Counseling Technique, 8. Ratio 9. Operation Level 10. Emotional Journey 11. Observation Summary Answer each of the statements by indicating one of the measurements 5 = Excellent, 4 = Above average, 3 = Average, 2 = Below average, 1 = Poor, NA = Not applicable). Any assessment shall be addressed under the observation comments.

SECTION III COUNSELING SKILLS

The counselors delivery of information was conducive to client successfully meeting their objective(s) or need(s). To maximize support for client objective(s) or need(s), the counselor encouraged the client to establish timelines and/or accomplish specific activities. The counselor used activities that supported the objective(s) and/or need(s). The counselor checked the clients level of understanding of what was being explained before moving on to the next topic. Explanations were clear and concise with important points emphasized. The counselor utilized a variety of advising/counseling methods to accommodate varied client learning styles. Recommendations and directions were clear and concise. The counselor utilized appropriate assessment tools to evaluate clients objective(s) and/or need(s).
