that we can surpass this storm! Oh
Venus, the goddess of love! Help us
get through this!
Narrator: Venus, the mother of
Aeneas and the goddess of love, also

seas, Im begging. Can you please
calm your waters, for my family and
their warriors are sailing.
Narrator: And then, Neptune talk to
Aeolus, he said that the winds and
storms unleashed by Aeolus were
already out of bound. The sea was

finally calm. ------ The Trojans, carried

by the storm, found Carthage.
Unfortunately, Anchises died before
they got to Carthage.
[2nd Scene: The Carthage]
Narrator: As the Trojan reach the
Carthage, Venus begged Jupiter, King
of Gods, to end their suffering. Jupiter
told Venus the consequences and
promises that should be done as he

Trojans with hospitability.
Aeneas: *talking to the Trojans* I lost
my father, we lost many of our fellow

long way to go.

mighty and brave Aeneas. Im so
delighted and glad to meet you, the

Aeneas: Your highness, thank you for
accepting us here in your city. Were
here to ask something. We need to
find our fellow Trojans who were lost
by the storm and we need aid for
some of the wounded warriors and our

damaged ships. We are so grateful to

be here.
Dido: We can talk about that later.
Would you like to call all the Trojan
leaders and dine with me at my place?
Aeneas: Sure, your highness. We will
come.

(Voice over) Mercury: (suddenly

appeared) Aeneas! This is not the
thing that is destined for you as the

believe this! But I must obey the
prophecy. Yes, I will leave for Italy.

obey he prophecy, but how? How am I
going to tell this to Dido? I love her but
I have to follow the gods and the
prophecy.

disguise, Cupid inflames the queens
heart with passion for Aeneas.
Dido: (with love in her eyes) Aeneas,
the mighty hero, could you please the
whole story of you unfinished
adventure?
Aeneas: If you say so. Heres what
happened

queen suspects his ploy and confronts
him.

Why! Why are you doing this?! Are you
trying to steal my honor?! My power?!
How dare you?!
Aeneas: I love you, Dido. Some
feelings are only meant to be felt. And
some things are just not meant to be.
Im sorry, Im sorry if going to do this.
But I must, I must follow the prophecy.
And I sail for Italy not of my own free
will.

without hesitations. And the brokenhearted Dido writhes fierce love and
bitter anger.

build me a great fire in the
courtyard!!!
Alone at the courtyard
Dido: (crying and throwing Aeneas
clothes and everything that reminds
her of Aeneas)I cant believe you! I

cant believe you, Aeneas! Why did

you leave me?! Why?! Maybe, I will
get rid of you if I will get rid of these
stupid things that reminds me of
you!!! Youve never loved me, didnt
you?! I have loved you to the great

me?! Whyyyy??!! Maybe I shouldve

but must first visit the underworld so I
could speak to you more.

Aeneas: Everyone! Buckle yourselves

up! For we are going to our
destination! Our real destination! But
before that, I have decided that the
wounded and old warriors will not join.
You will all remain here, for your own
safety. This is it!

the underworld. I really need to talk to
my father.

theres a sign if you are really destined
to travel there. You need to find a
golden branch, as the token, and if
this branch breaks easily from the
tree, fate calls you to go there, and if
not, Im really sorry, but I will not take
you there.
