Oh, these are funny, thanks for the laughs! Some of these books I had to read just because of their titles!

I would love to get nearly all of these books for the titles alone. I never thought there would be so many. Hope more turn up for the laughs alone like Alice said :D

huh? Baby Jesus and Butt plug are the most random words I've ever heard put together. Just thought it was funny...
"The baby jesus butt plugg.a fairy tale" WHAT.THE.HELL :) is amazing..omg It doesnt compell me to read it though..

I missed that one so thanks for pointing it out...too funny!

The Knife of Never Letting Go. It's is such a beautifuland irresistable title. Once I heard it, I just had to read the book
Everything That Rises Must Converge... Now I have the song by Shriekback of that title stuck in my head.
This list needs to be weeded.... badly. How are "Lamb" and "Table 21" in the top 100?
The content of the book isn't important, this is about titles!
I'm thinking Lamb is included because the full title is "Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal", which is actually pretty funny. To me, anyway!
Don't have time to go through the entire list, but some of my personal favourites, regardless:The Way Some People Die by Ross Macdonald. Some titles just scream 'NOIR.'
Somebody Owes Me Money - Donald Westlake. This title makes me crack up for some reason.
If I'd Killed Him When I Met Him - Sharyn McCrumb. A far more common sentiment than most men realize.
I Still Miss My Man, But My Aim Is Getting Better by Sarah Shankman. See above.
Bimboes of the Death Sun - Sharyn McCrumb
My Year of Rest and Relaxation by Ottessa Mossfegh. Come on. You know that title alone has you picking it up.
And then there are the masters of poetic and eye-grabbing titles, the Japanese:
The Sound of Waves - Mishima Yukio
The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea - Mishima Yukio.
The Reason I Jump by Higashida Naoki
Lonely Castle in the Mirror by Tsujimura Mizuki
The Traveling Cat Chronicles by Arikawa Hiro
In Praise of Shadows by Tanizaki Junichiro
An Artist of the Floating World by Kazuo Ishiguro
The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro
The Devotion of Suspect X by Higashino Keigo
The Silent Cry by Oe Kenzaburo
The Sound of the Mountain by Kawabata Yasunari
The Narrow Road to the Deep North by Basho Matsuo. Richard Flanagan 'borrowed' the title from Basho-san.
Night on the Galactic Railroad by Miyazawa Kenji
Almost Transparent Blue by Murakami Ryu
Cloud of Sparrows by Matsuoka Takashi
Can you say that Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? is an awesome title? Because it immediately catches the reader's attention and has a surprising amount to do with the actual plot.
I don't think books with simply the name of the main character --"Rebecca", "Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde" -- belong on this list even though they are classics. Neither do biographies with titles like "My Life" !! Titles with quotes from poets catch my interest -- "Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow", "For Whom the Bell Tolls."
