This unique event presents a formidable challenge to the most adventurous runners, with underfoot conditions of snow and ice, average windchill temperatures of -20°C / -4°F, and the potential for fierce katabatic winds. Set against the stunning backdrop of Antarctica at an altitude of 600 meters, this event tests more than endurance; it's a battle against the elements in the heart of this icy expanse.
