE - NIGHT

With a little effort, Ray JAMS his chair under the doorknob.
Then he anchors on the wall, still bleeding.

RAY
(into comm)
Here is Ray Palmer, I’m under
attack! I repeat, I’m under
attack. Someone found my identity.

However, there is no response.

 71.

RAY (CONT'D)
Damn! -- there is anyone
listening?

He waits... nothing. Ray tosses his comm away and opens the
desk drawer, where rests The Atom’s BELT. And picks it.

With his injured shoulder, Ray has difficulty wrapping the

belt around his waist. But as soon as he succeeds...

... BLAM! Giganta KICKS open the door and finds Ray sitting
on the ground. She takes aim.

As Giganta FIRES, Ray TRIGGERS his belt and SHRINKS, escaping

from a deadly shot. Giganta looks around the room searching
her target.

GIGANTA
Show yourself, little one.

No sign of Ray. Giganta scans around the office in search of

the diminutive Ray. But it’s like looking for a needle in the
haystack.

SUDDENLY -

- she feels a TERRIBLE PAIN IN HER LEFT EYE, enough to make

her fire randomly in the office. The pain increases and she
drops the pistol to grab her own eyes.

Giganta staggers closer and closer to the window. In a

desperate act, Giganta starts to GROW inside the office
SQUASHING all her surroundings.

Uncontrollable, Giganta stumbles through the window -

EXT. RAY’S APARTMENT BUILDING - CONTINUOUS

- and a 15-FOOT WOMAN BLASTS from Ray’s office, dropping into

a FREEFALL.

Giganta HITS THE GROUND in a thunderous impact, crushing

every parked car in that area.

She lies motionless now.

CLOSE ON GIGANTA’S FACE: Something very small leaves her left

eye and slides down the cheek to the floor.

RAY RETURNS TO NORMAL SIZE and leans against one of the

overturned cars there and stares Giganta at his side. Even he
is surprised to have survived.

INT. PLANET KRYPTON RESTAURANT - NIGHT

As Barry finishes the soup, his watch BEEPS. Isn’t a good

thing and Iris realizes this by his expression.

IRIS
Bad news?

BARRY
Yes, and probably a big one.

IRIS
Go.

He smiles, kisses Iri’s cheek and leaves.

ANGLE ON: THE KITCHEN DOOR. Captain Cold just watches. A

wicked smile on his face.

EXT. CENTRAL CITY - NIGHT

THE FLASH. On the move. Racing through the entire city in a

crimson blur.

We follow him close zigzagging through cars, pedestrians,

bikes, buildings etc.

But he feels something strange. He’s increasingly FAST. Flash

looks at his legs as he had no control. And he hasn’t. His
muscles act on their own.

THE FLASH
I can’t stop...

EXT. METROPOLIS STREETS - NIGHT

Superman is THROWN INTO FRAME through an empty car, RIPPING

it in HALF. He skids across the street stopping in an
intersection.

The Man of Steel gets up, showing a little fatigue.

SUPERMAN
Where are you, Barry?

CUT TO -

Metallo and Bizarro, at the end of the street.

METALLO
Distract him to me.

Bizarro LEAPS toward Superman. Metallo takes an ordinary

REVOLVER from his belt.

CUT BACK TO -
 73.

Superman, as he realizes the civilians around.

SUPERMAN
Get out of here, it’s not safe!

A SHADOW covers Superman. He looks up and sees a car FALLING

toward him. He prepares to use his heat vision, but realizes
there is a MAN inside the vehicle.

Quickly, Superman flies up and catches the car, landing

safely on the street. The driver stays in SHOCK.

Luckily, Superman notices Bizarro’s REFLECTION oncoming from

behind in the car window.

Superman turns around GRASPING Bizarro’s punch, which

collision makes a SHOCK WAVE cracks the glasses around them.

Bizarro tries to send his other fist, but Superman holds that
too.

SUPERMAN (CONT'D)
Enough, Bizarro. Do not you
realize that Metallo is just using
you?

Bizarro responds Superman headbutting him. Superman

retaliates the same way, sending Bizarro BACKWARDS. Then
Superman flies toward him.

A Kicking Biker on a Harley weaves from around a corner. He

realizes his mistake and jams the throttle, but -

Lying on the ground, Bizarro grabs the front wheel of the

motorbike (sending the biker flying), and in one swoop belts
Superman with it.

The bike SHREDS as Superman lurches ASIDE with the blow

CRASHING into a truck, tipping it to its side.

A beat.

Then Superman bursts out the truck, back to the street.

Bizarro’s about to attack, but Superman CLAPS so hard that
makes him fall on his knees with the SONIC BOOM, grabbing his
ears in pain.

While Bizarro is distracted by the pain in his ears, Superman

gives a mighty UPPERCUT that knocks Bizarro out, completely
defeated now.

Superman stares at Bizarro, to make sure he’ll return or not.

But AT THAT MOMENT -

- Superman hears the trigger of a gun being pulled by his

SUPER-HEARING. Then a SHOT.
 74.

TIME SLOWS as Superman whirls around raising his hand to

catch the bullet, but what he doesn’t realize at the time is
that it’s a KRYPTONITE BULLET.

It PIERCES THROUGH SUPERMAN’S HAND culminating into his

CHEST.

Superman FREEZES. Pupils dilate.

BACK TO NORMAL SPEED as he tumbles flat on the ground like a

sand bag. Metallo walks up to him, with the barrel of his
revolver still smoking.

METALLO
I came prepared this time, blue
boy. But do not think that your
suffering is over.

Metallo’s chest hatch opens revealing the Kryptonite STONE.

METALLO (CONT'D)
It’s just beginning.

When it appears to be the end of the Man of Steel, A THUNDER

ROARS in the skies. Metallo looks up, suspicious.

CAMERA PIVOTS TO REVEAL - CAPTAIN MARVEL plunging like a

savior angel from the skies. He WHACKS Metallo squarely hard,
sending him FLYING to another block.

Marvel rushes up to Superman.

CAPTAIN MARVEL
My God -- I came as fast as I
could when I heard your call,
Superman.

SUPERMAN
(weak)
The Fortress... take me... there.

Captain Marvel gives him a nod. He picks Superman in his arms

and flies up and away.

INT. HALLWAY - QUEEN MANSION - NIGHT

A dazed Dinah Queen lumbers through the corridor, leaning

against the walls to keep standing.

INT. BEDROOM - QUEEN MANSION - NIGHT

On the bed there is a dense, thick MASS of clay bathing

Oliver entirely, choking him off.

Dinah appears at the doorway, still weak. She sees her

husband on the verge of death there.

DINAH
No... Oliver...
(sonic cry)
NOOOO!

She fills the bedroom with her SONIC CRY. All windows and
glass stuffs SHATTER instantly.

Clay Face screams in pain while his whole body creeps off
gradually, revealing Oliver beneath him.

Desperate, the villain jumps through the window to escape.

Finally, it’s over. Dinah falls on her knees exhausted.

Oliver gives a deep BREATH OF LIFE. Noticing his wife on the

ground, he rushes to help her.

OLIVER
Dinah -- you okay? What did he to
you?

DINAH
He tried to sedate me, but I don’t
let him used the entire dose. I
thought... he was you.

OLIVER
No, I’m here. No one will hurt you
now.

They hug.

INT. WILL MAGNUS’ WORKSHOP - NIGHT

Doctor Magnus checks various news stories about villains

helping people around the world.

That’s when a familiar voice sounds from his computer:

RED TORNADO
(on computer)
Doctor... doctor Magnus...

MAGNUS
What...?

RED TORNADO
(on computer)
I need your help.

INT. ROYAL BEDCHAMBER - ATLANTIS - NIGHT

On the royal bed lies the Martian Manhunter, with a

RESPIRATOR DEVICE on his face.

There are still some burn injuries on his body, but better
healed. Gradually, J’onn wakes up to find Mera standing by
the bed, with the baby Arthur in her arms.

Realizing that he woke up, Mera puts the baby back in the
crib and approaches J’onn.

MERA
Glad you’re alive. I thought being
late.

J’ONN
Thank you for hearing my call. You
were the closest to me at that
moment.

MERA
Any news from my husband? You
found him?

J’ONN
No... I’m sorry. But he runs
danger -- or rather, the whole
Justice League. I need to warn the
others.

J’onn tries to get on his feet, but with some difficulties.

Mera helps him.

MERA
Take it easy. We’ll use one of our
submarines to reach the surface.

Inside the room, the same portal in which we saw Luthor came
out, SHOWS UP here now used by BLACK MANTA, who steps out
flanked by more four thugs.

BLACK MANTA
Your Highness.

Manta aims Mera, but J’onn uses his INTANGIBILITY to make

them both FLOW down through the floor and escape.

BLACK MANTA (CONT'D)

(to his thugs)
Keep an eye on the door.

His men monitor the entrance door as Black Manta moves up to

the birthplace of little Arthur, who starts to cry.

Off that -

MOMENTS LATER:

J’onn and Mera burst in the room followed by Atlantean

soldiers. But there is NOBODY.

MERA
(realizes)
Arthur.

Mera runs desperately to the crib and finds it EMPTY.

MERA (CONT'D)
ARTHUR!

EXT. PIER - METROPOLIS - NIGHT

Luthor stands at the edge facing the bay of Metropolis. He

removes that five black pearls from his pocket and tosses
them in the water.

Moments later, the water starts to CHURN.

LUTHOR
May the new world come to us.

EXT. MIDWAY CITY MUSEUM - NIGHT

Fire crews and ambulances surrounded the site. The fire has
already been extinguished. Among the civilians in medical
care we find Carter and Shiera.

SHIERA
How did he know, Carter? How
Toyman knew exactly where to
attack us?

CARTER
I don’t know. Maybe he was
watching us now for some time...
we have to warn the others.

SHIERA
Nobody of the team responded to
our call. This can not be
coincidence.

CARTER
I agree.

Then they hear something in their MINDS:

J’ONN (V.O.)
Carter. Shiera.

SHIERA
This voice...

CARTER
It’s J’onn.

They start talking telepathically now.

All the League was the target of a
conspiracy. We are under attack.

CARTER (V.O.)
Toyman found us but we managed to
narrowly escape. What happened to

J’ONN (V.O.)

A pale Wonder Woman anchors on her invisible jet, recovering

her breath. She climbs to the cockpit, where she gets a
message.

MAGNUS
(over radio)
Wonder Woman, are you there?

WONDER WOMAN
Doctor Magnus? Is that you?

MAGNUS
(over radio)
I think you were the one I could
contact.

WONDER WOMAN
I was attacked by Cheetah. Batman
gave me this place to go, and I’m
going after him.

MAGNUS
(over radio)
But first, there’s something you
need to know about him.

Wonder Woman listens to him.

EXT. EARTH - OUTER SPACE

A beautiful shot of our blue world. Suddenly, A RED STREAK

crosses the globe in a matter of seconds. Then AGAIN.

EXT. OCEAN - NIGHT

The Flash’s in his eternal race.

And apparently he has been running for quite some time. His
suit is looser than before, Barry’s body is gradually
LANGUISHING.

EXT. ROOFTOP - RAY’S APARTMENT BUILDING - NIGHT

Ray Palmer stands on top of his building already suited up,

but with no cowl. He talks in his cellphone.

Below, a CROWD swarmed the fainted Giganta.

RAY
As I said, I’m fine. Do not worry.

He glances at his shoulder - still hurt by the shot, but he

uses a sling to support his arm.

RAY (CONT'D)
I promise I’ll find out what’s
going on.

CAPTAIN MARVEL (O.S.)

Professor Palmer.

Ray turns around to Captain Marvel, who lands on the roof

with an almost unconscious Superman in his arms.

RAY
I have to go, honey. I love you.

He hangs up and approaches Marvel.

RAY (CONT'D)
Jesus Christ -- What happened?

CAPTAIN MARVEL
Metallo. He fired a bullet of
Kryptonite. Unfortunately I not
arrived in time to prevent him.

So we can not waste time.

CAPTAIN MARVEL
You can not reduce your size and
remove the bullet from him here?

RAY
The bullet got straight in the
chest, may be on the verge of
heart. Any sudden movement I can

Hawkman and Hawkgirl flap their wings rapidly. In the

distance: the Hall of Justice.

HAWKMAN
There it is. We gonna find Red
Tornado and head to Superman’s
Fortress then.

But before they could reach the headquarters -

- KA-BOOM! THE HALL OF JUSTICE EXPLODES.

Hawkman and Hawkgirl jerk back with the explosion shock, but
they stabilize and take a look at the disaster.

HAWKGIRL
Oh no...

HAWKMAN
(beat)
We arrived late... but we don’t
have time to mourn. We need to
keep moving.

Shiera sadly nods. It’s true and she knows that. No choices,
Hawkman continues his way.

Hawkgirl still gazes a second for one last time the building
now on fire. Then she flies away.

INT. BATCAVE - NIGHT

Wonder Woman emerges from the small lake inside the cave and
lands. Apparently there is no one there besides the flying
bats.

She walks down still suspiciously, looking around. No Batman

sign. She notes that all vehicles are in its due place.

WONDER WOMAN
Bruce. I know you’re there,
somewhere. Show yourself.

After a short beat:

BATMAN (O.S.)
Diana, are you all right?

Batman comes out the darkness. Wonder Woman turns to him.

WONDER WOMAN
Where did you get the coordinates
for that warehouse?

BATMAN
Red Tornado gave me. He said he
discovered a possible location to
find Aquaman.

WONDER WOMAN
There was nothing there but the
Cheetah. She tried to kill me...
and almost succeeded.

BATMAN
Do you think Tornado is deceiving
us?

WONDER WOMAN
We could ask him directly.

Batman nods. Both of them go to COMMAND CENTER of the cave.

Wonder Woman steps up to the main console.

BATMAN
Use the auxiliary microphone, it
is directly connected with the
Hall of Justice.

As she does it, Batman draws a kind of TASER GUN from his
belt, but much more powerful than a normal one.

WONDER WOMAN

Red Tornado, are you listening?

Behind her, Batman aims the taser. Wonder Woman, by her gaze,

As Batman fires, Wonder Woman spins and grabs the taser

wires, being ELECTROCUTED. But not powerful enough to affect
her.

Wonder Woman pulls the gun off Batman’s hands.

WONDER WOMAN (CONT'D)

You sent me to that place for me
to be killed by Cheetah, and have
destroyed the Red Tornado. Why?

BATMAN
It was my duty.

Batman whips out a couple of LAMINATED BATARANGS and CHARGES

Wonder Woman, ready to kill her. He swings his blades deadly,
but the Amazon defends herself with the bracelets.

Sparks fly. Batman acts like a machine, he doesn’t stop.

Wonder Woman does her best to not hit him mortally.

WONDER WOMAN
Stop! I don’t want to hurt a
friend.

Wonder Woman immobilizes Batman from behind.

WONDER WOMAN (CONT'D)

Red Tornado transferred all his
data to the network before you
destroy his body. Your mission is
failed.

Batman blasts a SMOKE BOMB that makes Wonder Woman loose him.
He goes to his desk get more weapons, but the LASSO OF TRUTH
shoots out the smoke and wraps him. Batman tries to escape
but in vain.

WONDER WOMAN (CONT'D)

You’re not the same man I knew, I
demand that you speak the truth. I
demand that the real Batman to
rule now.

The Dark Knight starts to SQUIRM as he falls on his knees, as

if he were in conflict within his own body.

Moments later, he sudden STOPS. Wonder Woman stares, waiting.

WONDER WOMAN (CONT'D)

Bruce?

BATMAN
Forgive me, Diana, I was not in my
full control.

She relaxes. Her friend returned to normal.

WONDER WOMAN
We need to get out of here. The
entire League was the target of a
collective attack, we will meet in
Superman’s Fortress of Solitude.

BATMAN
All right.

WONDER WOMAN
But first we need to find Green
Lantern. No one had heard from him
yet.

Wonder Woman is about to pick up her lasso back but Batman

stops her.

BATMAN
I think I’ll have to keep this.
Whatever is controlling me, your
lasso is the only thing that
leaves me sane.

Wonder Woman nods.

WONDER WOMAN
So let’s rescue Hal.

BATMAN
I will track down the power of his
ring. We’ll find the exact point

EXT. NEVADA DESERT - NIGHT

CAMERA PANS across the sand, rocks and slopes, just to FIND -
Green Lantern lying motionless on the ground.

Full of bruises on his face and body.

INT. WILL MAGNUS’ WORKSHOP - NIGHT

Doctor Magnus finishes making the last repairs on an old

ANDROID BODY lying on a table, which has a tangle of wires
plugged to it coming from the computer.

MAGNUS
I think it’s all set, Tornado.
When you want.

RED TORNADO
(on computer)
Starting data transfer.

Red Tornado begins to transfer himself to the artificial

body. SUDDENLY - A FLASH OF PURPLE LIGHT inside the workshop.
Magnus looks around to ZATANNA, the sorceress.

ZATANNA
Forgive me if I frightened you,
doctor.

MAGNUS
No way, my dear. Thank you for
hearing my call.

ZATANNA
I am always available for when the
League needs.
(re: the android)
Who is he?

MAGNUS
The future Red Tornado. I had to
use some old robot body to serve
to him. Long history.
(then)
I think we’ll need a ride of your
spells to go to a place.

Zatanna nods.

EXT. ARCTIC CIRCLE - DAWN

The night is giving way to day. Captain Marvel lands on the

ice, with Superman in his arms and Atom - miniature - feeling
cold on his shoulder.

Atom jumps off Captain Marvel’s shoulder coming back to his

normal size.

CAPTAIN MARVEL
Hang on, Superman. We are almost

They spot something beyond the camera that makes them

THUNDERSTRUCK.

THE ATOM

REVERSE ANGLE REVEALS to us -

THE FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE. The safest place on the planet. And

in front of the great gate lies a MASSIVE GOLDEN KEY - the
size of a ship - on an ice rock.

SUPERMAN
You can do it, Billy... you have
the power of the gods...

Captain Marvel places the Man of Steel carefully in the snow.

Atom approaches Superman to watch Marvel heading to the big
golden key. He stops a moment to contemplate it.

Then he moves to underneath the key and starts to LIFT it

from the rock, above his head, using all his mighty like an
Olympian weight lifter.

Atom and Superman witness the hero flying with that huge
object towards the gate’s lock.

EXT. NEVADA DESERT - NIGHT

Wonder Woman’s Invisible jet soars over the desert. The

cockpit opens revealing the Amazon in the controls and Batman
in the back seat - with the lasso wrapped around his body.

BATMAN
He is here, somewhere.

Wonder Woman slows down. They seek around the desert, looking
for some signal of Green Lantern. Moments later, a little of
hope.

BATMAN (CONT'D)
Over there!

Wonder Woman turns the aircraft to where Batman points.

WONDER WOMAN
Great Hera.

She directs the jet next to Green Lantern, who is completely

unresponsive. The invisible jet hangs in the air as Wonder
Woman leaps from aircraft to go to him.

Wonder Woman crouches beside Green Lantern taking him in her

arms. Then she hears a heartbeat... a relief.

WONDER WOMAN (CONT'D)

(to Batman)
He’s still alive!
(to Green Lantern)
Come on, Hal, wake up.

And THEN -

- A DEEP BREATH. Green Lantern exhales a breath of life.

Wonder Woman gives a pleased and relieved smile.

GREEN LANTERN
D-Diana...?

WONDER WOMAN
Yes, it’s me. Let’s get out of
here.

INT. BRAINIAC’S HIDEOUT - NIGHT

The place is dark, large as a warehouse but with no sign of

life, probably abandoned.

The tranquility is broken by a flickering burst of light, a

rip in the air. It’s a PORTAL.

Out that fissure, Dr. Magnus, Zatanna and Red Tornado - in

his old-model body - appear. And the portal closes.

ZATANNA
The coordinates are correct,
Tornado?

RED TORNADO
Yes. All those fish point to this
particular spot on the globe. He
has to be here.

MAGNUS
Let’s search.

As they walk down, they notice several ANIMAL CORPSES - most

apes, some HEADLESS.

ZATANNA
What unhealthy place.

MAGNUS
Whoever took Aquaman he was
searching for something, not just
to kill him.

ZATANNA
We still have hope, right? I mean -
- the fishes would not be
directing this place if he were
dead.

RED TORNADO
Maybe it’s a response to the last
of the king’s desire. There is no
way to be absolutely sure.

MAGNUS
There is another door over there.

INT. SURGERY LAB - BRAINIAC’S HIDEOUT - NIGHT

The three enter the lab where Brainiac did his experiments,
but he’s not there. The whole place is dark as the rest.

MAGNUS
Zatanna, please some light.

Zatanna raises her hands glowing in magic.

ZATANNA

And in a blink, the entire lab gets lit. Only then they come
across a body lying on the operations table - AQUAMAN.

ZATANNA (CONT'D)
Oh God...

Red Tornado and Doctor Magnus approach. We don’t see the

Aquaman’s head, just dry blood splattered on the table and
splashed on the floor.

MAGNUS
Poor Arthur.

ZATANNA
What they did to him, Dr. Magnus?
What they did to his brain?

EXT. SKY - NIGHT

As Hawkman and Hawkgirl make their way through the skies,

another familiar voice sounds in their comms:

GREEN ARROW (V.O.)

Anyone copy?

HAWKGIRL
Oliver? Thank God you’re alright.
What about Dinah?

GREEN ARROW (V.O.)

She’s okay. We are all fine. We
were attacked by Clay Face in our
own home.

HAWKGIRL
We too -- all the League was
attacked, but we are regrouping.

HAWKMAN
Oliver, we are heading toward our
Thanagaryan ship. We’ll reunite at
the Fortress of Solitude.

GREEN ARROW (V.O.)

So I think we need a ride.

INT. FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE - DAWN

Inside that VAST ATRIUM, Captain Marvel feels quite lost and
impressed at the same time. Hundreds and hundreds of feet
high.

He gapes at towering STATUES of JOR-EL and LARA-EL -

Superman’s parents. Positioned one facing each other with
outstretched arms holding the PLANET KRYPTON together.

CAPTAIN MARVEL
(almost a whisper)
Wow.

Marvel back to reality after hearing the Atom returning to

his normal shape. He heads up to Superman, who lies on a
metal table.

The Atom stands next to the table with the Kryptonite bullet
in his hand.

CAPTAIN MARVEL (CONT'D)

You did it?

THE ATOM
I did my best not to leave any
residue of Kryptonite in his body.

Superman tries to get up, a little better but still weak.

Captain Marvel rushes to support him.

CAPTAIN MARVEL
Easy, easy, you still need time to
recover fully.

SUPERMAN
Not necessarily. Take me there...

Superman points to a large metal door across the room.

CAPTAIN MARVEL
What’s in that room?

SUPERMAN
The solar chamber.

Cap Marvel helps Superman to arrive at the room door.

In a heartbeat, The Flash zooms past several environments all

over the world. Forests, deserts, oceans, towns, the day
becomes night in seconds and vice versa.

INT. FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE - DAWN

As Atom changes his bandaged shoulder, a Zatanna’s portal

materializes in the room STARTLING Ray.

The brightness goes out revealing Zatanna with Will Magnus

and his METAL MEN, alongside Red Tornado holding Aquaman in
his arms.

MAGNUS
We need water, now.

EXT. OCEAN - NIGHT

Captain Marvel soars over the ocean. Below him, Flash races
past him through the water over and over again.

After a stop, Captain Marvel hovers a few inches off the

surface of the water, waiting.

CAPTAIN MARVEL
(to himself)
You can do it, Billy.

In the horizon, a WATER WHIRL incoming. The Flash. Captain

Marvel sighs and gets ready for that.

When it seems that they will collide...

CAPTAIN MARVEL (CONT'D)

SHAZAM!

... Captain Marvel GETS HIT BY A MYSTIC LIGHTNING BOLT at the

right moment that Flash matches him.

KA-BOOM! We lost sight of the two heroes in the water

explosion.

The Flash shoots out the water curtain, BOUNCING across the
sea surface until finally stop.

He wafts motionless on the water.

Not far from Flash is Billy Batson also floating in the

water. As he spots the Speedster...

BILLY
Shazam!

... ANOTHER LIGHTNING BOLT strikes Billy, turning him into

Captain Marvel again.

He flies up to Flash and takes him away.

THE FLASH
(dazed)
Billy...?

CAPTAIN MARVEL
(smiling)
Let’s get you something to eat and
regain your strength, Barry.

EXT. ARCTIC CIRCLE - DAY

The invisible jet lands on the ice. The cockpit opens and
Wonder Woman hops out with Green Lantern in her arms,
followed by Batman.

Her skin is more damaged than before. The poison still runs
in her body, but she doesn’t give up. They head toward the
Fortress.

INT. TECH ROOM - FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE - DAY

Atom, Zatanna, Dr. Magnus, Red Tornado and the Metal Men
watch Aquaman inside a cylindrical WATER TANK. He’s fully
submerged but still unconscious.

Moments later, Wonder Woman and Batman walk in the room.

RAY
Diana!

But as soon as Red Tornado eyes Batman there, he ADVANCES

lifting the Dark Knight by the throat, slamming him against
the wall.

WONDER WOMAN
Tornado, wait!

ZATANNA
What he is doing?

RED TORNADO
He is a traitor. It was Batman who
destroyed my former body to keep
me to say the location about
Aquaman.

RAY
What?

BATMAN

cuts in frontal lobe indicate that

ZATANNA
There were several primates in
that bizarre laboratory. Most with
the brain dissected too.

RED TORNADO
Probably these operations in
primates were only a preparation
to have done this to Arthur.

MAGNUS

between these two worlds.

GOLD - leader of Metal Men - takes a step forward.

BLACK CANARY

GREEN ARROW
What we do now? We ring the giant

HAWKMAN
Let’s hope that already has

Suddenly - FWOOSH! - A SNOW CLOUD swirls around them.

THE FLASH (O.S.)

When the dust settles, they come across with The Flash, good

THE FLASH (CONT'D)

The others smile. Captain Marvel appears overhead.

INT. FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE - LATER

CLOSE ON GREEN LANTERN’S EYES: Totally opaque. Batman

analyzes them with a flashlight.

GREEN LANTERN
Nothing. Only a small light away
but nothing more.

The other heroes are scattered around the place. Most of them
recovering and resting.

BATMAN
Sinestro had every opportunity to
kill the person he most hates in
the galaxy, but still left you
alive.

GREEN LANTERN
I was not the real problem of
Sinestro, but the ring. If a Green
Lantern die, the ring goes in
search of another nearby carrier.

BATMAN

Superman and Metallo’s fight. Lois just stares.

Then she sights JENNY, a young reporter leaving the lift.

Lois rushes up to her.

LOIS (CONT'D)

League. It’s like all the heroes

... A MASSIVE BLACK SPHERE HANGS OVER METROPOLIS.

Similar to what we saw on the seabed, the size of a small

town, hanging silently as a natural satellite.

EXT. METROPOLIS - DAY

People stop what they were doing to face the big sphere above
them, transfixed, as we HEAR:

LUTHOR (V.O.)
The Heroes that you idolize are no
longer here. You call for a
minimum of their help and they do
not match. But we do.

INT. CONFERENCE ROOM - OFFICE BUILDING - DAY

In another country, people in that room approach slowly to

the windows, staring out as if hypnotized. In the reflection
of the window we see the black sphere UNDER:

POISON IVY (V.O.)

This world is already infected by
impurity their mistakes. But we
did our own world. A new home for
a new beginning for those who
deserve a second chance.

EXT. JUNGLE VILLAGE - DAY

A group of excited children run together. They stop, staring

at another black sphere hovering above them, smiling.

DAVID (V.O.)
Come, accept our supplication.
Accept this world for you, your
children, your grandchildren.

A world without violence, disease

EXT. ARCTIC CIRCLE - DAY

An ATLANTEAN SUBMARINE emerges through the surface of the ice

near the Fortress of Solitude.

INT. FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE - DAY

The Justice League assembled at a large table - less Red

Tornado - discussing:

SUPERMAN
Luthor has his own gang now, so we
can not be precipitated. We must
act with caution or we’ll lose
again.

MAGNUS
There is still one behind the
abduction of Aquaman. Sure Luthor
is involved, but I doubt he has
done that surgery.

BATMAN
There is someone we have not seen
yet.

At this moment, J’onn and Mera materialize through the

Fortress wall thanks to the Martian’s intangibility.

to her as she and J’onn land.

INT. TECH ROOM - FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE - DAY

PUSHING IN ON Aquaman, still motionless in that tank. CLOSE

IN on his closed eyes.

A beat.

SUDDENLY -

- his eyes SNAP OPEN. Full of rage.

INT. FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE - DAY

Wonder Woman tries to console Mera.

GREEN ARROW
That makes no sense. Why would
they want Aquaman’s son?

MAGNUS
Maybe who did research in Arthur’s

wanted. Maybe he wants to look for
a less complex mind.

BATMAN
Flash and I were controlled
somehow without so we can see. If
we attack without preparation,
someone else can be controlled.
This is a considerable risk when
you have someone like Superman and
Marvel close.

I could see nanotechnology inside
the body of Batman, the brain of
the Green Lantern and the nervous
system of Flash.

THE ATOM
Maybe Captain Marvel’s mystical
lightning has probably caused a

later, the Martian’s eyes SHINE - their minds are linked.

Batman steps forward for Green Lantern. He aims his ring in a

slight shake, trying to focus his mind.

And several GREEN micro-fibrous SURGICAL PROBES with PINCER

ENDS are snaking of his ring. Right over Batman’s body.

J’ONN
Thinner, Hal.

So Green Lantern do, each probe candidly reduces its

thickness and size.

GREEN LANTERN
I got it all?

Superman uses his x-ray vision.

SUPERMAN
I don’t see any missing.

BATMAN
Go ahead.

Then - SHRGG! - Green Lantern’s probes enter Batman’s body.

J’onn guides the operation with his Martian vision.

J’ONN
A little closer to the center, but
not so deep.

Batman flinches. He tries to overcome the intense pain.

Moments later - Green Lantern retracts the probes. Batman

drops on his knees. Flash uses his super speed to get him.

THE FLASH
Are you all right?

BATMAN
Better than before.

He stands and unwraps the Lasso of Truth around his body.

BATMAN (CONT'D)
(hands the lasso to
Diana)

GREEN LANTERN
I think I’m next in line.

J’onn remains where he is. Green Lantern creates an energy

MIRROR in front of him. The probes emerge from the ring
again, this time around his own head.

THE ATOM
Hal, this is very risky. If I
reduce my size, I can...

J’ONN
There are many of these things,
Ray. We need to do this fast.

Green Lantern sighs and finally - enters the probes in his

head, through the nose and ears, mainly. His whole body
squirms as J’onn tries to hold him.

BLACK CANARY
What should we do?

BATMAN
Just wait.

When it seems that Green Lantern will collapse, suddenly all

the pain stops. He falls to the floor leaning on his hands.
The others don’t know if it worked or not.

Then Green Lantern rises looking down at his hands, and

happy. His eyes returned to normal.

GREEN LANTERN
I... I can see.
(to J’onn)
Thank you.

Superman approaches and helps Hal to get up.

SUPERMAN
Good job, Hal.

BLAM! They hear a door slamming hard. Everyone turns around

to find AQUAMAN, joining to the team.

Mera’s the first to reach him.

MERA
Arthur! I’m so happy to see you
live!

AQUAMAN
I felt you so much, Mera.

MERA
Arthur... our son, he was taken.
Black Manta took him, I could not
do anything.

Aquaman remains silent, but his eyes tell everything. He

walks up to the conference table.

AQUAMAN

kidnapped?

J’ONN
Yes, Arthur. I was there when this
happened. Unfortunately, I was too

An old and messy place. Sitting on the couch, Captain Cold

wipes his ice gun. Lying on the coffee table, a pile of
MONEY.

FWOOSH! Flash arrives in the apartment as an instant

hurricane, blowing the money away. Captain Cold takes aim
with wide scared eyes.

THE FLASH
Oh, Snart, you should learn to
change your hiding places.

CAPTAIN COLD
You... you... how...

In a heartbeat, Flash DRAGS SNART IN SUPER-SPEED.

We STAY ON Captain Cold all the way as everything around him

is just an UNDEFINED BLUR - impossible to tell where they are
going.

In a matter of seconds, we’re back in the...

INT. FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE - CONTINUOUS

A bit dizzy by that instant trip, Snart recomposes himself

realizing that he is among the entire Justice League.

CAPTAIN COLD
(nervous)
You... all you should be dead...

THE FLASH
It’s a shame to disappoint you.
Someone is qualified to question
him?

AQUAMAN
I will.

But Superman grabs his arm.

SUPERMAN
You are in no condition, Arthur.
We want to question him, not kill
him.

CAPTAIN COLD
Com’on, Flash, I tell everything

THE FLASH

Batman begins to drag Captain Cold across the room by the

collar.

CAPTAIN COLD

INT. HALL OF DOOM - DAY

ALL THE VILLAINS gathered at the semi-round counter: Metallo,

Bizarro, Poison Ivy, Black Manta, Grodd, Sinestro, Giganta,
Cheetah, Toyman android and Clay Face - in his human shape.

Luthor stands at the center filling his glass of champagne.

When finished, he raises the glass as a celebration.

LUTHOR
For our planet, our people and
destinations. We came out
victorious today and that a new
era begins.

All others also cheer and drink their champagne.

Brainiac leaves from behind the curtains with Arthur Jr. in

his arms - the child uses an ELECTRONIC CROWN similar to the
devices in Brainiac’s forehead. He just watches the others.

Luthor turns to him.

LUTHOR (CONT'D)
Will not you celebrate, too?

BRAINIAC
You know I do not.

Brainiac moves away from the others. Luthor glares,

suspicious.

BRAINIAC (CONT'D)
(to Arthur Jr.)
I just will celebrate when I
finally do not have to put up with
more accidental organic lives.

(raises the baby)

EXT. OCEAN - DAY

Something big comes to the surface slowly - the great dome

from seabed proves to be also a black sphere which EMERGES
FROM UNDERWATER, rising up.

INT. FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE - DAY

ANGLE ON: AN ANT-SIZED ATOM, analyzing one of NANO-WORM

damaged in a table. Superman, Flash and Hawkman watch.

THE FLASH
So... this thing was inside me?

THE ATOM
Yes, but it were damaged thanks to
Billy. You are not at more danger.

HAWKMAN
What is it exactly?

THE ATOM
All I can say is that this thing
is alien, probably creation of
Brainiac.

SUPERMAN
There were several of them inside
Batman before Green Lantern
destroyed them all. Certainly it’s
not the only ones of Brainiac.

THE ATOM
From what I see, these creatures
operate in harmony with one mind.
They are machines limited for
independent operations.

THE FLASH
So there is a kind of “master”
controlling all of it?

THE ATOM
Probably.

ON J’ONN AND ZATANNA -

He’s connected with Zatanna’s mind. Moments later, he ends

the connection.

ZATANNA
You saw everything?

J’ONN
Yes. Why Brainiac would work
analyzing all these brains?

A door whooshes open. Batman leaves the room, and we have a

fast glimpse of Captain Cold in there - passed out on the
chair.

GREEN ARROW
It took longer than I thought.

BATMAN
He did not stop stuttering.

WONDER WOMAN
What you discovered?

All they prepare to hear Batman.

BATMAN
It started with a dream. All the
villains who attacked us had the
same dream several times, and
ended up interpreting it as a
vision. And in that dream, the
world was destroyed by super-
beings... us.

THE FLASH
What?

THE ATOM
This can only be a lie, we protect
the world. How could they share
something like that?

BATMAN
They all believe in the dream and
want to save humanity from us to
govern what is left in new cities
created by Brainiac.

BLACK CANARY
So wait... Luthor and Brainiac are
really doing a good thing?

BATMAN
No. They’re just taking advantage
of the suffering and pain of
humanity to benefit themselves. As
a reward, they make money, power
and respect.

GREEN LANTERN
And while all those people healed?

Aquaman stops a moment.

Mera approaches and touches the hand of her husband tenderly.

Brainiac... where is he?

BATMAN
Leonard said that they would all
reunite in one of the cities. The
first formed on the ocean floor.

J’ONN
I know where it is. It was there
where they almost killed me.

THE ATOM
But the fundamental question is
how we face an enemy that can not
feel or see? Not everyone has a
super-vision to see this
nanotechnology.

MAGNUS
As professor Palmer said, the
worms are controlled by a master.
If we interrupt his signal with
this nanotechnology, we end up
with all of it.

CAPTAIN MARVEL
But the ring of the Green Lantern
can take care of those things,
isn’t it?

GREEN LANTERN

nanotechnology and destroy it, but

Red Tornado comes from a video room.

I bring bad news. Several
countries have warned that a “huge
black sphere” is hovering over
their cities and abducting people.

Abducting?

BATMAN
The cities. The spheres are the
cities.

AQUAMAN
That means it’s time to act. No
more waiting.

MAGNUS
Flash, we will need your super
speed to build the armors.

THE FLASH
All right.

SUPERMAN
Brainiac and the others managed to
turn us into villains over the
last few days. According to them,
we are the evil of the world, the
real villains. Now it’s time to we
prove if they are wrong or right.
(beat)
All depends on us now. We will
give our best and there will be no
turning back.

BEGIN MONTAGE:

Over many hours, doc Magnus, Ray Palmer and Flash work
together. Flash uses his speed mounting several parts in
seconds; Magnus and Ray remain focused on every detail, we
see them taking apart pieces of Thanagaryan and Atlantean
material to build something new.

INT. BATCAVE - DAY

Batman and Zatanna emerge from a magical TELEPORT. He strides

up to a secret door in the cave.

After entering the code, the door slides open revealing the
BAT-ARMOR - red and black. Something quite threatening.

CUT TO:

SUITING UP MONTAGE

Which each image showing some members of the team wearing

their armors, all in close up shots.

- THE FLASH... covered by the Metal Man MERCURY leaving him

with the fully protected metal body.

- GREEN LANTERN... with Metal Man IRON in a black armor and

green FLUORESCENT LINES around his body.

- AQUAMAN... with his dark-green Atlantean armor. He grips

his golden trident.

- THE MARTIAN MANHUNTER... makes his body produce a SCALE

LAYER that lets him isolated from any external threat.

- WONDER WOMAN... puts a warrior HELMET covering all her

face.

- BATMAN... activates his mechanical wings.

- SUPERMAN... clenches his fists, fills up the chest. His

whole body is covered by LEAD - another Metal Man.

EXT. FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE - DAY

The massive front doors open slowly, as if in slow motion.

Then a movement in the shadows, someone approaches. Or
rather, several people approach:

THE JUSTICE LEAGUE.

Walking out the Fortress as true gods, with gleaming armors

under the sunlight. They are ready to fight back, as a team.

EXT. CAIRO - DAY

SUPER: “CAIRO, EGYPT”

Something contrasts directly with this place: one of the

black spheres it’s hanging above the city, in silent.

EXT. UTOPIAN CITY - DAY

Flying over that metropolis, similar to New Colu with

futuristic design buildings. An ideal city within the sphere.

EXT. UTOPIAN CITY STREETS - DAY

We follow an EGYPTIAN WOMAN walking down the sidewalk through

more people. Unlike as we saw the first time, now the city
has life. A new community.

EXT. PARK - UTOPIAN CITY - DAY

The woman comes in a beautiful park full of trees and a lake

in the center. Children play with their families.

The Egyptian woman watches everything with a slight smile on

her face.

She anchors in one of the trees and only now see her
PROSTHETIC forearm, thanks to Toyman. She feels in the
paradise.

INT. HALL OF DOOM - DAY

With Grodd and Giganta, apart from the others.

GRODD
These humans are pathetic
celebrating like that, so soon.
They are primary, arrogant... but
at the same time are unpredictable
and thus difficult to realize
their true intentions.

GIGANTA
You suspect them?

GRODD
I always suspect everyone.

From Grodd we CRANE UP high - until we look straight down on

the room with someone else here:

THE ATOM, using a high-tech armor like an astronaut flying in

miniature around the whole hall.

THE ATOM
(into comm)
Attention, they are all gathered
here. It’s a true meeting of
celebration. I see many of these
Brainiac’s mechanical worms in the
air, spread.

He looks around and sees Brainiac with Arthur Jr. showing him
the city through the window.

THE ATOM (CONT'D)

I located Aquaman’s son. He is
with Brainiac. Time to act.

ON LUTHOR -

Drinking champagne. When he finishes the drink, steps closer

to Brainiac.

LUTHOR
Everything is going as planned.
Nothing will stop us now.

BRAINIAC
A world without the Justice
League. Finally you get, Luthor.
Your dream was realized.

ON GRODD -

As he FEELS something strange, something that disturbs his

mind in that moment.

GRODD
No... no... it cannot be...

The others villains also notice the gorilla’s strange

attitude.

SINESTRO
Grodd?

GRODD
They are here!

After hearing something with his super-hearing, Bizarro

shatters his glass with a sudden hard grip.

Before anyone else could do anything -

- BOOM! THE JUSTICE LEAGUE EXPLODES THROUGH THE ENTRANCE

DOOR!

The villains hurry out the table and gather in the center of
the hall, facing off the Justice League standing at the other
end of the room.

BEAT as both groups stare at each other.

Luthor and Brainiac hide behind the villains team.

LUTHOR
(shouts)
Kill them all!

Right after that words, everyone in both gangs CHARGE

straight into each other.

And THEY COLLIDE.

Instantly, a lot of things happen at once:

Captain Marvel takes Bizarro away in flight; Superman

struggles with Metallo; Wonder Woman fights Cheetah; Batman
slices Poison Ivy’s vine tentacles; Aquaman attacks Manta;
Hawkman and Hawkgirl battle Toyman; Green Arrow and Black
Canary onslaught Clay Face; Green Lantern duels with
Sinestro.

Giganta GROWS into her giant shape and tries to crush Wonder
Woman with her hand. But the Amazon draws her sword and jabs
Giganta’s palm.

Giganta retreats as Captain Marvel rockets past behind her

with Bizarro, through the ceiling leaving the hall.

ON AQUAMAN AND BLACK MANTA -

The villain fires his energy blasts, but the King of Seven
Seas EVADES skillfully. He spots over Manta’s shoulder
Brainiac running with his son.

AQUAMAN
Arthur!

BLACK MANTA
You will only get him if you pass
by me.

AQUAMAN
You will not get between me and my
son, Manta.

With fire in the eyes, Aquaman LASHES OUT with his trident.

ON GREEN LANTERN AND SINESTRO -

In a mid-air battle. Sinestro uses a huge energy machete and

Green Lantern, a sword.

GREEN LANTERN
You left me dying in that damned
desert!

SINESTRO
This time I’ll kill you!

Green Lantern kicks Sinestro’s chest and goes after him, as

CAMERA PANS TO -

THE FLASH, IN SLOW-MOTION

Running through the chaos. For him is as if everything had

FROZEN in time. Moving across the fights at super-speed,
dodging Giganta’s feet. He sees Grodd holding J’onn by his
neck, helpless.

Flash changes his route toward Grodd, jostling the gorilla

with his own body away from J’onn.

BACK TO NORMAL SPEED as the Speedster sends a FAST PUNCH

COMBINATION into Grodd - fists pounding like a blur.

But he doesn’t realize the Toyman android coming from behind.

It shoves Flash off Grodd, sending him through the window of
the building.

J’onn uses his telepathy:

J’ONN (V.O.)
Hawkgirl, Flash fell from the
building.
 112.

ANGLE ON: HAWKGIRL, as she notes the broken window and flies
away to reach Flash in time.

ON THE ATOM -

Still in his miniature form, fights against Brainiac nano-

worms using his own hands to destroy them.

One of them tries to attack Atom from behind, but the hero
DECREASES more his size and GETS IN the worm to disrupt it
from the inside out.

ON SUPERMAN AND METALLO -

Swapping heavy blows. Metallo’s Kryptonite is exposed, but

Superman’s armor prevents him from suffering the effects of
radiation.

METALLO
Hiding with this lead armor will
not save you forever, Clark!

Metallo headbutts Superman pushing him BACK.

ON BATMAN AND POISON IVY -

The Dark Knight is tied in Poison Ivy’s vines that stretch

from her foliage outfit.

Batman positions his suit TURBINES in the right spot and

FIRES them, BURNING the vines around his body.

POISON IVY
No! My Children!

WHAM! Cheetah SLAMS IVY OUT THE WAY, who was thrown from
another fight, paving a way for Batman.

ON RED TORNADO -

Probing around Giganta using his wind power. But Giganta

notices him and hits Tornado with her massive fist, smashing
him into the wall.

EXT. SKIES ABOVE NEW COLU - DAY

Miles up the city, Captain Marvel - fully coated by Gold - is

locked in a CLOSE-RANGE AIR BATTLE with Bizarro.

As both fight, they constantly bump into the HOLO-PANELS on

the ceiling of the sphere, damaging the holograms that
display that perfect blue sky.

Captain Marvel hustles Bizarro meters away and BOOSTS

straight after him. The hero joints his hands over his head
as Bizarro spins wildly through the air, and...
 113.

... brings them down like a hammer, smashing Bizarro so hard

that sends him DOWNWARDS fast, crashing into a building.

INT. SEWERS - NEW COLU - DAY

Under the streets of the city, Green Arrow, Black Canary and
Zatanna walk down together.

BLACK CANARY
How long do you think they will
realize that we are not really
there?

GREEN ARROW
I don’t know, so we need to be
quick. Are you sure about the path
to the source, Zatanna?

ZATANNA
Yes, my magic found a great source
of energy below this artificial
city.

The three of them enter a maze of concrete tunnels. As they

go deeper, the walls around them show electronic veins and
wires that spread like roots.

GREEN ARROW
It’s getting hot.

Green Arrow prepares an arrow. They head to the end of the

tunnel, and what they see was not what they expected.

BLACK CANARY
Jesus.

REVERSE ANGLE -

What they see it’s a BRAINIAC SOCIETY congregated in the core

of New Colu’s underground. It is a control center, replete of
Brainiac ANDROIDS - perfect replicas of himself.

There is a bustling activity like a beehive here - the

hundreds of androids working and walking everywhere.

And in the center of that place, sitting in a high-tech

chair, is one of the Brainiacs. This one with dozens of
cables plugged into its head in a constant state of
connection.

INT. HALL OF DOOM - DAY

Back to chaos. The entire room is about to be obliterated by

the battle.
 114.

ANGLE ON: AQUAMAN, as he receives a punch from Black Manta,

which knocks him down. He glances back and sees Brainiac
running with his son.

BRAINIAC
Black Manta!

Manta turns and follows Brainiac out that hall. Aquaman

climbs to his feet and chases the villains.

ON HAWKGIRL AND THE FLASH -

Both emerging from the broken window, with the winged heroin
holding Flash by his arms.

HAWKGIRL
We need to take Giganta out here.

THE FLASH
I think I have an idea.

Hawkgirl only nods. So she drops Flash back to battle. The

Scarlet Speedster RUNS through the walls to the ground again.
FOLLOWING Flash as he talks:

THE FLASH (CONT'D)

Mercury, I need you to do this.

MERCURY
Are you sure? You Will be
unprotected after that.

THE FLASH
We have no choice.

Flash begins to circle Giganta’s feet at top speed as Mercury

DETACHES from his body on the way. And thanks to his
elasticity, Mercury fastens Giganta’s legs with his own body.

When the giant woman realizes that, it’s too late. Gradually
she loses her balance because she can’t move her feet.

Red Tornado seizes this moment and PROPELS himself toward

her, shoving Giganta hard enough to make her tumble back
slowly.

ON LUTHOR -

Behind the counter protecting himself. He notes that the

fight is not totally in his favor, so he tries to teleport
away with his personal device, but -

- Batman surprises him in time upon the counter. Luthor tries

to run, but Batman drops him with a kick.

BATMAN
(walking toward Luthor)
How could you do this, Luthor? You
are also human.

LUTHOR
I thought that with your
intelligence you would see that
I’m saving humanity, Bruce. The
history will prove that. Until
then, I’ll be far away.

Luthor presses the button on his belt to teleport, but

nothing happens. He presses more times but it seems broken.

LUTHOR (CONT'D)
What the hell...?

Suddenly, Luthor gets hit in the CHIN by something we don’t

see. He falls flat on the ground.

Atom grows to his normal size, revealing that he knocked out

Luthor in his tiny shape.

BATMAN
Well done, professor Palmer.

EXT. NEW COLU STREETS - DAY

Brainiac leaves the building accompanied by Black Manta and

his men.

BLACK MANTA
If you had let me stay longer with
Aquaman, I would have killed him.

BRAINIAC
Forget your ridiculous personal
vendetta. The baby is our priority
here, he is the key to everything.
(beat)
I need you to take him to Toyman’s
city. We will meet there. Use my
teleport in underground.

THEN -

- Giganta BLASTS through the Hall of Doom’s building wall,

LANDING HARD on the street.

EXT. OVER NEW COLU - DAY

A little above the buildings, the combat between the Lanterns

rages. Sinestro fires a VOLLEY of energy blasts as Green
Lantern shields himself with his Iron protection.

GREEN LANTERN
I hope he’s not bothering you so
much, Iron.

SINESTRO
Come on, Jordan, get off this
armor and face me!

Sinestro creates a huge SPIKED HAMMER. Green Lantern makes a

giant BATTERING RAM. Both attack at the same time with their
weapons, SHATTERING ONE INTO THE OTHER.

Thousands of bits of solid green and yellow energy rains down

the sky like shiny glass flakes.

INT. HALL OF DOOM - DAY

We have a glimpse of the green and yellow energies of the

Lanterns shining in the sky through a hole in the ceiling.

Grodd turns to Clay Face, who fights Platinum and Tin, both
are shaped exactly like Black Canary and Green Arrow.

GRODD
Clay Face, what you think you’re
doing? The Queens are in the
sewers!

CLAY FACE
What?!

Furious, Clay Face pushes away the two Metal Men with his
clay jets. Then he moves like a living mud toward the real
targets.

J’onn appears behind Grodd trying to immobilize him with his

arms. The gorilla reacts but J’onn is strong.

J’ONN
You need to stop with this, Grodd,
Brainiac will betray all you!

Grodd ignores J’onn’s words and elbows him away.

ON THE FLASH -

During his run, he feels a sharp pain in his brain and falls
to the ground, squirming. Hawkman lands beside him, worried.

HAWKMAN
What happened?

Flash only responds with painful groans. Atom appears in his

normal form near them.

HAWKMAN (CONT'D)
Ray, what’s happening to him?
 117.

THE ATOM
Without Mercury protection, Flash
was exposed to nano-worms of
Brainiac. I need to destroy it
inside him. Cover us.

Atom shrinks, now entering Flash’s body through his nostrils.

On top of the Man of Steel, Metallo PUMMELS him with punches.

Left-right-left-right. Superman's head snap back and forth.

Then he PLUNGES his fingers into the lead armor, opening a

RIP by force.

METALLO
Come on, Superman, are you afraid
of a pebble?

When Metallo manages to rip the lead armor chest, he doesn’t

find the classic “S” under the suit but a YELLOW LIGHTNING -
IT’S CAPTAIN MARVEL!

METALLO (CONT'D)
Oh shit.

Captain Marvel UPPERCUTS Metallo so full-forced hard that

EJECTS him high into the air. As Metallo flies up...

... Hawkgirl’s flapping in his direction and BASHES METALLO

sorely with her mace, throwing him to the end of the hall.

Captain Marvel and Hawkgirl’s eyes meet and they share a nod.
Good job.

ON WONDER WOMAN AND CHEETAH -

In a deadly duel. The armor of the Amazon is already full of

scratches from Cheetah’s claws.

WONDER WOMAN
I do not want to have to kill you,
Priscilla, stop!

CHEETAH
I’ll stop when you’re dead!

Cheetah’s claws make sparks as Wonder Woman parries her

blows. Cheetah jumps for an ultimate attack, but Diana
crouches and lets Priscilla misses over her.

Cheetah rolls close to the hole that Giganta made when she
fell out of the building.

The fragile floor beneath Cheetah’s feet COLLAPSES and she

falls out of the building.

WONDER WOMAN
No!

Without thinking twice, Wonder Woman runs to the wrecked

piece of the hall and jumps after Cheetah.

EXT. BUILDING - DAY

They DROP. Cheetah just waits for her death. Wonder Woman
comes in her way like a torpedo. Both are closer to the
ground, Wonder Woman makes her best to be faster.

Seconds before Cheetah hit the asphalt, Wonder Woman hugs her
in time and pivots her body for the ground, serving as a
human shield for Cheetah.

They SLAM into the street blowing a CRATER in the impact

site. Wonder Woman slips an unconscious Cheetah aside as she
catches her breath.

EXT. NEW COLU STREETS - DAY

In another part of the city, Red Tornado flies from behind

Giganta for a surprise attack as she fights Hawkman. When
he’s about to strike...

... Giganta realizes him in time and BACKHANDS Tornado with

her giant hand, throwing the android into a building.

Meanwhile, Superman and Bizarro rocket past above Giganta and

Hawkman.

ON SUPERMAN AND BIZARRO -

Flying among the buildings, exchanging blows. Bizarro punches

Superman’s chest, but he holds his fist close.

SUPERMAN
Now, Gold!

As a living sheet, Gold leaves Superman’s body and begins to

overlay Bizarro entirely.

He looses Superman trying to get rid of Gold.

GOLD
I’ll take care of him, Superman,
help the others!

SUPERMAN
Be careful, Gold.

Superman BANKS to another route. Gold TIGHTENS all over

Bizarro’s body more and more until he has trouble for
breathing.

Bizarro falls on the terrace of a building and collapses

asphyxiated thanks to Gold.

EXT. BUILDING ROOFTOP - NEW COLU - DAY

Lying on the floor, Flash’s body CONVULSES at super-speed. In

his face: agony.

INSIDE FLASH’S HEAD:

Through the blood, Atom makes his way in search of nano-

worms.

THE ATOM
Hold on, Barry.

INT. HALL OF DOOM - DAY

Still a little stunned, Luthor begins to regain his senses.

But at that moment, Batman hauls him to his feet.

Behind them, the fight continues with Toyman against Shazam

and Hawkgirl.

BATMAN

was going well, the way you
wanted, wasn’t it?

All of that information sets up in Luthor’s mind as a puzzle,

and his inner anger only grows.

BATMAN (CONT'D)
He made you as a mere puppet. Now
help me to return what Brainiac
did, or by chance you’ll let him
take the whole world? Your world?

Off Luthor’s look, making a decision:

CUT TO -

Captain Marvel, hitting the ground after a Toyman’s attack.

As the hero gets up, ready to fight back, he feels a sharp
PAIN in his head that makes him fall on his knees.

As happened with Flash, the nano-worms in the air entered

Marvel’s body. He grabs his head, struggling to keep himself
in control.

And Hawkgirl realizes that. She pushes Toyman away and heads
up for Captain Marvel.

HAWKGIRL
Billy!

But Marvel does not seem to listen to his mate, he suffers

with clenched teeth.

HAWKGIRL (CONT'D)
Billy, you need to be strong now.
Do not let these things dominate
your min --

Captain Marvel interrupts Hawkgirl gripping her throat, he’s

now almost controlled. Hawkgirl’s about to die choked.

INT. NEW COLU UNDERGROUND CENTER - DAY

An entire HORDE of Brainiacs advance like a wave.

On the catwalk, Green Arrow fires his special arrows. Black

Canary unleashes her SONIC CRY. And Zatanna uses her magic to
make several androids come into combustion.

But the number of enemies is too much. Green Arrow aims in

the central Brainiac in its chair and fires an arrow.

The arrow makes its perfect course, but before it can hit the
goal, one of the androids sacrifices putting itself as the
target saving the source Brainiac.

GREEN ARROW
Shit! Those bastards will never
let me hit that thing.

ZATANNA
Maybe you need a little more help.

Green Arrow got the message. He prepares another arrow and

aims carefully.

BLACK CANARY
Ollie, they are getting closer!

GREEN ARROW
No hurry, honey. No...
(fires it)
... hurry.

The arrow flies past over the Brainiac horde. Another android
plans to do the same as the other, but this time...

ZATANNA
Egdod!

... with Zatanna’s magic words, the arrow magically makes A

CURVE DODGING THE ANDROID, going directly into the source in
the chair EXPLODING IT.

GREEN ARROW
Hell yeah!

BLACK CANARY
Let’s move!

The three back through the tunnel that they came as the
explosion consumes all the main console.

INT. HALL OF DOOM - DAY

Suddenly, Captain Marvel looses Hawkgirl. She falls to her

knees catching some air. Billy backs to normal.

CAPTAIN MARVEL
My God... Shiera, are you okay?
Forgive me, I could not control
myself.

He helps her to stand up.

HAWKGIRL
It’s all right, Billy. It’s all
right.

They turn to the Toyman android, already severely damaged.

HAWKGIRL (CONT'D)
Let’s just finish with that son of
a bitch.

Marvel nods and both of them proceed to assault.

ON J’ONN AND GRODD -

They grabbed each other hands measuring forces, in a

deadlock.

J’ONN
You need to understand... Brainiac
want you under his control.

GRODD
Keep speaking, Martian. I want to
hear your screams as I break you.

J’ONN
Maybe some images can make you
realize for real.

J’onn uses his intangibility to move through Grodd’s body to

behind him, then he touches Grodd’s head and connects him
with his mind.

QUICK INSERT: Grodd has FLASHES of images from Brainiac’s lab

where he sees all those gorillas killed in experiments.

When J’onn ends, Grodd calms down. He realizes what Brainiac

was doing.

J’ONN (CONT'D)
Brainiac did that with some of
your people trying to find a form
to control you. Don’t allow this
to continue.

Off Grodd’s stare, considering:

EXT. NEW COLU STREETS - DAY

Giganta’s about to crush Red Tornado with her hands until the
Toyman’s body CRASHES through the building right above her.
Without thinking twice, she raises her hand to catch it. Red
Tornado seizes the moment to escape.

She flings Toyman away. Hawkman joins Tornado.

HAWKMAN
How do we bring her down?

Giganta walks toward the double, but she suddenly STOPS - as

if something had held her feet. She looks down and notes
Wonder Woman holding her with the Lasso of Truth wrapped
around her legs.

WONDER WOMAN
Guys, it’s now or never!

Hawkman and Red Tornado fly in parallel toward Giganta as she

is focused on the Amazon Princess. And when she realizes the
other two, it’s too late...

... BAM! THEY STRIKE GIGANTA’S CHIN AT SAME TIME IN MID-

FLIGHT.

Her head tilts back.

Thanks to the tied feet, Giganta loses her balance and falls
back like a building, hitting the ground with a big impact.

This time she will not wake up anytime soon.

INT. SUBWAY TUNNEL - NEW COLU - DAY

Green Lantern and Sinestro CRASH DOWN through the ceiling

onto the ground.

Sinestro stands with a chainsaw made of energy about to slash

Jordan. The saw rubs in the iron armor of the Green Lantern
erupting sparks.

With both feet, Hal pushes Sinestro backwards.

SINESTRO
Come on, get out of there, or do
you think you’re worth nothing
without this ring?

GREEN LANTERN
(rising)
You can leave now, Iron.

Iron detaches from Green Lantern’s body leaving him

completely unprotected. Sinestro stands up as Hal REMOVES his
green ring, dropping it away.

GREEN LANTERN (CONT'D)

Let’s see who comes out victorious
this time, Sinestro. No ring, no
powers.

Sinestro also removes his ring with a sadistic smile on face.

SINESTRO
I will make you regret that
decision, Jordan.

Green Lantern CHARGES. Now the two fight without magic

lights, just the old-fashioned punches and kicks.

Green Lantern slams Sinestro against the wall, BEATING his

ribs. But Sinestro holds Lantern’s head pressing his eyes
with his fingers.

Quickly, Hal KNEELS Sinestro’s stomach twice and breaks free

off Sinestro’s hands.

Sinestro ROUNDHOUSES KICK Jordan, but our hero COUNTERS and

CLUTCHES Sinestro’s leg, bringing him to the ground.

Now Green Lantern has the lead. He sits on top of his foe,
POUNDING Sinestro’s face with rage. At every hit, he barks:

GREEN LANTERN
Never... go back... to my...
sector!

Green Lantern gives the last punch making Sinestro spit out a
tooth with blood. He stops, breathing hard.

SINESTRO
Congratulations, Jordan, you got
it... got your revenge.

GREEN LANTERN
No, not revenge. It is justice.

Sinestro calls his ring mentally to his hand. But before the
yellow ring reaches its owner - Iron TREADS ON SINESTRO’S
HAND with all his strength, and his ring lands on the ground.

Sinestro CRIES OUT, grabbing his broken hand.

IRON
Sorry, but someone needed to watch
your back.

Green Lantern thanks with a slight smile.

INT. SEWERS - NEW COLU - DAY

Green Arrow, Black Canary and Zatanna stop at a certain point

of their escape.

BLACK CANARY
I think we’re at a safe distance.
Get us out of here, Zatanna.

As Zatanna gestures to evoke her magic, Green Arrow notices

something in the tunnel.

BLACK CANARY (CONT'D)

Oliver?

GREEN ARROW
We have another visit.

THEIR POV: At the end of the tunnel, a CLAY MASS ripples fast
toward them - CLAY FACE. He moves as a wave of mud and clay
covering the entire diameter of the tunnel.

They are about to leave, but Green Arrow is out of the

portal’s range.

ZATANNA
Arrow, what are you doing? I can’t
teleport you if you are not in
range of my magic.

GREEN ARROW
I just need a minute. I brought
something special to him.

He draws from his quiver a specific arrow. He was saving that

one for this specific time and prepares it with no hurry.

GREEN ARROW (CONT'D)

(whispers)
Never touch my wife again, you son
of a bitch.

Green Arrow FIRES.

As the arrow hits Clay Face, it bursts into a COLD VAPOR - it

was an arrow of LIQUID NITROGEN - and gradually the villain
FREEZES until turns into a massive ICE BLOCK.

Then Green Arrow goes back to the girls. On the other end of
the tunnel, the robotic army of Brainiac approaches.

ZATANNA
Teg tou fo ereh!

And in a blink, all three disappear in a flash of light.

EXT. BUILDING ROOFTOP - NEW COLU - DAY

Back to Flash. His eyes are closed. Is he okay? Moments

later, Atom back to his normal size besides him with a nano-
worm in his hand. He notes Flash still unconscious.

THE ATOM
Come on, Flash.

Atom attempts to wake him.

THE ATOM
Come on, do not let me down now.

Then, Flash suddenly JOLTS wake up coughing hard. Atom

breathes a sigh of relief.

THE FLASH
Damn. It’s everything alright?

THE ATOM
I think so.

EXT. MEADOW - NEW COLU - DAY

An open wide field on the outskirts of the city. Aquaman,

determined, finds Brainiac alone in the field staring at him.

AQUAMAN
Brainiac!

BRAINIAC
Aquaman, I’m glad you joined me.

Aquaman pulls out his helmet.

AQUAMAN
You should have let my family out
of this, Brainiac. Know that there
is no forgiveness for you now.

BRAINIAC
Do not you realize, Aquaman? I’m
making your child on something
else. Soon he will be beyond you
organic, he will be more... me.

AQUAMAN
You sick bastard!

BRAINIAC
I could not unravel your psychic
power, Aquaman, but your child
will be easier. We will make the
perfect and unified psychic
network.

Aquaman goes BERSERK toward Brainiac ready to kill him.

Brainiac opens his arms calmly. The five red-led balls in his
head SHINE intensely, as if activating something.

Aquaman hoists back his arm to throw his trident, but - BLAM!
- the ground around Brainiac BLOWS UP DIRT several times in a
row, opening a crater.

All the BRAINIAC ANDROIDS erupt out the underground. The real
Brainiac disappears among the other clones. There are
hundreds of drones gathered in one place.

Every Brainiac android move toward Aquaman in unison.

But the king of Atlantis will not give up. He remains in the
same place, gripping the trident firmly, ready for battle.

When it seems to be Aquaman’s ultimate end...

... A COUPLE OF ARROWS whiz past Aquaman’s head hitting two

androids ahead. He turns around and finds the JUSTICE LEAGUE
behind him.

Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Zatanna,

The Flash, Atom, Red Tornado, Cap. Marvel, Green Lantern,
Hawkgirl and Hawkman. All rally around Aquaman to face that
challenge.

SUPERMAN
You need to be careful, Arthur.
Brainiac will transform what you
feel for your child in a weakness.

AQUAMAN
It will never be a weakness for
me, Superman. Only more strength.

RED TORNADO
I can detect Brainiac’s primary
system in that crowd.

SUPERMAN
You will guide me and Aquaman to
the true Brainiac, Tornado. The
rest of you already know what to
do.
(beat)
Shoot down all of them.

Superman carries Aquaman into the air following Red Tornado

while the rest of the team assail the Brainiac horde.

ZATANNA
Nrut otni enots!

An entire row of Brainiacs turn into STONE STATUES in a snap.

Flash rushes crumbling that statues in pieces.

Hawkman and Hawkgirl land in the middle of the horde SPINNING

their wings fast, CUTTING OFF limbs and heads of some
androids.

Green Lantern pilots a 30-FEET MECHA created by his ring,

smashing the androids like insects as Black Canary screams
around him destroying the robots with her sonic waves.

ON SUPERMAN, AQUAMAN AND TORNADO -

Flying over the war right below them.

AQUAMAN
Any sign of him?

SUPERMAN
Nothing.

RED TORNADO
He’s down there!

Red Tornado dives. The same does Superman.

INT. NEW COLU UNDERGROUND CENTER - DAY

Superman, Aquaman and Red Tornado pass through the same hole
that the androids did to leave. There they find the true
Brainiac next to the teleport machine, setting something.

AQUAMAN
(angry)
Where is he? What did you do with
my son?!

SUPERMAN
It’s over, Brainiac. You know we
will destroy all those robots.

BRAINIAC
Yes, I know. They are serving the
purpose of distraction while I’m
leaving.

When Brainiac turns to the three, the teleport machine

explodes turning into just junk. Superman DASHES at super
speed and grasps Brainiac by his collar.

SUPERMAN
You will not go anywhere.

BRAINIAC
You’re right, because I’m already
there.

Brainiac sudden SHUTS OFF. It’s as if he had been pulled from

the socket, now he’s just a lifeless robotic body.

Superman drops the body, confused. Red Tornado steps closer

analyzing Brainiac.
 129.

SUPERMAN
What happened to him?

RED TORNADO
He’s not here anymore, Superman.
Brainiac transported his primary
system to another place, or
another body.

Aquaman crushes the head of the body with his foot.

AQUAMAN
Damn it! We can not lose him now,
he’s still with my son.

SUPERMAN
We will not. Tornado, can you
track him?

RED TORNADO
Sorry, but with this limited body
my radar doesn’t have a reach that
far.

Superman pauses and thinks.

SUPERMAN

Zatanna.

EXT. MEADOW - NEW COLU - DAY

In the middle of the battle, Zatanna hears:

ZATANNA
I’m here, Superman.

SUPERMAN (V.O.)
We need you down here, fast.

ZATANNA
I’m on my way.

INT. NEW COLU UNDERGROUND CENTER - DAY

Seconds later, Zatanna joins the three men in a magic pass.

SUPERMAN
Brainiac was transferred to
another body. We need to go where
he is.

Zatanna crouches beside Brainiac. Her hands glow magically as

they pass around the robotic body. Her eyes are closed,
concentrated.

Then -

ZATANNA
I found something.

AQUAMAN
Lead us to him.

Zatanna raises her hands conjuring another spell. The three

men surround her.

ZATANNA
Wollof mih!

An intense glow pulsates from Zatanna’s hands, dazzling our

eyes momentarily. When the light dissolves, they are GONE.

EXT. CAIRO - DAY

Establishing.

EXT. SKYSCRAPER ROOFTOP - UTOPIAN CITY - DAY

Another burst of light brings Zatanna, Aquaman, Superman and

Red Tornado to that place.

AQUAMAN
Where are we?

RED TORNADO
In one of Brainiac’s cities that
he spread around the world.

ZATANNA
It’s a big city. Where do we
start?

Superman steps at the edge and gazes.

CLOSE ON HIS EYES: He analyzes each part of town with his X-

RAY VISION. Then he’s surprised after seeing something.

SUPERMAN
Oh God.

AQUAMAN
What? Do you found him?

SUPERMAN
No, but I found Toyman. He seems
to be in control of this city.

J’ONN (V.O.)
Superman. Arthur.

INT. HALL OF DOOM - DAY

The Metal Men transformed themselves into CELLS to imprison

all defeated villains. Most of them fainted.

Grodd - arrested by Gold - is concentrated, as if he had

using his psychic powers. J’onn just watches and keeps
talking mentally with the other four in another city.

J’ONN (V.O.)
Grodd agreed to cooperate. He’s
looking for Arthur Junior on the
planet.

PUSHING IN ON DEEP into Grodd’s face, taking us to -

P.O.V.: UTOPIAN CITY - CONTINOUS

- MOVING over the city, pasting buildings, houses, entire

blocks, until we spot in the center of the city Black Manta
with baby Arthur, flanked by Manta’s thugs.

INT. HALL OF DOOM - DAY

Grodd opens his eyes.

GRODD
He’s in downtown of the city with
Black Manta.

EXT. SKYSCRAPER ROOFTOP - UTOPIAN CITY - DAY

They hear Grodd:

GRODD (V.O.)
They are going to a research
center.

SUPERMAN
I’ll stop Toyman, you already know
what to do.

Superman LEAPS INTO THE SKIES, flying away.

AQUAMAN
(to Zatanna)
You can put me where Black Manta
is?

Zatanna nods.

INT. HALL OF DOOM - DAY

Grodd turns to J’onn.

GRODD
It’s done. And the deal...?

J’ONN
Of course. When all this is over,
you can return to your city.

INT. TOYMAN’S CONTROL ROOM - DAY

Two Brainiac androids monitor the entrance door. Then, we

hear an intense FIGHTING noise outside. Shots. Metal
breaking. Sparks.

Suddenly - Superman CRASHES through the door. That two

androids advance for him. Superman uses his SUPER BREATH to
fling the first android into wall, destroying it.

The second android sends a right hook, which SHATTERS its own
hand as it hits the Man of Steel. Superman just rips the
machine head off its body with a single movement.

He walks up to behind Winslow, who sits in his chair facing a

bank of monitors which display various parts of the city.

WINSLOW
You have no right, Superman. This
world is ours and you are the
visitor. Your control over the
world brings destruction.
(beat)
I saw it in the dream. I saw.

Winslow whirls to Superman revealing that his body is TURNING

INTO A MACHINE - his gaze is cold. There are wires and
circuits coming out of his skin. The process is still in the
way. Winslow’s look is almost like a zombie.

SUPERMAN
No, Winslow. We will save the
planet from you, from Brainiac. No
matter what you have dreamed.

BRAINIAC (O.S.)
Kal-El...

Superman spins around on alert, but in fact, Brainiac’s voice

comes from the head of one of the androids he destroyed in
the room.

BRAINIAC (CONT'D)
(over android)
I asked myself when we finally
would talk.

Superman picks up that android head.

SUPERMAN
I saw what you did with Toyman. I
thought your nanotechnology was
useless after Green Arrow destroy
their control center.

BRAINIAC
(over android)
He managed to stop me from
controlling the user, but the
process of mechanization is
independent.

SUPERMAN
Mechanization? It’s turning
everyone into machines like you?
Why?

BRAINIAC
(over android)
You and I have similarities,
Kryptonian. I also lost my people
and I am using the earthlings to
make them rise again. The New
Colu.

SUPERMAN
You’re turning those people into
mechanized beings. It’s killing
them.

BRAINIAC
(over android)
Killing is an unfair word. Look at
them... so fragile and sensitive.
I am doing a favor for those
people. I’m making them something

SUPERMAN
So why put Aquaman’s son in all
this?

BRAINIAC

With the child I can expand his
powers to control the most
powerful telepathic mind of the

besides a faulty mechanism.

SUPERMAN
Grodd. So you joined him. I will
not let you finish this plan.

it is worth spending it saving
these people?

Huffy, Superman SQUASHES the android head with his hands.

RED TORNADO (V.O.)

Superman, Zatanna located a
possible place where Brainiac is.

SUPERMAN
I’m on my way.

Superman looks one last time at Winslow and flies off.

EXT. DOWNTOWN UTOPIAN CITY - DAY

Black Manta - holding the baby - walk down the street with
his men.

AQUAMAN (O.S.)
Manta!

Manta turns and sees Aquaman across the street.

AQUAMAN (CONT'D)
I came for my son.

BLACK MANTA
(to his men)
Kill him.

Black Manta’s men charge simultaneously. Aquaman runs toward

them without fear.

Using his rage as an ally, Aquaman fights all the men

wielding his trident. Several them are hurled by the power of
the hero, but he also gets various hits.

Gradually, Aquaman’s armor shatters with the blows he

receives. But the King keeps struggling.

He gets hit by a plasma shot from Black Manta’s gun. Aquaman

falls to the ground. The civilians around watch horrified.

Some Black Manta’s men haul Aquaman by his arms. Black Manta
approaches him.

BLACK MANTA (CONT'D)

Nothing would bring me more
pleasure than to kill your son
here and now, but Brainiac still
has plans for him.

AQUAMAN
Do not worry, Arthur... everything
will be alright...

Manta smashes Aquaman in the face.

BLACK MANTA
But to my luck, he has no plans
for you. What means...

He points the barrel of his gun at Aquaman’s face.

BLACK MANTA (CONT'D)

... you’re mine.

Black Manta is about to blow up Aquaman’s head, but before he

can pull the trigger - a soda TIN hits his head. He turns
around and sees civilians on the sidewalk throwing garbage at
him.

CIVILIAN #1
Move away from him!

CIVILIAN #2
You said that there would be no
more deaths or conflicts!

The situation gets out of control. Soon all there on the

street are hurling objects at Black Manta and his men.

BLACK MANTA
Stop!

Manta shoots at the people, most of them run to escape.

While Black Manta falls back, Aquaman takes his son and hugs
him all the love he has there.

Black Manta tries to get up but Aquaman knocks him to the

floor with a kick that pops off Manta’s helmet.

BLACK MANTA (CONT'D)

I’ll kill you... I’ll still kill

AQUAMAN
I live under the sea. I rule a
kingdom that lives under higher
pressures than any human ability

CLOSE ON BRAINIAC’S FACE: Closed eyes. Red beads on his

forehead are off, he doesn’t seem to be “alive”. Suddenly,
his eyes snap open. The beads shine.

WIDER TO REVEAL -

He’s in a lab. When Brainiac wakes up, he looks around

wondering the environment.

LUTHOR (O.S.)
I was anxious waiting for your
arrival.

Brainiac turns to Lex Luthor, sitting in a chair.

BRAINIAC
Luthor? This is not the body that
I chose to come.

LUTHOR
I know. I modified the schedule of
one of your bodies to draw you to
it. That is, this here.
(beat)
I knew you would betray me,
Brainiac, but did not know you
would be so stupid to do it so
soon.

BRAINIAC

Me and Batman built a device that
blocks your network signal. You
will stay exactly where I want.

Brainiac strides toward Luthor, but the wall behind him

explodes - Superman, Zatanna and Red Tornado appear in time.

LUTHOR (CONT'D)
The Humanity will not die today
because of Lex Luthor.

Superman freezes Brainiac’s body using his ICE BREATH and

lets him stuck there.

LUTHOR (CONT'D)
I think you deserve a moment alone
with Brainiac.

Luthor triggers his teleport belt, but before he can get

out...

ZATANNA
Rothul pots!

... Zatanna’s magic words disable Luthor’s teleportation. He

remains where he is.

SUPERMAN
Nice try.

Superman pushes Luthor lightly, but with his super strength

he flies back and hits the wall, passing out in the process.

Then he leans closer to Brainiac.

SUPERMAN (CONT'D)
I confess that for a moment I
thought we were going to lose the
war, which you finally would win.
But even though I was mistaken.
Beings like you could never keep a
group together. Even without the
League, you would all kill each
other.

BRAINIAC
Your sermon is insignificant to
me, Kryptonian. If you want to
destroy me, go ahead.

SUPERMAN
Amazingly, you are still a living
organism and every living being
deserves the right to life... even
you. I will not destroy you, just
take care that you never cause

brings a CHIP from inside it - Brainiac’s memory chip.

ZATANNA

RED TORNADO
Brainiac’s memory chip. It’s there
where all his essence stays.

Superman also freezes the chip with his breath.

ZATANNA

SUPERMAN
(smiles)

EXT. MEADOW - NEW COLU - DAY

CAMERA PANS across the wreckage of thousands Brainiac

androids to find the Justice League, resting after a long day
of fighting. Now with J’onn and Batman there too.

Then Zatanna, Red Tornado, Aquaman and Superman return with

Luthor passed out on the shoulder of the Man of Steel.

After the others realize their arrival, they gather. A moment

of relief and celebration.

INT. BATCAVE - DAYS LATER

In TV news montage about the Justice League and the black

spheres around the world, we see various reports of what
happened through several monitors.

ON ONE MONITOR: Footage of the Justice League pulling

citizens from the spheres of Brainiac around the world.

REPORTER #1 (V.O.)
-- all persons were removed from
what we were told as a “New Eden”,
but it was all a plan to...

On another monitor, thousands of people are gathered as Green

Lantern uses his ring to clear their bodies of nano-worms.

-- thanks to the Justice League,
infected people were cleared of
Brainiac’s alien technology.

EXT. BEACH - THEMYSCIRA - SUNSET

The Justice League stand on an energy platform created by

Green Lantern. All watch below in the sand -

QUEEN HIPPOLYTA - with her daughter Diana, lying in her lap.

However, with the poison already in the advanced stage, the
heroine is no longer recognizable. Her skin is almost pure
clay.

HIPPOLYTA

guided my hand, Athena. I ask you

ON THE JUSTICE LEAGUE FACES: All of them anxious and worried.

No one is sure of what can happen.

Tears stream down Hippolyta’s cheeks. She prays as he had

never prayed before. Moments later, there is a MOVEMENT IN
THE SAND.

WONDER WOMAN rises from her clay grave back to her normal
appearance. The Queen’s prayers were answered. She picks up a
sheet from the hands of an Amazon warrior and goes to cover
her daughter.

Diana looks up and sees her friends, all celebrating.

EXT. HALL OF JUSTICE - DAY

We focus on Superman, Flash and J’onn walking down on the

sidewalk.

THE FLASH
So where is Brainiac now?

SUPERMAN
In a very secure vault in Fortress
of Solitude. He will stay there
for a long time, believe me.

THE FLASH

of cleaning, J’onn?

J’ONN
Zatanna is handling the matter.

INT. TOWER OF FATE - DAY

Cheetah, Luthor, Winslow, Grodd, Giganta, Bizarro, Black

Manta, Captain Cold, Sinestro, Riddler, Metallo and Poison
Ivy. All side by side stuck magically thanks to DOCTOR FATE.

He and Zatanna use their magic to manipulate the mind of each

villain. They are in a trance, almost hypnotized.

J’ONN (V.O.)
I asked the Doctor Fate to give
support to nothing go wrong. They
are doing their best not to move
too much in the minds of criminals
and delete only what matters, our
secret identities.

EXT. HALL OF JUSTICE - DAY

Back to the three men.

THE FLASH

Then they stop and gaze beyond the camera.

REVERSE ANGLE REVEALS to us -

heroes. They help with their respective skills and gradually
the building is taking back its original form.

INT. BATCAVE - DAY

Before the bank of monitors, sits Wayne. On each screen shows

the image of the cells of Riddler, Poison Ivy, Black Manta,
Captain Cold, Luthor and Toyman in a hospital room.

Alfred arrives in the scene.

ALFRED
I suppose that everything has
returned to its normal state, sir.

WAYNE
Luthor and others are in jail.
Brainiac is trapped in an ice
fortress. The League’s
headquarters is under
reconstruction and will soon
return to work.
(beat)
Yes, I think everything is normal.

ALFRED

darkness, master Bruce. No matter

WAYNE

toward the yellow sun, leaving us only with this natural
