Academic Projects:
(1) Main Project Title: Seven-Level Shunt Active Power Filter for High Power Drive Systems. Technology: Mat lab & Simulink R2009a. Role: Designing Simulation Circuit. Description: In high-power adjustable speed motor drives, such as those used in electric ship Propulsion systems, shunt active power filters provide a viable solution to mitigating harmonic Related issues caused by diode or thyristor rectifier front-ends. In general, the more voltage Levels a converter have the less total harmonic distortion (THD), and it provides better power Quality. (2) Mini Project Title: DC motor speed control with PWM technique using IR remote. Technology: KEIL software, Microcontroller AT89C51. Role: Designing of receiver Section. Description: DC motors are applicable for effective speed control and high starting torque Applications like traction, lift, etc. According to this project the person who wants to control the Speed of DC motor is given with a remote. By pressing the keys available on the remote the Speed of the DC motor is varied by realizing the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technique. This is realized with the help of microcontroller.
