Grievance Mechanism Report Submission

This memorandum requests that Schools Division Superintendents submit a report by July 22, 2016 containing verified information on their division's grievance mechanism. The report should include: 1) the number of schools with and without grievance committees, 2) the average number of grievance promotional activities schools conducted in the last 2 years, 3) the number and types of grievance promotional activities the division office conducted in the last 2 years, 4) the types of grievances usually filed by teachers, and 5) the number of grievances settled in schools and the division office in the last 2 years. ON GRIEVANCE

In line with the provision of DepEd Order No. 35, s. 2004, entitled Revision of the Grievance
Machineries of the Department of Education, and DepEd Order No. 15, s.2012 the Schools Division
Superintendents, through their respective Division Office Legal Officer/Legal Coordinator must
submit a report containing verified and genuine information relative to the following:
1. Number of Schools with and without existing grievance committee;
2 Average number of grievance mechanism promotional activities conducted by schools
over the last 2 years;
3. Number and title of grievance mechanism promotional activities/alternative
dispute
resolution activities conducted by the Division Office for the last 2 years;
4. List of grievances usually filed by teachers in schools and in the Division Office; and
5. Number of grievances actually settled in the schools and in the Division Office for the
last 2 years.
Moreover, a brief narrative as to what factors (process, people, resources, environment,
management, etc.) and how these factors in the Division Office contributes to and/or hinders the
achievement of the objectives of the DepEd Grievance Mechanism/ Alternative Dispute Resolution.
The desired information shall be considered for data purposes and policy formulation.
