A Killer's Mind

A solid 3.5 star read!

A forensic psychologist teams up with an FBI special agent (they have great working chemistry, will a romance develop?) to track down the Strangling Undertaker in A KILLER’S MIND. Gruesome and chilling the perpetrator strangles and embalms his victims then poses them.

Told in shifting points of view from Zoe and Tatum this story toggles between 1997 and 2016. I’m not a huge fan of flashbacks as I find them distracting but in this case it worked revealing a significant plot twist.

Nothing groundbreaking here as I found the plot typical for this genre but still highly entertaining and kept me tuned in. I’m definitely in for this series!

Note: I listened to this one on audio – some of the narration was tough to take in the form of bad accents (think lousy New York accent). I think I would have preferred reading this one and will do so moving forward with this series.

I liked the book, but I really want someone to tell the narrator how to pronounce Huron.

Mike Omer is definitely on my favourite author list! Fast paced, really good storyline, nothing is far fetched and Zoe's profiling makes total sense! Keeps you on edge and wanting to know more. Narrator Brittany Pressley is definitely a bonus plus to the story! I've also listened to other books by Brittany and she's absolutely perfect! including her interpretation of male voices.

This had me hooked! I'm pretty picky and this genre is my main read... I LOVED it

Well writen a work and listen to audio books, work alone most of the time. The book kept me hanging on and the reader did an excellent job.

It was great. Very suspenseful and I’m ready for the next book. I’m pumped!

Even though it’s about a murderer Love the wit and humour. Keep me listening. They way people where described and things they did made each have there personality, as I’m sure you can imagine and possibly know people with similar personalities

Great book and excellent narrators. The ending left you waiting on the next installment ?

The story was interesting and I like the setup for the series, so will definitely listen to the next one. The crime is rather gruesome but bearable. Only thing that wasn’t ideal was the narrator’s attempt at a Massachusetts accent for the main character. It was distracting and didn’t add to the listening experience at all.

Such a great book just discovered Mike Omer so glad I did. Lisa Gardner, Lisa unger James Patterson fans will love this

I liked it a lot. The beginning I wasnt too crazy about but it redeemed. Also the chapters cut off at the end for the longest while. I hope theres a second book. HUGE cliffhanger.

I really liked the story that the book offered... it was well put together and a huge amount of research was put into it, plus the addition of snippets of Zoe's background into the story didn't disrupt the flow of it, on the contrary it helped to understand Zoe' nature and mind and understand why at times she felt frustrating to the reader. on the other hand having Tatum mixed in with zoe it balances the the story and it didn't make it boring as well as help open her up to us.... all in all am looking forward to the next book in the series.

This book kept me engaged the whole time. I just wish she had killed Rod Glover.
