The project includes construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Routes C and V and Route 160 in Butler County. This intersection is located west of the Route 160/158 interchange south of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Comments will be accepted through Sept. 24, 2024.

The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission has announced the selection of The Ames Team as the design-build contractor to replace the Chester Bridge. The bridge spans the Mississippi River, connecting the cities of Perryville, Missouri and Chester, Illinois via Missouri Route 51/Illinois Route 150.

As a main east-west corridor in Missouri’s Bootheel, U.S. Route 412 carries more than 6,000 vehicles a day. Currently, the existing four-lane upgrades end near Cardwell, Missouri, and U.S. 412 returns to a two-lane road. To plan for future capacity improvements, the Missouri Department of Transportation has launched an Environmental Study.
