The role of the Center is to raise awareness of Icelandic literature, both in Iceland and abroad, and to promote its distribution.

34 Translation grants from Icelandic into foreign languages allocated - 10/29/24 News

Among works that will be translated are Lungu by Pedro Gunnlaugur García, Sögur & Ljóð by Ásta Sigurðardóttir and Armeló by Þórdís Helgadóttir.

New website on Icelandic literature in Sweden: Läs Islandska Böcker - 10/29/24 News

The Icelandic embassy in Stockholm and translator John Swedenmark in co-operation with Icelandic Literature Center have launched a new website where information on all Icelandic books in Swedish can be found.
