Topic: Verbs with prepositions, verbs starting with re-, and some words with more than one meaning (Unit 6 Vocabulary)
Aims: widen students vocabulary, practice using the learned words.
Assumed knowledge: the majority of the students have already passed an intermediate language exam B1 level.
Anticipated problems: students may confuse the meanings of some words teacher clarifies. Unknown words
vocabulary.

I read the instructions to the students and ask them to
think about verbs followed by the preposition on.
Viable answers: focus, elaborate, concentrate, etc.
After that, I distribute them into four groups (based
on sitting order) and students of each group have to
complete one of the four parts of task B. We check the
answers afterwards.

I give the students 5 minutes to complete task C of the
Students Book. When they finish, we check the
answers. Then I ask them to complete Vocabulary
Task A in the Workbook. They have 3 minutes, and we
check the answers when they finish.

we check the answers as soon as they finish. I also ask
them for the difference in the meaning of the two
words given in each sentence.

I play a video on words with multiple meanings and
ask the students to count, how many of the four

loudspeakers the video is over, I ask them about the number of their
mistakes.
