When a Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) requirement is identified in a SORN, the collection package must be submitted to OMB before the SORN can publish. The diagram below briefly outlines how these two process can work in tandem.

SORNs with a PRA requirement must also list this information in Section Nine of the Narrative Statement. The required information includes:

• OMB collection required (Y/N)
• OMB Control Number (if approved)
• Title of Collection
• Date Approved or Submitted
• Expiration Date (if approved)
• SORN Processing and Ownership
