1. Derive the equation of continuity for two dimensional flow in polar coordinates by
equating the net efflux from a small polar element to zero.
2. From the continuity equation in polar coordinates, derive the Laplace equation in the
same coordinate system.
 

4. For the stoke’s stream function   9r 2 sin 2  find velocity potential  in Cartesian
coordinates.
