TERI has over 900 employees from various disciplines and experiences. It established the TERI University in 1998, which received deemed university status in 1999. TERI has a presence in North America, Europe, Japan, Malaysia and the Gulf. It conducts interdisciplinary project and research work related to energy, agriculture, biotechnology, telecommunications, and transport.
