From the Engineer-in-Chief (AW), Irrigation & CAD Dept., Lr.No.Rc/Enc/K2/14116/98, dt.1.11.2010. ****** O R D E R: The Finance (PRC.I) Dept. in their U.O.Note 1st cited have informed that the 9th Pay Revision Commission in its report at para 18.20 under ChapterVIII has recommended to confer the Gazetted Status to all Assistant Engineers working in all Engineering Departments in Government of Andhra Pradesh, from the time they join service and requested to take necessary action. 2. The Engineer-in-Chief (AW), Irrigation & CAD Department in his letter 2nd read above, informed that the matter regarding recommendation of the Gazetted status to the Assistant Engineers of all Engineering Departments has been placed before the Board of Chief Engineers which in its meeting held on 20-10-2010 after detailed discussion decided to recommend the Gazetted status to all the Assistant Engineers in all Engineering Departments. 3. Government after careful examination of the matter and based on the recommendation of the Board of Chief Engineers, hereby decided to confer the Gazetted status to all the Assistant Engineers working in all Engineering Departments in Government of Andhra Pradesh. 4. Accordingly, the Government hereby declare that all the Assistant Engineers working in all the engineering Departments of Andhra Pradesh, as gazetted officers from the time they join in service. 5. The Government further order that even after conferring Gazetted status to the Assistant Engineers as above, their promotion to the post of Deputy Executive Engineers shall be regularized as per the existing rules between the Assistant Executive Engineers and Assistant Engineers. 6. The Engineer-in-Chief (AW), Irrigation & CAD Department and all other Heads of the Engineering Departments shall send necessary proposals to amend the respective Engineering Service Rules keeping in view the above orders. p.t.o.
