Summary Storage and Mixing
Procedures
Store in dry and frost free conditions, off the
Ceramite T
ground in closed bags.
Ceramite should be stored at room
temperature (15-25C) for at least 2 days
before use.
An effective pan mixer is recommended.
Mix the dry castables for at least 1 minute.
The recommended amount of water is
typically 5-6% by weight.
Only potable water with temperature not
exceeding 25C should be used.
The total mixing time should be a minimum 6
minutes.
After trowelling, cover exposed surfaces to
minimize evaporation of water.
Allow to harden for 24 hours before putting in
operation, at lower temperatures, hardening
time should be increased.

Typical Applications:
Ceramite T
Elkem Materials Ceramite T: the premium
wear resistant material, with more than 25
years of performance in high temperature,
high strength and high wear resistance
applications has been proven to outperform
special steels, cast fused basalt, metal
castings, rubber and other state of the art
wear resistant materials.
Ceramite T dramatically reduces installation
time compared to wear resistant tiles and
has the added benefit of being a monolithic
structure, thus eliminating the joints which
are always the first areas attacked in
abrasive environments. Whether you are
repairing broken or missing tiles, or applying
Ceramite T over hundred of square meters,
Ceramite T's water only mix does not need
any additional chemicals or binders and can
be applied on wet or damp areas.
