Last 9 July, the nanosatellite ³Cat-4 lifted off from French Guiana aboard Ariane 6, the new rocket of the European Space Agency (ESA). This nanosatellite is the fifth created by the NanoSat Lab of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - BarcelonaTech (UPC), which has the support of the IEEC. ³Cat-4 will measure weather and climate phenomena using instrumentation developed by students, and will observe the Earth to monitor, among others, ice and soil moisture.
