Alex Rodriguez was left shocked on Sunday night as one of his daughters surprised him at the Minnesota Timberwolves game.

Rodriguez, who is attempting to buy the team with business partner Marc Lore, was in the stands as the T-Wolves lost 116-107 to the Dallas Mavericks and fell into an 0-3 hole in the Western Conference Finals.

But the former Yankees star was given a heartwarming surprise during the game as his daughter Natasha surprised him at the Target Center - with the help of her sister Ella.

In a clip posted to Rodriguez's Instagram, he could be seen sitting with Ella, 16, as his younger daughter distracted him by pointing at the jumbotron.

With the hopeful Timberwolves owner looking the other way, Natasha then snuck up beside her father courtside - before the pair shared an emotional hug.

Rodriguez was visibly stunned by the surprise, with his mouth agape for several seconds.

He then gave Natasha a sweet kiss on the forehead before she appeared to give her sister Ella a hug as well.

He wrote on Instagram, 'I could not believe it! Ella and @thenatasharodriguez you two got me so good.

The ex-slugger has been a fixture at Timberwolves games this postseason as he and Lore look to finalize their deal for the team.

They announced plans to buy the team from Glen Taylor in 2021, but Taylor recently exercised his right to pull out of the last part of the structured deal, saying the  prospective buyers failed to make the deadline for the final $600million payment (of $1.5billion total).

Rodriguez and Lore denied missing the final payment, saying in a joint statement that they have 'fulfilled our obligations, have all necessary funding' and called Taylor's move an 'unfortunate case of seller's remorse.'

Lore and Rodriguez have since claimed that they're waiting for NBA approval on a 90-day extension.
