About this ebook

When Tim Drexler concluded his government investigation of the UFO crash at Roswell, New Mexico, in 1998, he carried within him classified information he was duty-bound to keep secret. He had received a message from extraterrestrial people of a far advanced civilization, which if made known would reveal a sinister agenda being developed here on Earth.

The message included vital information concerning an impending transition that would place American democracy under the control of a one-world government. The shadow government operates an insidious transformation process that is almost impossible to identify. Two witnesses to Tims interview with the ETs were murdered in order to keep the message from becoming known. When Tim decides to reveal the message publically, the Hollywood faction applies pressure to prevent the established news organizations from reporting it.

A diligent FBI agent and a CIA operative work together tenaciously to solve the murders, and also to keep Drexler from becoming a third victim.

Little is known about the space people who made a visit to New Mexico in 1998. Even less is known about the celestial family of like-humans who miraculously survived the crash and then told their story to security officials of the United States.

Although their planet exists under similar cosmic conditions as Earth and sustains life, it is far advanced scientifically with regard to understanding and controlling their environment. Their isolated planet of Bethan lies beyond the known planets in the distant area of the universe known as the event horizon, where all matter ends.

Their spacecraft is able to travel at speeds far above that which is possible within the Earth’s atmosphere. There is no pull of gravity to distort light rays and time. Their ship is powered by microwave energy produced by light rays from their sun. Rays flowing through a pure atmosphere also provides pure nutrition in outer space. When on an extended space flight, their powdered food is digested by the same microwave technology that powers their spacecraft and provides energy to their body. Periodically, during a trip, a hose fixed to a port in the neck of each crew member allows microwave energy to flow into glands throughout their body. The energy causes the glands to excrete nutritious hormones. Those hormones enter every cell in their body to build up stamina and maintain health. It enables the ETs to go for long periods of time without natural food or water.

The space people have skeletal bodies, much like the humans but much of it is composed of many layers of sponge-like muscle that contains the receptor glands and provides a measure of protection against accidental injury. However, their new protective equipment and metallic garments, designed to keep them safe, were still untested. Also uncertain was the effect an impure atmosphere might have on the microwave system they relied upon.

For a long time, they were reluctant to venture farther than the planets Pluto and Neptune because of the resistance to speed and the slowdown of time in that atmosphere. The gravitational pull beyond Neptune became increasingly strong as they passed into the Milky Way. The magnetic draw of every planet they passed caused them to travel at a slower rate. This was an unknown phenomenon that might continue to a dangerous level.

A family of Slegnas, as they called themselves, told security agents that they had come to Earth forty years earlier, but at that time lacked the protective equipment that would ensure their survival in a contaminated atmosphere. Although their spacecraft was untested, it had been redesigned in preparation for an exploratory flight into outer space beyond where any previous trip had been made and at near the speed of light. They installed a needle-nose front and a chromite body to pierce through dense matter that would have destroyed earlier models. The new design would prevent damage to the ship by dust particles and space matter that contain silicates and ice and are very dense between the planets of the Milky Way.

They told their story about how while flying on an exploratory trip to study atmospheric conditions within the galaxy, they encountered resistance that indicated further travel was unsafe. The resistance between the nearest planet of Pluto and its neighbor Neptune continued to increase as they came closer to Earth. Although the ship’s new design made it possible to deflect matter and deliver them through the galaxy, the effect gravity had on their craft was unforeseeable and difficult to understand.

When they passed Saturn, they became curious about a small light far off in the distant dark section of the universe where no star had ever been seen before. Thinking it might be a new star just being formed, they decided to travel toward it. As they moved closer to the light, it appeared brighter. Their curiosity was drawing them into an unchartered area where no exploration mission had ever gone before.

Soon satellite imagery on an electronic meter began to detect contaminated particles. The light rays were unsteady, and the ship began to vibrate. They believed they were nearing an asteroid, or perhaps a planet. The craft was traveling at a much slower speed. They decided it was not safe to venture farther. Instead, they would use their sonar vision to draw information from any electronic equipment that might be in use if life did exist in the area of the light. Bits of information flowed from electronic devices everywhere in the world at a rate that would challenge any known data collector. Information was processed and recorded instantly.

They learned that Earth people were still suffering from wars, famines, and epidemics, as well as natural disasters. The Slegnas knew about those things only through their study of the ancient history of Bethan. Shortly after life was created there, the first people on the planet succumbed to satanic influence. The curse existed on Bethan for thousands of years before it was finally relinquished by the will of the people. A great world war had just ended on Earth.

The Axis nations of Germany, Italy, and Japan had launched attacks on other nations to conquer and exploit their people. The opposing nations, led by the United States and Great Britain, were able to defeat the Axis after six years of fighting. It was a war to end all wars, and afterward, there followed an era of peace. It gave good leaders time to make good things happen for their people. Freedom was restored for many oppressed people of the world in a war that cost the lives of many others. Evil was destroyed, and measures were taken to replace it with moral leadership. More information began to flow freely from electronic transmissions everywhere on Earth.

Within minutes, it became apparent that the flame they were following was actually a torch. It was at the end of an outstretched arm. Soon an entire body came into view. It was the Statue of Liberty. Information from computers on Earth indicated that the statue was a symbol of freedom and hope. As they came closer to the statue, the ship’s vibration became less violent, and then eventually stopped.

They were surprised to find there was no dangerous contamination in the area of the statue and that they could make a safe landing, which they made at night. To them the statue appeared to be a majestic goddess in the form of a human being very similar to themselves, and this indicated that life existed in this planet they now found themselves in. They were apprehensive about how they might be received by the Earth people. However, there was no sign of life in the area where they landed, and the sun would not appear for about three hours. They decided to explore the statue. The spaceship made a quiet landing on a level area close by. The structure was unoccupied, and they entered it.

Historic documents and brochures on the statue verified the earlier information they had received on the electronic monitor about democracy. They were inside a symbol of hope, freedom, and justice for refugees seeking safety and opportunity in a new land. The United States was a young nation offering liberty to oppressed people. Its constitution was based upon the principles of the Holy Bible. That was especially encouraging for the Bethan people. They knew there was still much evil on the Earth, but this nation could provide hope, not only for its own welfare but also for the rest of the world, where little hope existed.

It made the Slegnas happy to know God had created life in another part of the universe. However, they knew that sin was something they could not remain in for a long time. This planet seemed to be one mired in sin, much like their own planet had been before the Slegna people eliminated it by their own free will. They decided it was not wise to rely on their new germ-resistant paraphernalia to protect them. They were starting to feel lightheaded, warm, and sick. They were also bothered by the thought that the Earth people might resent their intrusion. If they were mistaken to be enemies, they might find themselves in a very dangerous situation. If Earth people could devise ways to kill each other, they could also have ways to kill those from other planets.

On their way back to their home planet of Bethan, they vowed to return at some time in the future when Earth would be without sin. All of them felt confident that the great statue and the just nation it represented would inspire the Earth people to reject sin and seek God as the Bible directed. Once the Slegnas were beyond Earth’s gravity, resistance began to reduce, and the return trip to Bethan continued without incident.

A period of fifty years on Earth passed quickly on Bethan. The same group of Slegnas who visited set out to greet the late-blooming planet of peace, joy, and love. But when they returned to Earth in 1998, they were saddened to see that the statue’s brilliant flame had become a mere ember, and the many smaller flames were no longer visible. They anticipated a smooth landing as the spaceship descended toward a safe area. Instead the craft began to rock violently, and they were no longer able to control it. The safe area was gone.

They could only move laterally within what seemed to be a magnetic field. The ship was unable to rise above or descend below it. They were in a dynamic vacuum that was drawing them westward along a beam of light that withstood the pull of gravity. They turned on the surveillance monitor to try to determine the location of the magnetic force that had control of their ship. The surveillance equipment processed information about the source of the vacuum with speed and accuracy. The laser beam originated from a large building in New York City. It triggered a magnetic centrifugal force located in California. There was a nuclear reactor installed at the summit of Haystack Mountain in New Mexico, where the fusion of atomic nuclei is converted into energy.

A small but powerful anti-American faction in Hollywood had recently acquired the capability to remotely maintain a dynamic vacuum beam that could intercept and capture any object in its path between New York and its underground dynamo near Ojai, California. The vacuum path, as it was called, was originally designed for the federal government as a defensive radar system for protection against enemy aircraft that might attack the United States. When activated, it could disable the electronic controls of any aircraft and cause it to crash. The path had been maintained under contract with the private company that created it. However, ownership had recently been transferred to Scientific Security Solutions, a research organization in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Slegnas learned that since their visit fifty years ago, subtle anti-American and anti-Christian propaganda had been changing the culture of America. Instead of the United States being a positive influence on the oppressed people of the world, the foreign nations, with help from the Hollywood faction, had changed the country. A large minority of its citizens had turned their back on God and begun to worship idols of fast money, illicit sex, and drugs. Young people who grew up during the cultural revolution were indoctrinated by professors and policymakers in government and the media. They unwittingly marched to the beat of an evil drummer.

As their spacecraft was being drawn to the west, the Slegnas tried to maneuver it out of the vacuum path by accelerating and banking without success. As they crossed the Rocky Mountains range, they knew their destiny was soon to be known, and it did not look good. The Slegna pilot decided to fire the retro-rockets in an attempt to break free from the force and escape to the upper atmosphere. However, the thrust turned the ship downward, and it crashed on a mesa in New Mexico. The government had a high-powered radar set up in the Roswell area, which interfered with the controlling mechanism of the UFO, causing it to fall to Earth.

Although their spacecraft was totally destroyed, the ETs were not injured. They were blessed with a body that was resilient and protected from injury and death by external means. But although their bodies withstood the crash, they knew they could not remain for a long period of time in a contaminated atmosphere.

They believed sin could atrophy their brain and destroy their ability to think rationally. They sat down under a cluster of willow trees near the wreckage of their spaceship. They wanted to collect their thoughts and determine what alternatives they might have in dealing with their current situation. They were intruders, and if the Earth people turned out to be hostile and resentful barbarians who might mistake them to be enemies, they could be vulnerable to some life-ending source unknown to them; and the purpose of their lives could be wasted.

Their first thought was to thank God for the experience they were given to learn what their planet of Bethan had to endure in its infancy. Before the people rejected sin and put their faith and trust in God, much suffering and grief prevailed. The Slegna leader then prayed for guidance so that they might be useful in some way here on Earth before the end of their physical lives. He knew they could not survive very long on Earth’s atmosphere, unless God wanted to use them for some good purpose.

Tim Drexler was investigating a chemical plant explosion at Ruidoso, New Mexico, when he got a call from John Kozar, his boss at Guardian Group. Drexler was field commander for a private security organization that maintained a database of information about foreign agents and suspected terrorists in the United States. Kozar told him about a spacecraft that was reported to have crashed near Roswell and instructed him to leave for that site. Bob Clark would go to Ruidoso to complete the investigation there. Tim’s job was to investigate tragedies such as fires, airplane crashes, and bombings in which terrorists might be involved. His findings were reviewed and then passed on to the Scientific Security Solutions, a brainstorming organization of top scientists whose purpose is to review the initial investigative reports. They did an analysis to determine whether sabotage was involved and then dispatched their findings and recommendations to federal intelligence agencies.

Tim had seen plenty of disasters in the ten years he had been working for Guardian Group, but this was the first time he had received a call to investigate the crash of a spacecraft. There could hardly be foreign agents or terrorists involved even if it was really a UFO. However, his job was to investigate it, not to question it.

Tim woke his deputy, Paul Buddy Aaron, from a midday doze, and both men ran to the company van. Tim liked working with Buddy, not only because he was an efficient investigator but also because of his infectious sense of humor. He kept serious matters in proper perspective.

Buddy said, Why do I get this feeling we are running into trouble. He added sarcastically, I really feel sorry for Kozar. He has to go into an air-conditioned office every afternoon, get on the phone, and switch people around from job to job and then write up reports from their reports.

Tim said, Kozar paid his dues. He worked sixteen years as an investigator before getting the director’s job. He has a lot of responsibility. You and I can make some stupid mistakes once in a while and get away with it, but he can’t. He gets paid for making positive decisions and no mistakes.

Well, if the flying saucer is a mistake, he is in big trouble.

When you get to be director, you will find it is not an easy job. He has to evaluate information that flows into GG every day and still supervise guys like us.

Buddy said, Kozar is not that much older than you. He stays in shape and is good for another twenty years. By that time, we will both be too old for the job.

On their way over the mountainous road to Roswell, Tim and Buddy joked about Kozar’s message about a spaceship from Mars. Buddy said, Like we don’t have enough trouble on Earth. If a little green man wants amnesty, tell him to leave and come in the right way, through Mexico.

They passed rolling hills with rough, barren soil on their left and high, rugged mountains on the right. In the distance, a pocket of dust arose and swept forward like smoke from a smoldering fire. There were only a few clouds overhead to break the true blue of the sky and shade them from the brilliant rays of the sun. They drove on, both men quite silent. Tim’s thoughts were focused on their destination and what they might encounter. A spaceship? His face scrunched up in a disbelieving frown, his eyebrows expressing sincere and amused doubt.

Kozar said we should watch out for the police chief’s car parked next to the elementary school about one-half mile from Roswell.

Buddy said, How are we supposed to determine the cause of mechanical trouble in a UFO whose source of energy we know nothing about?

Tim laughed. Who is more qualified to verify it can’t be understood than us? They came to an intersection, where a group of about ten people were standing together in serious conversation. A police car came into view just beyond the intersection. It was the chief’s car, and Chief Jack Geer was sitting in it, awaiting their arrival. Tim drove into the school driveway and stopped beside the police car. He introduced himself and Buddy to the chief and showed his ID.

Geer said, Most of the onlookers have gone from the crash site, and it has been cordoned off. You can drive up to the site, and I will follow you. They drove about three hundred feet up an asphalt road to a large level mesa where the UFO had crashed.

A line of trees separated the crash site from a playground area behind the school. Pieces of the UFO could be seen strewn across an acre of ground. The fuselage and the tail section were lying close together in the middle of the mesa. Every piece glistened and reflected the sun’s rays. The body seemed to be made of glass-covered metal. The smell of hot enamel lingered in the air, causing Tim to wonder how safe it might be to search through the wreckage.

When they arrived at the site, they were stopped by Roswell police officers for identification. The police had been deployed to cordon off the area from the public. After getting clearance, Tim drove to the crash area, and Chief Geer led them to the wreckage. The rubble was strewn across an acre of ground flattened by the impact, and it was unidentifiable as an aircraft. As they approached the wreckage, they could hardly believe what they were seeing. A spaceship had been demolished, and five strange-looking people were sitting together under a cluster of trees conversing in a foreign language.

Buddy whispered, Those are not little green men. They look like us, sort of.

They appeared to be shorter-than-average humans with oval-shaped eyes and flat noses. Except for those distinguishing features and their full-body fabric covering, they looked very much like people on Earth.

The Slegnas watched the activity around them. They were alive, but also alone in a land that bore no resemblance to Bethan, and they appeared to be fearful. From the information they had received on their electronic surveillance device, they were in a land devoid of genuine peace and Christian love.

They knew they no longer had control of their destiny. The Slegnas could only wait out what might be in store for them.
