Deadlines

Complete, comprehensive disability documentation for College enrollment must be received by Disability and Access Resources in a timely manner. Although documentation will be reviewed on a rolling basis, we recommend students submit their documentation by the following deadline dates in order to ensure accommodations are in place by the start of the semester:

Autism College Exploration Experience (ACEE)

Students with autism spectrum disorders, and their parents/guardians, will obtain valuable information about post-secondary education and career exploration.

Hear Jay’s story as a major in Manufacturing Engineering Technology and meet his interpreter. Jay has the support he needs to seize career-defining opportunities. “This school is so great for deaf students,” he says. “It’s a wonderful hands-on experience.”

Mission

The mission of Disability and Access Resources is to find creative solutions by collaborating with administrators, faculty, staff, and students to develop an accessible and inclusive environment that embraces and celebrates diversity and empowers individuals to fully participate in all college programs, activities, and services.
Disability and Access Resources is committed to fulfilling this mission by:

  • Serving as an educational resource for the College and community transition initiatives.
  • Facilitating equal access through reasonable and appropriate accommodations.
  • Clarifying the rights and responsibilities of both the student and the College.
  • Promoting campus-wide disability awareness.
  • Empowering students to develop self-awareness and self-advocacy skills.
