Activity coeffs. for NaCl in aq. mixts. contg. Na formate were detd. at 25° from emf. measurements at different total ionic strengths.  At each total ionic strength studied, the measurements were carried out at different ratios of the Na formate to NaCl.  The exptl. activity coeffs. were fitted by using the Harned equation and the treatments of Scatchard et al. and Pitzer et al.  The excess Gibbs energies of these mixts. were also calculated
