Scout Skits
Skits form the body of a pack meeting or campfire program. A couple well-rehearsed and acted out comedy skits are talked about for weeks afterward. Scout skits tend to be gross or slapstick but there's no reason a good thought-provoking one can't be thrown in. Find free scripts for your group of scouts or search for specific humorous skits for your next campfire program.

Comedy skits bring a den or patrol together and give them a chance to work on their showmanship. A cub scout skit tends to be simpler and shorter than an older scout skit, but most work for all boys and girls. Some will be too subtle for the younger scouts, so choose obvious ones for pack meetings. These selections can be used by youth groups and others. Use our campfire program form to help plan your next campfire skit.

Looking for a cub scout skit my den used in 1960-70.
I know it is a long time ago but it went over well.
Name: 'Nothing Happens in February'
Theme - cub scout complains about nothing happening in February. He falls asleep in chair.
Dreams about the Presidents. Lincoln, Washington ?? they come on stage and tell their accomplishments.
Then Ben Franklin enters and does something similar BUT he was not born in February and ???.

Another we used to do was "The Quartermaster's Store." It requires a
brave person behind the blanket. Two scouts hold a blanket on a pole,
while another behind the blanket is the Quartermaster. Scouts will come
up and ask for parts of a uniform, like "I need an Official Boy Scout
Neckerchief." The Quartermaster will repeat the order and throw it over
the blanket. This goes on for an Official Boy Scout Shirt, Belt, Shoes,
Socks, T-shirt, and Pants. When the last order for One pair of Official
Boy Scout Underwear comes, the Quartermaster says "One pair of Official
Boy Scout ... NOOOOOOO!" and runs off into the woods from behind the
blanket wearing only his underwear! I said he had to be brave!
