Matching Alphabet Letters

The teacher wanted to incorporate a hands-on activity to reinforce kindergarten students' learning of letters and sounds. The planned activity involved students matching uppercase and lowercase letters, placing them in a butterfly to reveal a corresponding picture, and answering questions about the letters. The teacher would use questioning and peer interaction strategies to engage the students in exploring letters and sounds through this matching activity.

1. Questions- I will be asking multiple questions to the
children to see what they understand, and what we need
to work on. By asking question I will be able to create
future plans that will help the children continue to
enhance their knowledge.
2. Telling, Explaining and Informing- The students will be
able to learn from one another by helping each other
when needed, as children learn best through social
interaction. In this activity the children will be able to tie
real life experiences and be involved rather than just
listening.
