Work Place Stress Management

The manufacturing industry is faced with the challenge to adhere to stringent environmental regulations due to the scarcity of natural resources, global warming and waste management issues. Increasing environmental concerns and awareness are the driving forces which push manufacturers all over the world to adopt green manufacturing practices. The present study on achieving environmental sustainability in manufacturing sector in SMEs through green manufacturing practices is motivated by the need for SMEs to employ best practices in manufacturing like other global manufacturing companies around the world. The study made use of primary data sourced from the employees of 10 selected SMEs located in and around Bachupalli Industrial belt, Hyderabad, Telangana state, through administering of questionnaire. Their responses were tested using appropriate statistical tools like the simple percentage and the Chi-square research techniques. Present study revealed that although environmental sustainability can be achieved in SMEs using green manufacturing practices but for the existence of certain obstacles that have made it look impossible. Therefore, the study recommended that such obstacles like lack of management support, lack of awareness, lack of strict legislation by government, lack of affordability, lack of skilled personnel etc., be promptly tackled and eliminated to make the SMEs achieve effective environmental sustainability through green manufacturing practices.

Workplace Spirituality among employees means the sense of connectivity of their souls with their work, where they consider themselves as spiritual beings with nourished souls which feels connected towards a sense of purpose where they find meaning in their work, sense of connectivity with community and joy. Now days the organisations are fostering spirituality in the workplace for establishing the efficient workforce with sense of commitment. This study aims to find out the degree of workplace spirituality among employees of GNA University. The study is an attempt to analyse the level of spirituality of the employees working at GNA University, Phagwara. It was done by collecting the information through a structured questionnaire designed for and distributed among GNA employees. The spirituality among the employees at work has been analysed in terms of four dimensions that are compassion during job, mindfulness at work, finding meaning in work, and level of happiness at work. The results revealed that on an average basis employees are compassionate at work, they possess great degree of mindfulness, moreover the study showed that employees has sense of connectivity with their work as they find meaning in their work but beside all of these factors the level of transcendence was also satisfactory, which indicates that the degree of joy in work is more than average. The organisation must germinate a seed of mindfulness, happiness and joy for fostering the work performance. This study also provides some suggestions for overall development of workplace spirituality among the employees.

Iş yerlerinde psikolojik şiddet - (mobbing) sorunsalı örgüt yazınında son yıllarda dile getirilen bir konu olup, akademi ve iş çevrelerinin dikkatini gittikçe daha fazla çeken bir kavram olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Bir çok araştırma; işyerindeki psikolojik şiddet- (mobbing)’in tüm stres kaynaklarindan daha yoğun ve yıkıcı bir etki yaptığına dair bulgular elde etmiştir. Turizm endüstrisinin yapısı psikolojik şiddetin ortaya cikmasina uygun bir ortam yaratmaktadır. Örgütlerde birçok farklı alanda psikolojik çöküntü yaşatma amacı taşıyan psikolojik şiddet -(mobbing)’in insan ilişkilerinin yoğun olarak yaşandığı turizm işletmelerindeki boyutlarinin ortaya konulması, örgüt,  çalışan ve sunulan hizmet açısından önem taşımakta ve bu eyleme duyarlılıkla yaklaşma gereğini artırmaktadır.
Bu doğrultuda yapılan araştırmanın amacı, su yüzüne yeni çıkmakta olan psikolojik şiddet-(mobbing) olgusunu açıklayarak, K.K.T.C.’deki bir zincir konaklama isletmesinde uygulanan arastirma sonuçları ile konuya bakış açısı kazandırmaktır.
