Robert Parry was one of the most brilliante investigative journalists in the recent American History but his legacy shows that the Watergate Generation was unable to change the Media System in Washingtown where collusion between State and Editors is the orthodox canon defied briefly by a mixture of social insurgence and new journalism that  became a real Fourth Power. The marginalization of Perry at the end of the eighties turned to be  a cruel reminder that things came back to the usual propaganda after those years of collective illusion.
