zero point energy of the quantum vacuum (ZPE)

By conventional physics, we are informed in every textbook that the cosmic ether of space is an archaic theory once widely held, but was discarded after Michelson-Morley failed to detect it in 1887, with their new optical interferometer device. We are instructed, they obtained only a “null” or “zero” result. Nearly every student and professor today knows this, and repeats it as gospel. 

But is this narrative true?

Michelson-Morley did in fact detect a small but significant ether-drift velocity, as clearly stated in their original 1887 publication. They wrote: 

<quote>“…the displacement [of interference fringes] to be expected was 0.4 fringe. The actual displacement was certainly less than a twentieth part of this [0.02 fringe], and probably less than a fourtieth part [0.01 fringe]. …the relative velocity of the earth and ether is probably less than one-sixth the earth’s orbital velocity, and certainly less than one-fourth”. <unquote> (Michelson-Morley, Am. With the Earth’s orbital velocity at around 30 km/sec, that one-sixth or one-fourth fraction, of what was “to be expected”, would place the measured ether-drift maximum at something approaching, or between a ~5 to ~7.5 km/sec velocity. 

That velocity was low by the standards of the static-ether theory of Newton, which anticipated up to several hundred km/sec for both Earth’s orbital and the solar system’s combined motions within a presumed static-ether galaxy.

Such a ~5 to ~7.5 km/sec maximum velocity, however, was agreeable with a material and partially Earth-entrained and slowed-down cosmic ether, which dynamically moves with the Earth, close to the velocity of the Earth itself. The effect is somewhat similar to how water flowing inside a pipe has a frictionally-reduced velocity close to the interior surface of the pipe. A 'field' according to quantum pilot-wave theory (Bush 2015) and quantum field theory (QFT) (Griffiths 2009) when applied to the working of the universe is a fluid that is spread across the universe with a value taken in that space which can change in time. New observations in the fields of quantum fluid mechanics, artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning in machines are providing us novel insights into how quantum processing, memory creation and storage work using the laws that governs the quantum world and quantum field theories. Such an understanding can be extrapolated to the workings of the mind to see if similar processes underlie the functioning of living systems. This paper hypothesizes that the construct of the mind is the resultant of chaotic system of interacting subatomic fields driven by force fields that intersperse with the quantum vacuum; a mechanism which has not yet been fully understood. We propose that this integrated phenomenon also gives rise to the subtle mechanisms that help in the formation of memories and also the structures which store these memories as reservoirs. The future of our evolution is the mind which evolves in these boundless intermingling quantum fields and their force fields within the quantum vacuum. With computers getting intelligent we are instantaneously but naively evolving our minds, and in the future, working together with these intelligent machines will augment it further. In fact, the design and working of these AI systems are resultant of the proof of the intelligence of conscious mind. This way the working of mind is always superior to those of the artificial systems that emerge from it.

The word soul in the cell-soul pathway does not have a scientific definition but has been hypothesized to be an indefinite, non-structured, massless energy made up of electromagnetic radiations that is confined in the cytoskeletal network of a living cell. It is a coherent, imperceptible, uncontainable and recyclable support pathway, which uses energy to promulgate consciousness in the cell supporting its functions (Pereira 2015). The pathway currently provides a mechanistic explanation of the flow of consciousness within the body, but the intent of this paper is to provide an arduous explanation of non-local consciousness or disembodiment observed in near-death experiences. The paper hypothetically subsets the cell-soul pathway with the presence of two forms of consciousness, consistent with a recently developed model by Reddy (2016b): bodily consciousness, which manages functions only at cellular level, and functional consciousness, which is present in the body but can get disembodied and perform non-locally; the two forms of consciousness represent the overall state of consciousness. The non-locality of subjective experiences observed in near-death cases can be related to the realm of quantum physics – quantum entanglement between the two forms of consciousness that can demonstrate the capability of storing information holographically within the void or vacuum with the ability to create memories beyond the limitations of the brain and body.

This article proposes a simple but strong zero-energy hypothesis (ZEH), which is essentially an ambitious speculative extension of the famous zero-energy universe hypothesis (ZEUH) (updating ZEUH to an “extended ZEUH” version) applied on virtual particle-antiparticle pairs (VPAPs) produced by virtual photons or virtual gluons. ZEH ambitiously proposes (and predicts):
(1) a new type of boson-fermion symmetry/”mass-conjugation” based on a simple and elegant quadratic equation (with partially unknown coefficients) proposed by ZEH: all known rest masses of all elementary particles (EPs) in the Standard model (SM) of particle physics are redefined as real solutions of this simple quadratic equation; based on the same quadratic equation, ZEH indicates/predicts an unexpected profound bijective connection between the three types of neutrinos and the massless bosons (gluon, photon and the hypothetical graviton); ZEH also offers a new interpretation of Planck length as the approximate length threshold above which the rest masses of all known EPs have real number values (with mass units) instead of complex/imaginary number values (as predicted by the same unique equation proposed by ZEH); among other EPs, ZEH also predicts the existence of two distinct types of massless neutral fermions (correspondents/conjugates of the neutral Higgs boson and Z bosons) which both move at the speed of light and  may be viable candidates for dark matter and dark energy;
(2) a strong quantum gravitational field (SQGF) (equaling the predicted strength of the electromagnetic field [EMF] at Planck scales, which EMF is also predicted to possess asymptotic freedom, similarly to the strong nuclear field [SNF]) implying a quantized spacetime (ST) composed from ST “voxels” (STVs) resulting in quantized/discrete distances at scales comparable to Planck length scales;
(3) ZEH is essentially a fundamental principle of electro-gravitational strength balance/symmetry at Planck scales, a principle which allows (as a sine-qua-non condition added to Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle [HUP]) the existence of virtual particle-antiparticle pairs (VPAPs) from the first place;
(4) ZEH also conjectures the existence of a unique large (but finite!) maximum density allowed in our universe (OU) shared by the electron neutrino and the pre-Big Bang singularity (pBBS) (which is thus regarded as a “renormalized” gravitational quasi-singularity) with all the other known/unknown EPs (which are regarded as “crocks” of pBBS);
(5) ZEH also proposes the concept of “practical radius” of any known/unknown EP and a unique formula for calculating this practical radius for any type of EP (associated with a unique big G value formula for any given practical radius/length scale).

ZEH distinguishes by the contrast between its simplicity and the richness/diversity of explanations, correlations and predictions it offers. The author of this paper resonates to Dirac’s vision on the importance of mathematical beauty in physical equations: “The research worker, in his efforts to express the fundamental laws of Nature in mathematical form, should strive mainly for mathematical beauty […]It often happens that the requirements and beauty are the same, but where they clash the latter must take precedence.” [URL]; “A theory with mathematical beauty is more likely to be correct than an ugly one that fits some experimental data” (as he claimed in 1970 when referring to the renormalization of quantum electrodynamics which was Dirac’s paradigm of a mathematically “ugly” theory) [URL].
Zero is not only a number, but the symbol of both Nothingness and Everythingness (because all positive and negative numbers can be regarded as "born" in pairs from the same Zero to which they are symmetrical): furthermore, zero not only plays an essential central role in mathematics, but it also has a central role in physics and is a fundamental link between these two sciences, in the context of a possibly valid zero-energy universe theory (ZEUT).

Continuous Quantum Iteration (CQI), explores ....How did the local Universe get started? And where does this energy keep coming from? And what is the quantum vacuum really doing right now? Aspects of virtual quantum iteration are examined considering the plausibility that the Cosmic Microwave (CMB), and the Infra-Red Background (CIRB) are simple effects of Continual Quantum Vacuum Iterations occurring through Planck-Stoney scale interactions with a universal equilibrium event - horizon background.

This paper proposes a simple zero-energy hypothesis (ZEH) which is essentially a conservation principle applied on zero-energy (assigned to the ground state of vacuum) that predicts a repulsive strong gravitational field (SGF) acting at subnuclear scales under 10^(-22)m (the upper bound of the hypothetical non-zero radius of the electron as measured by using Penning traps). The role of the vacuum, in the Casimir Effect, is a matter of some dispute: the Casimir force has been variously described as a phenomenon resulting “from the alteration, by the boundaries, of the zero-point electromagnetic energy” (Bordag, Mohideen, & Mostepanenko, 2001), or a “van der Waals force between the metal plates” that can be “computed without reference to zero point energies” (Jaffe, 2005). Neither of these descriptions is grounded in a consistently quantum mechanical treatment of matter interacting with the electromagnetic field. However, the Casimir Effect has been canonically described within the framework of macroscopic quantum electrodynamics (Philbin, 2010). On this general account, the force is seen to arise due to the coupling of fluctuating currents to the zero-point radiation, and it is in this restricted sense that the phenomenon requires the existence of zero-point fields. The conflicting descriptions of the Casimir Effect, on the other hand, appear to arise from ontologies in which an unwarranted metaphysical priority is assigned either to the matter or the fields, and this may have a direct bearing on the problem of the cosmological constant.
