Curly Brace (カーリーブレイス Kârî Bureisu) is the deuteragonist of Cave Story, who was also the game's third boss. She, like Quote, is a soldier robot who was sent to the Island to destroy the dark power hidden there. Like Quote, she can wield a wide variety of weapons without any special training, and can withstand incredible amounts of damage. Cave Story (Japanese: 洞窟物語, Dōkutsu Monogatari) is a freeware game released in 2004 by Japanese developer Pixel over the course of 5 years. It has gathered quite a large following and has been ported to the Wii-ware, Steam, DSi shop, Xbox, and 3DS.
