Grayson Rodriguez, Jordan Westburg and Danny Coulombe, Orioles

Rodriguez has a mild strain of his teres major shoulder muscle, Orioles general manager Mike Elias said on Saturday. The right-hander will be shut down for 10 days and have more imaging done in three weeks. Elias said they're hopeful that Rodriguez will return in September.

Elias also said on Saturday that he believes that Westburg (right hand fracture) and Coulombe (left elbow inflammation) could both return “deeper into September.” More >

Ketel Marte and Zac Gallen, D-backs

Marte limped off the field in Saturday's game with an apparent leg injury after he tried to tag out Phillies catcher Garrett Stubbs at second base. Stubbs was sliding head first into second to beat out a double and he rolled up on Marte’s left ankle. Marte was later diagnosed with a left ankle contusion.

Gallen was removed from Saturday's start after 4 1/3 innings after he appeared to hurt himself trying to field a ground ball. More >

Mookie Betts, Max Muncy, River Ryan, Blake Treinen, Walker Buehler and Tommy Edman, Dodgers

Betts (left hand fracture) has been taking part in sim games this week and if all continues to go well, the Dodgers superstar will be back in the lineup for Monday's series opener against the Brewers in Milwaukee.

Muncy (right oblique strain) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday, playing six innings at third base and going 1-2 with a walk.

Ryan was removed from Saturday's start after 4 2/3 innings due to right forearm tightness. More >

Treinen (right hip discomfort) has continued to play catch and it is expected for him to only miss the minimum amount of time before returning from the injured list.

Buehler (right hip inflammation) made his third rehab start on Thursday and is now on schedule to pitch at some point in the series against the Brewers beginning on Monday, according to manager Dave Roberts.

Edman (right wrist surgery, sprained ankle) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday, going 1-3 and playing six innings at second base. More >

Justin Verlander, Astros

Verlander (neck stiffness) began his Minor League rehab assignment with Triple-A Sugar Land on Saturday night, throwing 52 pitches in a three-inning start. More >

Joe Ryan, Brock Stewart, Brooks Lee and Carlos Correa, Twins

The Twins placed Ryan on the 15-day injured list with a Grade 2 right teres major strain on Friday (retroactive to Thursday). It’s unclear at this point if he’ll pitch again this season.

Stewart is scheduled to undergo season-ending right shoulder surgery on Tuesday.

The club also placed Lee on the 10-day injured list with right biceps tendinitis on Friday (retroactive to Thursday). More >

Correa (right plantar fasciitis) started sprinting on Friday, though he said the heel still wasn't responding to sprints the way he would like. He will continue to push sprints in the following days to see how soon he can progress to a rehab assignment. More >

Julio Rodríguez, Mariners

Rodríguez (high right ankle sprain) went through running exercises for the second straight day on Thursday, which included running the bases. More >

Trevor Story, Tyler O'Neill and Liam Hendriks, Red Sox

Story (dislocated left shoulder) will take batting practice on the field on Monday and could return to play this season. He suffered the injury on April 5. More >

The Red Sox are hopeful that O'Neill (leg infection/illness) can return from the injured list at the 10-day mark, which would be Wednesday.

Hendriks (right UCL surgery) threw his second live batting practice session in his recovery from Tommy John surgery on Saturday. He threw 20 pitches. There's a chance Hendriks will need just one more BP session before starting a Minor League rehab assignment. More >

Jacob deGrom, and Nathan Eovaldi, Rangers

deGrom (right UCL repair surgery) faced hitters for the first time on Thursday in Arlington. Manager Bruce Bochy said his ace “felt good.”

Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Eovaldi left Game 1 of Saturday’s doubleheader against the Yankees after three innings due to right side tightness. More >

CJ Abrams, Nationals

Abrams is experiencing spasms in his upper back which cause discomfort when swinging. He felt tightness in Thursday's game and has been out of the lineup since Friday. More >

Trent Grisham, Clarke Schmidt and Jose Trevino, Yankees

Grisham left the opener of Saturday's doubleheader against the Rangers in the fifth inning after getting hit on the left hand by a pitch but X-rays came back negative.

Schmidt (right lat strain) threw 25 pitches to teammates in his second live batting practice session on Saturday. He will have another session on Wednesday and will throw around 30 pitches.

Trevino (left quad strain) is close to returning to big league action, but first he is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment on Sunday, according to manager Aaron Boone. More >

Hall (left knee sprain) is expected to be activated off the injured list and start Sunday's series finale against the Reds. More >

Hunter Harvey and Michael Massey, Royals

Harvey was placed on the injured list on Saturday with mid-back tightness.

Yoan Moncada, White Sox

Moncada (left adductor strain) is running but still kind of feeling something there according to interim manager Grady Sizemore. There is no certainty as to when or even if Moncada will suit up for the White Sox this season. More >

McLain’s recent setback in his efforts to return from left shoulder surgery -- a stress reaction in his rib cage -- has forced the club to scratch the start of his rehab assignment next week. More >

Ranger Suárez, Austin Hays and Taijuan Walker, Phillies

Suárez (lower back soreness) threw a two-inning, 36-pitch sim game on Thursday that went "extremely well," according to manager Rob Thomson.

Hays, who left Wednesday's game in the third inning with left hamstring tightness, was placed on the injured list on Friday with a hamstring strain.

Bo Bichette and Jordan Romano, Blue Jays

Bichette (left calf strain) and Romano (right elbow impingement, arthroscopic surgery) arrived in Toronto on Friday to check in with the club after rehabbing in Florida for the past few weeks. Manager John Schneider said that both are "progressing well," but neither has returned to baseball activities. More >

Mike Trout, Angels

Trout, who turned 33 on Wednesday, underwent a successful operation on his left knee on his birthday, the Angels announced Friday. It's the second surgery for Trout since he tore his meniscus on April 29 but he's expected to be ready for Spring Training next year. More >

Josh Lowe and Ryan Pepiot, Rays

Lowe (right knee contusion) left Thursday's game against the Cardinals after fouling a ball off of his knee in the top of the first inning. X-rays came back negative, and Lowe was able to pinch-hit Friday. He was back in the lineup on Saturday.

Pepiot (right knee infection) allowed one hit and two walks while striking out seven over 3 1/3 scoreless innings in a 69-pitch rehab start for Double-A Montgomery on Saturday. More >

Starling Marte, Mets

Marte (bone bruise) has played two games for Single-A St. Lucie, including five innings in right field. He is scheduled to appear for Double-A Binghamton beginning Sunday and if all goes well, Marte is likely to return to the big club at some point during its nine-game homestand that begins Tuesday. Jared Jones and Colin Holderman, Pirates

Jones (Grade 2 right lat strain) made his first rehab start with Triple-A Indianapolis on Thursday, throwing 47 pitches (30 strikes) over 2 2/3 innings of work.

Holderman was placed on the 15-day injured list Thursday with a right wrist sprain. More >

Oakland expects to know more about the next steps for Wilson (left hamstring strain) in the next week. He began a running progression on Monday but the club plans to be extra cautious with Wilson given the nature of hamstring injuries. More >

Casey Mize, Tigers

Mize (left hamstring strain) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo on Thursday, throwing 35 pitches (20 strikes) over 2 1/3 scoreless innings. He will make his next rehab start Tuesday. More >
