Make the Most of Your Life at Keio
From matriculation to graduation, Keio offers a wide range of academic and student services to make sure students are active, healthy, and ready to make the most of life during and after college.
The International Center has information on various scholarships for international applicants and current students. For scholarship details and application methods, please refer to the International Center website.
Keio University offers international students a range of housing, which vary in location, cost, and terms and conditions. Since there is a set number of available rooms in the dormitories, not all applicants will be able to get a room if there are too many applications. Renting private accommodation is another option for students. It is not common for students in Japan to share a room or a house. Please refer to the website below for further information about student housing.
Your university life begins now. New students attend in suits, filling the ceremony hall with energy and excitement.
There are plenty of events targeted at new students held between May and July. We hope they help you get used to life on campus.
The Waseda-Keio Baseball Games are a tradition that first began in 1903. The games take place every year in spring and fall with faculty, staff, and students alike coming together to cheer on the university team.
The Tanabata Festival and colorful yukata are a big part of the summer experience at SFC, where you can interact with local people and enjoy the spectacular fireworks show.
Make use of your extra time. Take part in short-term faculty-specific programs or language courses, or spend time conducting research in the field.
Yagami Festival is full of content that captures the spirit of the Faculty of Science and Technology. Students and visitors alike can experience the joys of science and go on tours of the laboratories on campus.
Shiba-Kyoyaku Festival is powered by the energy of the Faculty of Pharmacy students. Last year, prospective students were invited to talk with current students and go on campus tours.
Yotsuya Festival is organized by students of the School of Medicine and Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care. The Shinanomachi Campus truly comes to life during the festival.
One of Japan's largest campus festivals, Mita Festival is punctuated with well-planned academic events and entertainment. It gives students—through their seminar classes, student associations, clubs, and otherwise—an opportunity to showcase their talents while food stalls and on-stage performances contribute to the wide-ranging appeal of the festival.
Commencement brings your studies at Keio to a close. Many graduates can be seen around campus taking pictures in their traditional hakama to commemorate this special day.
