David Longacre

Event Project Manager

David Longacre is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable event project managers in the industry.  David has been providing simultaneous interpretation expertise and coordinating conference interpreters with CSI for over 35 years.  He specializes in large scale events and complex projects internationally.

David provides clients with an end-to-end solution; from comprehensive specifications to planning and detailed execution of each event that CSI produces.  Developing a network over the years, David has organized conference simultaneous interpreters throughout the world, having worked assignments on-site across 5 continents in 23 countries worldwide.

David’s career long passion is educating potential and existing clients on the nuances of the industry, the unique aspects of simultaneous interpretation services, and the cultural distinctions of international audiences.

Garrett Engberg

Project Manager

Garrett Engberg has been working with CSI since joining the team as they returned from a successful Utah Winter Olympics in 2002. Bringing his experience from the theatrical side of live events where he has worked as a production manager, head carpenter, and technical tour manager with companies such as McCoy Rigby and Musical Theater West, to CSI to help head multi-location and touring style events. He can provide operations, logistic, and technical coordination for these events.  


Since the start of the pandemic, he has pivoted to becoming a company expert in integrating interpretation into virtual and hybrid style events, also out-of-the-box style solutions involving our equipment, such as Silent Theater. 


Some of the events that Garrett has helped work on include; The Fifth WTO Ministerial Conference in Cancún 2003, many Million Dollar Round Table Annual Meetings, multiple events with His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, The NATO Summit in Chicago 2012, The GLACIER Summit in Anchorage 2015, WB/IMF Annual Meeting in Lima 2015, 24th International Seapower Symposium in Newport 2021, Summit for Democracy in DC 2021, Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles 2022, and The U.S.-Africa Leaders’ Summit in DC 2022. 

Gloria Gonzalez

Sales & Marketing Manager

Ms. Gonzalez leads CSI’s marketing and sales initiatives.  Gloria works closely with CSI’s Sales and Operations teams to develop targeted programs that optimize CSI presence in key markets and create programs that benefit their client base and the industry as a whole.

Gloria has an impressive background as operations manager for Melia, the 17th largest hotel group in the world.

Gloria is a highly driven individual and athlete. She completed one of the most cruelly athletic competitions – The Half Ironman. She is currently training to do the Miami Marathon.

Michael Darling

Technical Services Manager

Michael brings an impressive array of technical knowledge and expertise in the field of simultaneous interpretation (SI) systems.

His hands-on style and attention to detail have contributed to the success of countless events including the US African Leaders Summit, Nuclear Security Summit, the Glacier Summit, U.S Gulf States Cooperative Council Meeting at Camp David, the Papal Visit at St. Matthews Cathedral, the U.S. Caribbean Central American Energy Summit, the ASEAN Leaders Summit, Our Oceans Summit, Meeting of the Ministers of the Global Coalition to defeat ISIS, Google Top Contributor event, YouTube Hero’s meeting and many other large domestic and international Corporate events.

Michael is trusted by the top global organizations to deliver flawless mission critical events.

Rebecca Smith

Administrative Coordinator

Becky is an Administrative Coordinator with over 15 years of experience working alongside her team at Conference Systems.

Becky is a key player within the organization and specializes in a crucial array of administration responsibilities including making travel arrangements globally to get CSI teams to their destination and onsite and on time. 

Becky also provides customer facing responsibilities and is the center point of CSI’s highly rated customer service platform.

Shel Gallun

Project Manager

Shel is a highly seasoned project manager at Conference Systems with over 17 years of experience. Shel combines his expertise with simultaneous interpretation, and live event production to create successful international meetings and conferences.

Prior to CSI, Shel worked with the International Monetary Fund’s interpretation services unit for 12 years.  He has worked with high level clients ranging from The US Army Chiefs of Defense, US/China Joint Commission on Trade and Commerce, as well as several international corporate and governmental organizations such as The World Bank, The International Development Bank, and the US State Department.

“Sonny” Eugene Moxley

Project Manager / Conference Coordinator

Sonny brings 23 years of global live entertainment experience ranging from project and production management to full scale organization of Broadway-style musicals

As a 7 year veteran as a Project Manager / Conference Coordinator for CSI,  Sonny provides Simultaneous Interpretation, Audio Visual equipment, and logistical meeting support to the Federal Government, Armed Forces and international businesses in the Washington DC area.

Stephen Berney

Operations Manager

Stephen Berney has been with Conference Systems for 25 years and has over 30 years of experience in the AV and SI industries.

 

In his current role as Operations Manager, Stephen is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the provision of Conference Systems rental equipment and technical support in the United States and abroad.

 

He has specified and supplied equipment and technical support for meetings ranging in scale from Pentagon briefings and USTR negotiations to international and global conventions.

 

Stephen has been key in the handling of on-site project management for an array of Department of State events such as the APEC Senior Officials Meetings in Montana and San Francisco, the APEC Leader Summit in Hawaii, the GLACIER Summit in Anchorage, AK, the U.S. ASEAN Leader Summit in Sunnyland, CA, the Chiefs of Mission Conference in Washington, DC and the Nuclear Security Summit in Washington DC.

 

He has played a major role in the coordination and logistics for the G-8 Summit, two G-20 Summits and two Nuclear Summits. As well as The US – Arab States Gulf Cooperative Summit held at Camp David.

Brandee Smith

Sales Coordinator

Brandee is a sales coordinator who has worked with her team at Conference Systems for over 10 years. 

Throughout her time with CSI Brandee has worked with both the sales and rentals team in a diverse range of tasks. From coordinating with the accounting team, to answering customer inquiries, to working directly with our suppliers,  Brandee helps to ensure the inner workings of CSI continue to run smoothly.
